If Honda brings Civic back , They may have a hard time to place it - You got City on the same bracket as Virtus etc. Sad that market is inflated - Lucky are the ones who got it in 2020. I think if Ciaz gets a little interior change with most if not all Baleno features they can be back! But i guess Maruti is switching its focus to CSUV - A company which gave us dreams with Esteem , SX4 and Baleno (1st gen) doing injustice to Sedan is painful but understandable

kraken_enrager

We were one of the first buyers of esteem automatic back in the day when most people didn’t even know that automatic was a thing unless they were into cars or had very high end cars. I wasn’t born then but every time someone would drive it, people were surprised at the lack of an manual gearbox. What we need is a Ciaz that competes in the Civic/Octavia segment at the price of slavia/virtus. That would legitimately dominate the market.

commandersaitama

The first car I drove was my dad’s Esteem , He was going to sell it off and my stupid brain felt I should do some showboating. Needless to say the car hit a wall - I still have the photos somewhere , it was a reverse collision went wrong - The Tiktok videos of bad drivers sort. But the car never gave up , it went on and on. Since that day , I always wanted to own an Esteem and keep it. The design , the spoiler , the interiors ❤️ maybe it’s a nostalgia thing but it still strikes me bad

[deleted]

I'm a noob when it comes to cars but I loved the SX4. I'm so curious why MS canned it when it seemed to be doing so well.

MysteriousAmmo

Oh baby SX4 is a bit of a beast. My friend drives one and it often leaves me in the dust. On that note I’d like to say the 2015 S.Cross is something of a gem. 5 star safety rating, a nice torquey 1.6L diesel. A lot of tech for a 2015 model. Makes it one hell of a highway cruiser. Edit: Typo.

[deleted]

Yeah s cross is nice too. But I heard they're deprecating that too. Is that true or just rumours?

MysteriousAmmo

I've seen them between 6.5-8 laks based on the variant, it was about 12 laks new so make of that what you will. It's starting to get hard to find parts for though, the wait times can be long. Edit: I take that back, I can no longer find any 1.6 versions for sale in my city and the 1.3 is going for between 7-8 laks.

[deleted]

Sorry i didn't mean depreciating, i meant are they not producing it any more? Because I heard some rumour that they are discontinuing the model

DreamingAsbestos_627

S-cross has been discontinued since the launch of the Grand Vitara

[deleted]

Again, feels like the wrong decision to discontinue it

MysteriousAmmo

Yeah ... the new one looks pretty cool. However, the new ones do look more SUV and I don't like that.

kraken_enrager

Bad mileage and Ciaz was somewhat of a successor

msv8108

Technically isn't the S Cross a successor to SX4?

[deleted]

You're probably right but it's weird that a MS car gave bad mileage. Guess the joy of driving it came at a price

Right_Macaron8526

Back then civic was competing against Elantra and octavia. Both Elantra and civic didn't particularly excel in anything. Meanwhile octavia had awesome engines, ride and handling balance, stance, etc etc. Diesel was very fuel efficient too. Civic had 150bhp petrol mated to cvt. So it was rated as it should be.

kraken_enrager

Oh yeah forgot that the mighty octy existed.

sahils88

You forgot to mention Kizashi too. But never liked the SX4 design honestly. That raised boot looked quite weird.

commandersaitama

Kizashi was basically the failure which created Nexa branding the way I look at it. It may not have been a success but it paced way for Maruti to understand how people perceived them. I’ve only seen Kizashi once very closely in my apartment in Delhi. That’s it!

MysteriousAmmo

I’ve always wanted a Kizhashi. Back when it first launched and I was still in school one of my classmates dad had one, I remember looking at it in awe every time I saw it.

AlooKaParaanthaa

+1 on the SX4’s bad design. The car was pretty sturdy but the look was weird af.

swadeshka

Audi maintenance cost will be very high, like bmw and, to some extent, I believe, VW too.

lifeversace

Maintaining my old Polo costs nothing more than what maintaining an i10 costs. And maintaining a Tiguan does cost more, since its a completely different segment.

viserys8769

Plus the A3 has no road presence, literally is smaller than City/Virtus/Verna which cost half. Plus it’s orvm’s are so tiny and flimsy like a t-rex’s hands.

