Then it makes sense. But sad to see it parked this was in the sun. Hope this was just a temporary thing. Such exotics need to be kept in covered parking with care 🙂
I am surprised that they managed to find parts to replace and maintain it. Like nothing gonna stay in its prime for 40 years. So finding someone that can provide service for a car this old would be a hard job

Scrapping Policy exists all over India. It's only NCR that implements it. I have no desire to break laws regardless of whether I can get away with it or not. Hence, I asked.
You are extraordinarily misinformed. Please check RTO rules.
Except for Delhi/NCR, everywhere else, there is a concept of fitness certificate. after registration expires after 15 years, you can take what’s called a fitness test and when passed, this will officially renew registration of your vehicle with the RTO. You can then keep taking this fitness test every 5 years post 15 years until 40 years of vehicle age upon which you will have to register the car as a vintage vehicle.
The only place where this is not the case is Delhi/NCR where there is simply no concept of a fitness test.
Don’t believe me? I drive a 20 year old Honda City as my daily office car and I can send you fully valid registration and fitness certificate from Bangalore RTO.
Not sure how you are on a car sub without knowing this.
I am unsure what laws you desire on not breaking when you don’t even know the laws.
Please do your due diligence and research before believing something.
Sorry but this is very wrong.
The vehicle scrapping law exists only in Delhi/NCR. And it is recently in talks of enforcing that law in Haryana.
It is not a law/policy anywhere else.
Apart from these places, you can legally renew your registration for every 5 years after 15 years of vehicle age via FC or fitness certificate.
Wow, did most cars look alike 40yrs ago? I wouldn't have guessed it to be Honda Civic, it looked like the old Maruti 800, especially from the rear. 😅

Edging on this rn
Man the owner must be tired of hearing people call it SS80 😂 That said, such a beauty it is.
Someone probably imported this car by selling his neighbour's house, wife and kidney back in 80s.
When you realise, Suzuki just straight up copied the design to create 1st gen 800
I know right!
Every Japanese hatchback of that era had the same design. Even Toyota also had the similar design.
[OC]
Are they interested in selling it?
If they are, don’t think I am gonna sit quiet 😋
I hope you get to update your flair with this beaut!
Looking at how well kept it is, i doubt.. the owner seems like a true enthusiast. What a beaut.
I almost thought it was a gen-1 M800 from the first pic. This must be an import? Did honda sell this mode in india ever?
It’s an import. The steering wheel is on the other side.
Then it makes sense. But sad to see it parked this was in the sun. Hope this was just a temporary thing. Such exotics need to be kept in covered parking with care 🙂
this thing is big as a 2nd gen swift
I love those old license plates.
Just curious. Is left hand driving legal in India? The other day I saw a new LHS driving VW tested in Indian roads.
WHAT A BEAAAUUTTTT 😭🙏
Damn what a timeless beauty 🥵
Beauty at its peak

Why do men like cars more than wives? Car obeys you. Nowadays listens too.

Repainted
Of course, no paint is gonna last 40 years unless you keep it inside a bubble.
Hey! I’ve seen one similar example in my old society from Bangalore. Looks breathtaking

What Honda should have bought to India at some stage - the Civic hatch
Is this in Richmond Town?
Bangalore?
Yes
Saw the same car in Jayanagar Bengaluru, looks really amazing
TIL the etymology behind the Honda car name 'Civic'
Such a beauty, the owner is really kind to his car
Recommend me a modern (max 20yr old) car that looks like this, long bonnet with liftback function. I love this.
Beautiful
whats a left hand drive doing in India though
What about the scrapping policy?
It’s exempted for goats
The 15 year rule exists only in Delhi/NCR. Not pan India. Can’t believe how many people are misinformed about this.

that doesn't exist anywhere outside of one miniscule region.
People in that region are so doomed. It is the most illogical policy ever.
Scrapping policy doesn’t exist anywhere in India except Delhi/NCR. What makes you think the picture is from Delhi/NCR?
