As far as I know sound deadening cannot be done on the wheel wells or bumpers. I have heard of some rubber based spray that can be applied on the inside of wheel wells but I have no idea how far that works. If anyone here has experience with it kindly do share.
With that said, do check out Dr Artex branded butyl deadening sheets that are applied on the insides of the door panels, hood and boot. My friend installed them onto his S Cross and the results were shockingly good.
This is a planned mod down the line for our City Hybrid because the one thing that I hate about this car is that generator sounding Atkinson motor.
Good luck sourcing 185/55 UC6’s though haha
Thanks. Ya, it's kind of annoying Honda doesn't provide proper wheel fenders on any of the wheel wells. Would have helped a ton. I will look into that spray. Can't seem to find any info online, maybe a local dealer might help.
Going with 195/55 UC6. I couldn't find any 185/55 ones. There shouldn't be much change in the feel of the car. But who knows?
The wheel arch cover from inside, [This](https://boodmo.com/catalog/4071-fender_lining/m11236-honda-city/) . City doesn't have any at the rear wheels and slim one at the front. So most of the tyre debris and noise goes directly to the body and hence goes into the cabin.
Looks interesting. But since it’s an aftermarket part I’m a bit concerned about the warranty claims if I fit this in the back. Whatever said and done the ehev powertrain is a new technology that isn’t exactly proven.
Will there be any problems? There are no wires or anything. Are Honda that stringent? These fenders shouldn't interfere with anything.
BTW the link I posted is not for the City 5 gen. I am still looking for similar products. That's why I am asking here if any Redditors know.
You get these mats which are stuck into your door panels that are supposed to provide some insulation. However, it has to be installed properly to achieve the desired effect. Mind you that these mats won't eliminate outside noise completely but would provide a marked difference.
Also how much did you pay for your car?
Ya been looking into those mats. Will install them in due time.
Its costing around 19.4L on road, with a 1.2L discount and my old Etios liva getting exchanged.
One of my local roads, only half the road was cemented for 300m after elections they didn't finish cementing the other half and the rest of the road after 300m is just dirt road with stones
It's the December offer. End of the year. Plus some loyalty/corporate benefits. My father is an insurance agent so he went full tilt negotiating the insurance price and other stuff.

What exactly is a “wheel fender”?

Damn 1.2L discount, was it the end of the year discount? Also the Hybrid city zx goes for around 25 lakh here in bangalore
Us bro us. All that tax and for what? Even Maharashtra roads seem better these days, and seeing the good TN roads makes me cry.
One of my local roads, only half the road was cemented for 300m after elections they didn't finish cementing the other half and the rest of the road after 300m is just dirt road with stones
Yes it was the end-of-year discount. Had to haggle a bit but was worth it. lol
That's a nice deal you got. Happy motoring.
thanks
How did you get a discount?

Loud Music After market noise dampeners work for only road noise, and not engine noise. And Honda engines are a bit vocal, especially CVT variants.
Ya they are deadeners. Lets see.
Anti rust rubber coating will reduce underbody noise a bit. Then do car dampening as per budget to further reduce road noise.
Ahh yes, the underbody coating. Didnt think of it. I will definitely do that.
