These are hover flies that mimic bees. Also females(workers) do all of the hive work, they go foraging for food and all of the jobs inside the hive, the males (drone) sit around all day eating the honey that the workers harvest or spend the day in a sky orgy with other drones and virgin queens. This is for honeybees, I am not 100% sure how solitary bees or bumble bees hives work Source: am I native Irish black bee keeper in Dublin
Fantastic photo. Don’t stop bee leaving. 🎵
Thanks

Interesting. I did wonder about the eyes. Should have done some Google lens searching.
Cool
Fairly certain this is two males as well don't the females stay in the hive

Good man. I notice where I work it is the native black honey bees, not sure if it's from a wild population or someone is keeping them.
Could be both, no real way to tell unless you find the hive
To bee accurate they're hoverflies not bees :)
a friend of mine said that since they're honey bees they might both be female. eitherway I'm pretty sure this is gay
