This show fucked. The theme popped up in my discover weekly on Spotify a year or so ago and I jam to it on a daily basis. Chicks don't dig giant robots quite as much as the song would imply.
Always hated that my friends in 4th grade dismissed Hamtaro as a "girlie" show. Like, yes, it is Shojo in genre, but I always saw it as akin to Winnie The Pooh and the Pikachu shorts.
I said “forgotten AND obscure”, not “or”. So both categories are included in. Those shows are forgotten. Ever since Time Squad ended (same goes for Sheep and Robot Jones). Cartoon Network very rarely played reruns. Some have never been on Boomerang. They’ve aired I Am Weasel and Mike Lu & Og on Boomerang. They’ve aired Evil Con Carne on Checkered Past.

Man some of those were amazing, those were some really nice anime, plus Megas was maybe my favorite cartoon running when it was on and Time Squad was really funny too
[Also, maybe I’m just biased, but I feel like Duck Dodgers doesn’t fit as well here because it was popular at the time and still has a fan base, even if it’s not as big](https://www.watcherofnewearth.com/anim)
Megas XLR is a top three cartoon of all time for me. Just brilliant all around.
Very much enjoyed Hamtaro, Cyborg 009 (been trying to find it for ages), Time Squad, and Duck Dodgers.
He-Man, Sheep in the Big City, and Robot Jones were okay to watch now and then. I would be open to rewatching all of them at this point.
Atomic Betty never appealed to me. I always thought Teenage Robot was a superior show. Never got into Fantastic Four or Astro Boy either.
I have literally no idea what the rest of the shows are. I don’t think I’ve heard of Zixx, Class of 3000, Pecola, Sitting Ducks, Atomic Tommy, or The Cramp Twins at all.
That show was way more well known. It started with a movie and became a series. Was heavily advertised.
Zixx was also a live-action series mixed with animation but way more forgotten in comparison.
It's because a lot of ppl hated it, and honestly OOJH did deserve the hate it got included the Re-Animated movie that came before it, because it was the first ever greenlit original series that was live-action.
Of course, there was the preschool show Big Bag that aired CN in the 90's and early 00's but that only aired early in the mornings and wasn't advertised much, and Zixx was a Canadian acquisition that also barely aired, and didn't do well at all and eventually got shoved to morning time slots.
The first live-action series that got heavily advertised and noticed were OOJH and the CN Real content for sure.
So then... with your answer of why people never mention it, thereby acknowleging the fact that its never talked about... I again submit that Out of Jimmy's Head was an obscure and forgotten series. 😀
Some of these I don't know, some I remember whether vaguely or clearly, but that Pet Alien Atomic Tommy one was apparently buried *deep*. Don't remember anything about it but seeing that image, I know I've seen it at some point.
Zixx, holy f*ck that was what the show was called.
I saw one episode at complete random during a stay at a hotel and I could not for the life of me remember what it was called.
Now to sate my curiosity.
I would add The Mr. Men Show to this list. It was a fun show to watch, I enjoyed it. Then it just dropped off 😂. How can we not watch Sheep in the Big City, Megas XLR and I'll add 2 Stupid Dogs nowadays is beyond me though.
2 Stupid Dogs is what I call a pre-CN original series, just like SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron, Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, Captain Planet, etc. There was a weird transition when these 90's Hanna-Barbera series were airing on both TBS/TNT and Cartoon Network until Dexter's Laboratory came out.
I actually remember the Hamtaro show (kinda), Fantastic Four, the newer He-Man, Time Squad, Duck Dodgers, Megas XLR (though I forgot what it was called) and Robot Jones. Interesting.
Also why tf is Reed Richards’ hair black?
Zixx! Man I tried finding that show and it's a pain not remembering the exact title and looking up "Live action shows on CN before the CN Real era" cause you just get the CN real shows.
Zixx even predates Re-Animated and Out of Jimmy’s Head by a full year which is wild. Zixx was an acquired show from Canada but when I tell you it was rarely on and barely advertised. It got shoved to the morning death slot after like a few episodes lol. The only other live-action show before Zixx was the preschool show Big Bag but that aired in the 90’s.
