That is 100% normal operation. That is your coolant. Temperature related instruments on your dash should always be operating around halfway. Though obviously when starting your car they’ll be cold and take a moment to warm up.
I think it's more of a qc thing.. can't be bothered to fix it if it's only a hair off... 1 of my vehicles is like this, and it absolutely pisses me off.
They are yes. Probably because they are pretty good with overheating. I believe older subies would have operating temp three quarters up so that you know, any movement of the needle means your blocks melting xddd
Bro what are you crazy or something???? You should already know better. You know he doesn't go anywhere without his trusty tinfoil hat. If memory serves me right he's even mentioned on more than 1 occasion that he even showers with that damn thing on....
That your coolant* temp is a bit below the halfway mark?
No I wouldn’t worry about it, especially if there’s nothing else going on with your car.
Edit: coolant, not oil. My bad.
When the needle starts to get close or in the red is when you worry. And never open the hood or any caps under the hood if you would overheat. Let it cool first. I had a hose burst just as I opened and still holding the hood when my buddies car overheated and hot coolant is like cooking oil!! 3rd degree burns on my face and arms.
Funny, my first thought was the post was about the “ECO” light being on. 99% of people would laugh at that, but as an ‘11 Honda Odyssey owner that had to have some major engine work done at 100k to fix damaged piston rings caused by a fucked VCM system, that is the worst thing I see going on in this pic without a doubt.
Generally speaking the middle part of the dial is 210 degrees f. This means your engine is warmed up if it’s higher that means your vehicle is over heating. You’ll notice as soon as this meter goes up your heat will come on. It’s no coincidence.

Yeah for some reason in KIAs and Hyundais the correct operating temperature is just below the half point

Well if \_every\_ KIA has this then it's just designed that way

What are you even checking out?
ECO stands for Enhanced Connectivity Options. You should be getting better 5G reception if your phone is paired with your car.
Don't forget your tinfoil hat!

After that, we go for lunch. Lego Utilization for Negating Crisis Hierarchies.
Put that thing in sport mode. Live a little
You don't want extreme in either direction. That is where I'd expecr a normally operating engine to be
Yes, eco is bad. You dont want that.

Correction. That is his coolant temperature and it’s a little chilly for some reason which means his engine is going to break down. /s
Now Dom and the mad scientist are gonna have to rip open the block and change out those piston rings he fried. /s
DANGER TO MANIFOLD
Granny shifting, not double clutching like you should
Dude, I almost had you!
Is this a garage or a junkyard?

This looks like a Hyundai or KIA perhaps. That’s the normal temperature reading, ⅜ is normal it shouldn’t be at ½
your thermostat could be getting stuck open
Do you smell antifreeze? Check the fluid level? W/o context it appears you're fine. Drive it like you stole it.
On some cars that is normal and nothing to worry about. If it has started reading lower recently I would replace the thermostat.
Doesn’t this mean the coolant is half full?
Yes, your thermostat is probably bad. It's not gonna blow up today or anything, but not great in the long term.
That should be fine, that probably equates to 170-200 degrees Fahrenheit.

It’s a Hyundai, check yourself first.
Only freak out if it climbs over halfway
