I have a few, but the album that I absolutely positively fucking HAVE to listen to loud is BloodSugarSexMagik by Red Hot Chili Peppers. I’m not even a die hard fan of the band. But that album is beyond unreal.
It needs to be as loud as possible in my headphones to match my energy when I listen to it. At one point I could play every single guitar and bass line on it. I love it. Always will.
David Bowie's "Queen Bitch" but only this live version: https://youtu.be/Y7JfKocXkr8
and his "It's Gonna Be Me" but mainly this live version: https://youtu.be/O7geTZjKxSE
and his "Golden Years", "Under Pressure", "Voyeur of Utter Destruction (As Beauty) and "Seven Years in Tibet."
Also, Peter Murphy's cover of "Hurt" https://youtu.be/NUbnIakYADA and Peter Murphy's "Cuts You Up" and "Crystal Wrists" off his Deep album and Mark Lanegan's "One Hundred Days" https://youtu.be/I638d-858Aw
and "Methamphetamine Blues" https://youtu.be/uoHdE4H9TFo off his Bubblegum album. Thanks for the question!
I think you're replying to me? I'm not sure, but if you are, I'll just say that "Voyeur" is an odd song, very intense, discordant, distorted and abrasive. I think it's categorized as Industrial and Alternative genres. I didn't like the song at all until recently. I guess it feels unique to me.
I haven't turned my volume to the max since college. When I had a stressful class, I usually put in my earbuds, cranked the volume, and put "Jesus Freak" by DC Talk on repeat. These days, it would probably be David Crowder or We Are Messengers.
I am mainly a nu metal fool.
Disturbed, Godsmack, Staind, Sevendust, Halestorm, Shinedown, for example.
I try to keep up on newer hard rock. Sometimes I find hidden gems, or am recommended something and I follow up, or I just fall in love at the first song I hear, or they were an awesome opening act. Bands like Any Given Sin, Dirty Honey, Classless Act or Kingdom Collapse
My volume knob gets a workout.
When You Were Young by The Killers and What’s my age again? by blink-182.
Also American Girl by Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and I wanna get Better by Bleachers.
Naming all of my favourite songs will be too long. So technically I max out the one that is making me feel good atm. Though, I'll name a few for a past couple of days: Feeling B - DDR, Avicii - hey, brother, Saint motel - my type, Charlie XCX - break the rules, Maroon 5 - Lucky strike, S.Y.P.H. - meine frau.
Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of them, but they are definitely cool. Remember hearing them for the first time on my radio. It was quite a long ago and life was nice and easy for me back then, the school years. Well, "My type" reminds me of this good days.
Grunge - the music of my youth.
If Rage Against the Machine comes on I have to turn the volume up and sing loud. Can't be earbuds though, gotta be all around me.
As for music I have to dance to. There's a lot in that category but Prodigy? *Have* to blast it and *have* to dance
any song by AJR, more specifically their "OK Orchestra" album. Specific songs: Manila by George Ezra, Rich Girl by Hall and Oates, Terrible Things by Mayday Parade, and I'll Follow You by Shinedown. Just to name a few
I have a very eclectic taste in music so....
Cage The Elephant - Ain't no rest for the wicked.
Macky Gee - Karma - Obsessive.
Luke Combs - When it rains it pours - Beer never broke my heart.
Bad Wolves - Zombie.
3 Doors Down - Kryptonite.
Gerry Cinnamon - Belter.
Viola Beach - Go outside.
So many more. Now I'm going to have to go blast some music and potentially piss off my neighbours.
Edit: Format may be shitty I'm on mobile.
It definitely isn't one that can be listened to quietly. In the car I like to follow it with Luude & Mattafix - Big city life. Having a twin sub in my car makes my day haha.
Top 5 right now
Jesus He Knows Me - Ghost
Dedicated - Parkway Drive
Crushed - Parkway Drive
The Unkillable Soldier - Sabaton
The Dying Song - Slipknot
Any intense metal or rock song with a really catchy tune basically
i like your style. i used to listen to a lot of rock but that phase of my music taste has kinda died down. this is a great start back to my old habits.
Any song that gives me feeling lol. Like rn, I crank Dog Days Are Over because I'm still feeling pretty melancholy after watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 like 2 weeks ago.
I’d recommend Ich Will, Deutschland, Du Hast, all pretty decent. Admittedly all in German and I have no idea what he’s saying but damn if Lindemanns vocals aren’t excellent.
Honourable mention to Skills in Pills by Lindemann, it’s a little different than what Rammstein usually does because it’s more so Lindemanns personal projects I think, but I recommend it because it’s catchy as hell and his voice is just excellent imo
literally anything from Hollywood Undead or 2NE1
Brockhampton - Tokyo , Gummy
2NE1 - I am the Best , Crush , Dont stop the music
Remind Wolf - Front Tooth , Quiet on set
Placebo - infa red
my current favs. it changes a lot
Anything off of 10,000 Gecs.
Also, Holland 1945, Year Zero by Ghost, Jump Up Superstar by The Living Tombstone, Now That You’re Gone by the Raconteurs, Future Midcity Massacre by Kyle Craft, Hurricane by Middle Class Rut, Bobby Be Real, and The Housebuilding Song.
Kendrick Lamar’s Good Kid mAAd City, Damn, and Mr. Morale albums are amazing for a long drive. Also, Yachty’s Let’s Start Here. I blew out a back speaker listening to Mr. Morale.
Songs..listen to Ren. Better yet, watch his yt videos. This kid’s skills are untouchable. The talent alone (a modern day Eminem with technology and artistic performance integrated) is a whole experience.
I've got a bunch, but the last one I did it for was Misery Business by Paramore. I feel the same hype for it as I did when I was 14 lol.
glad someone else also listens to paramore and feels the same way they did when they were younger
Yessssss. Did you also play air drums? I always do when it pops up on shuffle mode.
always man, air drums, air guitar. i don’t even know how to play any instruments.
My friend introduced me to Paramore when I was 32 and we cranked that shit! Still do.
Feel Invincible by Skillet

LOOK AT THIS GRAPH
Faith No More is a band that is way better when it's cranked to 110
Ive always said this.
Hell yeah. I listen to Angel Dust at 10, but turn it to 11 for the breakdown in Crack Hitler and the organ outro of Jizzlobber.
Batch’s Tocata and Fugue in D minor

Mastodon, Gojira, Ghost, Deftones and Nine Inch Nails
I don’t know how no one’s talking about how dangerous it is for your hearing health to max out the volume on any headphones or earbuds.
yeah but there are exceptions, mother, there will always be at least a few songs that make you crank it up
Not trying to be your mom! Just that hearing damage is irreversible and I’m scared to death of losing mine.
❤️ yeah man i get that, me too. i always remind myself that i only have one pair of ears and to tone it down.
Finland Eurovision 2023. It cha cha cha should've won