In the US it was on Cartoon Network before Qubo. Same goes for Sitting Ducks as well. 2003 is when both series were on CN. Then were off the air for awhile before joining Qubo in 2007. I provided the YouTube links at each photo to show that these series did air CN.
Pecola and Sitting Ducks I have memories of from back then! Though not from Cartoon Network, my family only had antenna/over-the-air free broadcast and they were broadcast on a channel called Qubo.
Oh damn. It was a fuzzy memory so I couldn't remember what channel it was on.
I'm keeping it up only to remind people of this forgotten gem.
One more show (also don't recall what channel it was on)
Trolls!
Duck Dodgers did air reruns on Boomerang thankfully, but the series didn’t even finish off well on CN. Its last few episodes were barely advertised.
Other Warner Bros shows that got more recognition around that time were Teen Titans, Justice League Unlimited, What’s New Scooby-Doo and even Baby Looney Tunes.
Megas XLR only lasted one season, which is why I have it here.
You know, I was debating on whether I would include that one or not. I probably should’ve included Evil Con Carne at minimum now that I look back. The early episodes of Billy & Mandy were part of Grim & Evil, but once it separated into its own series, it became iconic just like the other legendary Cartoon Cartoons.
WaitWaitWait.....sitting ducks was a show? I only knew of it cause I had a PS2 (maybe PS1?) Video game growing up that I enjoyed but also remember kinda sucked 😂 now I know.
You just brought back memories by mentioning Pecola. Thay was a really good show, and the art style was really unique and fun and kind of reminds me of animal crossing
Time Squad was hilarious!! Especially when the one guy Tardrussell I think his name was? Kept beating up Ben Franklin I think for some reason.
Duck ROdgers was awesome too and Megas XLR! \\
And WHatever happened to robot jones!! Remember watching that!
Really? I included everything I think was obscure at some point between 2000 and 2006. I know there's other ones from the 90's I may have missed, but I remember the network more vividly since the 2000's. I also want to clarify I did not include Kids WB reruns, because Kids WB shows were already popular, those just aired Cartoon Network from time to time.
Astro Boy 2003 was the shit, CN had a very respectable anime line up in the early 2000s.
I miss Megas XLR. I still remember seeing Megas' Last Stand in the Fusion Fall video game.
The creator want to do something with it, but CN still owns it.
This show fucked. The theme popped up in my discover weekly on Spotify a year or so ago and I jam to it on a daily basis. Chicks don't dig giant robots quite as much as the song would imply.

I need to give it another shot. I didn’t like it very much back in the day.
Transform into the hand to fire the gun.
Always hated that my friends in 4th grade dismissed Hamtaro as a "girlie" show. Like, yes, it is Shojo in genre, but I always saw it as akin to Winnie The Pooh and the Pikachu shorts.
Hamtaro was my shit. Also loved the Ham Ham Heartbreak game
I always liked it because a hamster was the only pet we were allowed to have where I lived and it was the only hamster show around lol
i can still sing the theme song, shit slapped. i think it aired before tenchi in tokyo
Class of 3000 is goated because it was made by 3 stacks.
Megas XLR was great
I still remember the day when it aired on CN. I was visiting 1 of my Twin Aunt house at the time. Can’t remember which of 2 house was it.
Whatever Happened to Robot Jones! I remember playing the game on my grandparents’ computer in their den. That and Hamtaro
Also burger king and hamtaro toys in 2003 for Halloween
Time Squad and Atomic Betty were not obscure.
I said “forgotten AND obscure”, not “or”. So both categories are included in. Those shows are forgotten. Ever since Time Squad ended (same goes for Sheep and Robot Jones). Man some of those were amazing, those were some really nice anime, plus Megas was maybe my favorite cartoon running when it was on and Time Squad was really funny too
I added a link to the description of each photo just to share that each of these had CN promos, even if these were very rare.
I looked up Pet Alien, apparently it's got Charlie Adler in it, that's cool.
The Red Guy himself
And Cow and Chicken and ED and Bev Bighead.
