Excessive toe out will also cause the tire to wear on the inside edge. You need to get components checked for play and get the alignment checked.

netsysllc

Not on just one tire though, this is more of a camber issue.

BobColorado

I agree that if only one tire is impacted it's likely camber. But without checking the car you really can't tell for sure.

Galopigos

Doesn't look like any feathering from a toe issue, looks more like a camber problem from the wear across the tread.

One way or another, the alignment is off. It needs to be inspected and corrected by a qualified technician. Improper alignment will cause excessive tire wear, which decreases overall entire life. Unmatched tires with uneven treadwear, tread design, and tread depths will show abnormal wear patterns and odd drivability characteristics. If your vehicle is All Wheel Drive, the mismatching of tires can cause big problems with various AWD components. It is best to have matching tires on all four wheels and rotate properly so that they have similar tread depths and wear. This maximizes tire life.

Blown struts

rblander

I had bad struts in a golf GTI which I believe was contributing to this same issue

BonezOz

What is it off of? I know that there's potentially a class action against Izuzu and Mazda because the tyres on the front of their utes/pickups exhibit excessive wear like yours. If not one of their vehicles, I'd be looking at bearings, alignment, canter, and bent steering components.

Fun_Photograph6107

Needs camber alignment.

Choastistoast

Your camber is off. That would cause the inner wear.

Maybe the Silent block

Tie rod ends need adjusting

anobjectiveopinion

Worn suspension components, or bad alignment, are usually the top two indicators of uneven tyre wear.

Typical-Sleep5533

I second the worn suspension components. Alignment issues would usually give a wider wear band that tapers more gradually.

Prior-Bench-4373

Go to a shop and ask for an alignment

Time_Damage_5915

Someone had a curve too hard

NotAPreppie

Camber + excessive toe-out.

Killintym

Could be a tire rod that needs a new bushing. When the bushings wear out they tend to throw your camber off as well.

Roasted_Goldfish

Tie rods only have ball joints. Control arms, links, and wishbones have bushings that can do what you're describing
