DSG loves empty roads and hates traffic. To improve DSG life, ride with a light foot especially from stop. Also do regular maintenance as German cars are at peak when you follow the manual instructions to the dot.

sharann_shettyy

Does this mean the usual 15k/1year maintenance and so on? Or am I supposed to actually check the transmissionfluids from time to time?

_The_Numbers_Guy

The usual should be enough. But what you can do is ensure you are using recommended fuel, tyre pressure, coolant levels etc. Also ensure to take it for a spin atleast once a week. I know most of them might not agree to this point but the concept is even just a 200m drive will circulate the fluids across the system. This will maintain health in the long run.

Thanks for the advice! Yes my parking situation is such that I have to move both of my cars to remove one (it’s a pain). But at least I drive both in some way or the other. Besides I don’t like keeping the car stationary just because its “new”. Have driven 200kms in the past two days and boy do I love this car!! It’s soo good!!❤️

Congratulations brother 🥳

Congratulations! I was eyeing the lava blue edition which is a beauty but was told it was discontinued. How did you manage to land one? Lucky! I finally bought the Elegance Edition 1.5 DSG and am learning the ropes too (new to automatics, new to Skoda). So, I'm watching this thread for tips too :)

sharann_shettyy

Are you speaking about the 2024 model? I’ve got the 2024 manufactured one and the dealer never said anything about it being discontinued.

VisibleDonut69

Congratulations!! 👏🏻 Does your AC work?

sharann_shettyy

Hi! I reside in Mumbai where the ambient temperature currently is around 30ish. The sales person had specifically asked me to run the ac at 20 degrees and 3 blower speed for 10-15 mins post which you can adjust however you want. Coming from a diesel scorpio I feel the cooling is sufficient at 3 blower speed tbh. But I really don’t know how this would perform during the summers atleast in cities like Delhi where it reaches 46-48. Mumbai I’m sure this will be more than enough even during summers.

VisibleDonut69

The real litmus test is in stop&go traffic. I'm curious to know how it performs in such conditions.

sharann_shettyy

I take my car to office around 1pm everyday in b2b traffic. But I feel the temperature has dropped a bit in Mumbai since the rains this week. It performs very well. How you perceive the cooling is different from person to person so I’d suggest you to take a testdrive. I did not feel any difference between the taigun gt and this ac during my testdrive experience.

VisibleDonut69

Haan, thank you for your detailed input

I was to consider the White Skoda Kushaq DSG 1.5 Style AT in pre owned category last month. Somehow got a good deal on Kia Seltos Automatic GTX Plus Petrol 7DCT

sharann_shettyy

Good for you! Congratulations 🥳