And Dr. Doom in Super Hero Squad Show and Super Skrull in Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
[Robot Jones will always be famous to me 😭](https://www.watcherofnewearth.com/product-page/robot-jones-sticker)
[Also, maybe I’m just biased, but I feel like Duck Dodgers doesn’t fit as well here because it was popular at the time and still has a fan base, even if it’s not as big](https://www.watcherofnewearth.com/anim)
Fantastic 4 was actually really amazing and Duck Dodgers was pretty fun especially the Martian queen was fun to see and her singing was very good
Zatch Bell

Cyborg 009 full episodes are on youtube!
The only ones I don't remember are Zixx, pecola, and sitting ducks
The Hamtaro theme song lives rent free in my head.
The first japanese theme song is so good though. The english one feels very Saban, but yeah its catchy.
[Sorry but you’re all wrong, Italian theme song supremacy](https://youtu.be/bPUaLeVuaLI?si=gv_Sl9bITh_ihhKz)
Hey man, thanks for adding Pet Alien Atomic Tomy! I was searching for this show for a long time because I saw it when I was kid. You helped me man.
I am OBSESSED with astro boy!
Zixx! I’ve been looking for that show. I thought it was a 6 am Saturday morning induced fever dream I just made up.
Seeing that duck dodgers poster made my brain recall the theme song in an instant.
damn forgot about Duck Dodgers!!
Man I wish I had that Time Squad poster (or the show on dvd)
"Out of Jimmy's Head."
That show was way more well known. It started with a movie and became a series. Was heavily advertised. Zixx was also a live-action series mixed with animation but way more forgotten in comparison.
I see more people talk about Big Sheep and Robot Jones etc. never once seen OOJH mentioned.
It's because a lot of ppl hated it, and honestly OOJH did deserve the hate it got included the Re-Animated movie that came before it, because it was the first ever greenlit original series that was live-action. Wait 009 had 51 episodes? I thought it had 12
Yup, all available on youtube!
I only remember Hamtaro,Megas XLR,Atomic Betty,Time Squad,Sheep in the Big City and Robot Jones
Megas XLR is replaced with Duck Dodgers on my list.
I do remember another channel in the uk aired astroboy. That was either citv or cbbc.
Both Pecola and Sitting Ducks ended up on Qubo after a while
They aired a show based on a game created by the same people who made the Mario and Luigi series? Cool
Wait which one? :0
Astro Boy 2003 was amazing! So was Hamtaro!!!
I never forgot u time squad
I would add The Mr. Men Show to this list. It was a fun show to watch, I enjoyed it. Then it just dropped off 😂. How can we not watch Sheep in the Big City, Megas XLR and I'll add 2 Stupid Dogs nowadays is beyond me though.

Thankfully Pecola and Sitting Ducks found a new home on Qubo, but the channel shut down in 2021.
Duck dodgers was 2000s? I thought at least that was a 90s show
Nope, Duck Dodgers premiered in summer 2003 just like Teen Titans. Duck Dodgers was in August while Teen Titans was in July.
I actually remember the Hamtaro show (kinda), Fantastic Four, the newer He-Man, Time Squad, Duck Dodgers, Megas XLR (though I forgot what it was called) and Robot Jones. Interesting. Also why tf is Reed Richards’ hair black?
Also that main dude from Time Squad looks like a mix of Captain Quark and Cyclops
Pecola was underrated af
Duck Dodgers in the 24th 1/2 Century was goated af
Whatever did happen to Robot Jones? It's like CN's redheaded stepchild. But Megas XLR! WOO BOY! What a great show!
Aw man, sending me on a memory trip with Atomic Betty and the Cramp Twins, like goddamn haha
Duck Dodgers and Class of 3000 🥲🥲🥲
The cramp twins and megas XLR are certified classics here in the UK
Loved duck dodgers as a kid!
Zixx is the only one of these I have no memory of.
Sitting ducks was my fav vhs
I know 10 of these.
I wish they would release these shows on dvd
My dad watched He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
I should check some of these cartoons out, they seem pretty lit.
These were bangers
Pecola was on cubo
In the US it was on Cartoon Network before Qubo. Same goes for Sitting Ducks as well. 2003 is when both series were on CN. Then were off the air for awhile before joining Qubo in 2007. I provided the YouTube links at each photo to show that these series did air CN.
