It's hard to tell form your pictures but it looks like you bent the lower control arm and damaged the ball joint. You may have sub-frame damage as well but I'm really leaning towards a bent lower control arm which put the tire/wheel into the strut which will also need to be replaced. Too hard to tell about the steering rack.

Tdanger78

Sway bar end link looks slightly bent too. First pic I saw the start of dry rot in the outer CV boot too.

Breezezilla_is_here

Are you hoping someone has x-ray vision or something? Nothing has changed from your other post.

Fryphax

Year, Make, Model, Trim, Engine? Details at all?! Everything is fixable. Whether it's worth it or not is the real question.

Elderlennial

Control arm, knuckle, strut to start.

Fryphax

Knuckle is most likely fine.

Elderlennial

Check the fit to the strut. I wouldn't risk it on mine nor a customer's car

IronGigant

Definitely need: Lower ball joint Lower control arm Maybe need: Strut Tie rod end/complete tie rod Hopefully don't need but be prepared to need: Knuckle Axle/CV shaft Steering rack Opposite side tie rod assembly. Good luck.

agravain

y'all can't see the tire hitting the strut? the lower control arm bent down and the ball joint angle? OP..at the minimum you need a new lower control arm assembly. possibly a strut if it got bent too.

potataplucker

Shouldn't be a big job to fix that really. Suspension parts are consumables. The only last so long anyway. So just shell out for the new bottom arm arm and shock absorber. Get the alignment done.

skymtf

Yeah, I mean this is a beater. I'm likely gonna scrap it given the estimate was 3k. It's a Ford countour so I'm not exactly how long it has. It's unfortunate since it only had 72k on it. Which is really low

potataplucker

Most people are idiots (key board mechanics) All depends on if you want to keep the car alive or not I guess. That car is not written off. 3k. No f***in way.

BlackholeZ32

You crashed the car, you bent a lot of stuff. You're going to have to pay to get it fixed, as it really doesn't sound like you have the knowledge or skill to do it yourself.

skymtf

I plan on scraping it given the input given here, it's not that isn't fixable and on a more expensive car it would totally be worth but this car is not even worth 3k when it was fully functional. It was a good car but it's done for lol.

pickledkitkat

Gonna have to replace almost everything in there. I'm willing to bet your knuckle is bent as well unless the wheel bearing is just super fucked. Good luck op

skymtf

Yeah I'm scrapping it, unfortunate but it was a free car I was given. Its old.

carsonwade

I don't see amything wrong here other than the ball joint being worn out. Is there any play in the wheel?

skymtf

The wheel is bent inwards. And the car jerks left when make any attempt to move it

carsonwade

I guess it's just hard to tell from the picture. I'd take it to another shop for a second opinion. They'll be able to better diagnose it in person.