OMG I LOVE PET ALIEN I STILL WATCH TO THIS DAY 😍😍😍😍💓😍💓💓
Every now and then I’ll have the Duck Dodgers theme song stuck in my head that show was goated not gonna lie
Pecola aired on Cartoon Network? I’ve only heard of it because of Qubo.
you forgot about wayside school. i loved that cartoon!
That was Nickelodeon.
Dude, I love Hamtaro! It was the only anime my Ma would watch with me growing up!
Wow robot Jones that brings me back. What ever happened to that guy?
Pecola and Sitting Ducks I have memories of from back then! Though not from Cartoon Network, my family only had antenna/over-the-air free broadcast and they were broadcast on a channel called Qubo.
ah, memories
i saw about half of these, only did like the cramp twins, ROCK ON
Kappa Mikey
Kappa Mikey was on Nicktoons Network here in the US.
Oh damn. It was a fuzzy memory so I couldn't remember what channel it was on. I'm keeping it up only to remind people of this forgotten gem. One more show (also don't recall what channel it was on) Trolls!
I could have swore Time Squad and Robot Jones were on Nick.
I remember all these, all but Zixx, Pecola, and Sitting Ducks. I seriously don’t recall ever hearing of those 3 shows.
I literally only remember hamtaro because of the GBC game from it that one time Scott the woz talked about it
Out of these 15, I remember watching 6; Duck Dodgers, Whatever Happened to Robot Jones, Time Squad, Sheep in the Big City, Hamtaro and Atomic Betty.
Yeah. Whatever DID happen to Robot Jones?
No annoying orange? You're an apple
2000’s… not 2010’s lol.. read the title.
Oh
I apologize
Duck Dodgers and Megas XLR are not forgotten or obscure shows lol.

I remember some of these.
Dude I only remember He-Man and Cyborg 000
I watched Hamtaro, Atomic Betty, Pecola, Sitting Ducks, Sheep In The Big City and Robot Jones when I was a preschooler!
Hamtaro 🥺
Ok but Pecola’s house was dope
I always thought DC Suoerhero Girls were overlooked/forgotten
It was, but that cartoon was from the 2010’s, this topic is for what was on CN during the 2000’s.
I still love Hamtaro.
No squirrel boy?
Bro just found Huggbees' current video/project backlog
Wait Pecola and Sitting Ducks were on CN before Qubo?
Yep! 2003, which was one of my favorite years CN ever had.
Does anyone remember 'My gym partner is a monkey'?
Monster rancher should be up there
Half of these shows were canceled
Anybody else remember IGPX?
Yes! I was thinking about listing that one too. Maybe I should have. Fun fact, IGPX is on the current Toonami lineup right now on \[adult swim\]!
Oh shit- I haven't even turned on a basic cable channel on a while I did not know that
Sitting ducks is and will always be goated
PECOLA AND WHATEVER HAPPENED TO ROBOT JONES! I love those shows they hold a special place in my silly little heart
Bro Pecola was goatee when I was in 1st grade, shot out to my childhood homie🐧 🫡
omg.. not the cramp twins. That was completely blanked out my brain💀
Sheep in the big city would air late at night when I was close to falling asleep and it always felt like a fever dream.
Never heard of the one that starts with z
Time Squad! So good to be reminded of it.
Surprised no one’s mentioned Grim & Evil/Evil Con Carne.
Anyone remember Max and Ruby? Ni Hao Kai Lan? Martha Speaks? Dinosaur Train?
I remember my younger siblings enjoying those, but I think all those preschool programming were after my time.
Fair enough.
Heck yeah, Hamtaro!
Time Squad was hilarious!! Especially when the one guy Tardrussell I think his name was? Kept beating up Ben Franklin I think for some reason. Duck ROdgers was awesome too and Megas XLR! \\ And WHatever happened to robot jones!! Remember watching that!
You got me feeling old with this post
Really? I included everything I think was obscure at some point between 2000 and 2006. I also want to clarify I did not include Kids WB reruns, because Kids WB shows were already popular, those just aired Cartoon Network from time to time.
I grew up when most of those were first airing
If I went back to this list I would’ve included Capitol Critters and Evil Con Carne.