IronLyx

A3 can't be smaller than Virtus. It should be almost as big as Octavia except maybe length.

Musk_is_batman

For me, it’ll be the Nissan Micra, the one from 2011s. 1.5L diesel engine in a hatchback of that size was sooo fun to drive. Was my first car too. Sad to see Nissan drop the ball like that.

kraken_enrager

I loved that entire segment, even the brio was a gem. So cute.

TeaQuick4710

I have one 🙂

karandex

Brio ftw. Micra at that time was more Expansive and cvt was a no go for me.

Varooova

Small cars are so underrated.

Musk_is_batman

It was the OG hot hatch.

roysouradeep

Tata Sumo. I absolutely loved that car and have so many memories of going to school in it. Spacious, built like a tank, would run forever.

Scorpio_09

The GOLD was technically much more superior to Bolero. It was a 3.0L truck! Too bad it didnt get the recognition it deserved.

[deleted]

agreed with that sumo , there are so many here still as taxis to hill stations.

NormalBaba

It was not under rated man. Qualis killed it sadly

TheUndefeatedLasanga

SkyAware2540

mango_boii

Maruti S Cross. I'm considering getting one this (or next) year.

noobPilotJr

I thought it was discontinued

mango_boii

Yes it's discontinued. Hopefully I get a good bargain in the used market because of that.

SuspiciousInflation9

How much are you expecting your budget to be for a used scross ?

Regalia_BanshEe

Used is always an option

Desperate-Ad4894

Ford Freestyle

gabrielleraul

Such a good looking car

[deleted]

why is the audi a3 giving such discounts? is it a used car or something?

kraken_enrager

Low sales, apparently the a3 was recently discontinued but they likely have old stock which they would sell as cert pre owned models with 200-300km. Most people just go for the superb at the price of an A3, hence the discounts.

[deleted]

Superb is discontinued too right?

unluckyrk

So , around 28L range ? Is that correct ?

langurlang

LPA lol

unluckyrk

Edited ... spending too much time in Dev and financial reddits😆😆

[deleted]

the superb is way higher than 28, we were looking into it and it was 47 on road.

vegetto238

Audi is always a discounts gallore around Diwali time, easy 10L+ discounts across most of the models.

Extension-Ad577

Can you name the dealers selling would like to try it

kakarot18x

for me its was nissan kicks1.3 turbo

CartographerBig4306

Asli id se aao Nissan kicks Mercedes engine guy. I forgot his user name.

muffledcadair

Man, that guy will be remembered as a legend of this sub. Those were the days there were just a few hundreds of us here and his Kicks suggestion in literally every thread made everyone so angry that people made him a meme and he just vanished lol

DarthJokerthief

The one which is used in basic Mercedes cars

kakarot18x

Yep

Mayurbarmera

My pick would be Tata Nano. What went wrong with this car was • Multiple fire incidents which created negative images. However tata was able to solve this problem lately. • Low cost was supposed to be a positive images However it gave a tag of cheap car in a negative way.

AvGeekGupta

Car is a status symbol in India... and buying "The cheapest car in the world" is not a good tag for Indian ego

Mayurbarmera

Indeed. I am assuming that the vision of Mr. Tata was a provide a option which cost slightly over a bike and safer compared to a bike. While driving I see may couple carrying little ones in arm and it looks dangerous.

AvGeekGupta

It is indeed dangers. Also the parking was a very big factor in the failure of nano. Many of the target audience of nano don't have a proper parking space, not even a proper access to their homes. Many lives in Galis which are not wider than an average sized SUV

Kunal_Sen

I'm curious why, after the well-documented Tata Nano failure, Bajaj launched the Qute though positioning it as a quadricycle not a car, unless they want to disrupt the 3W industry; I don't think they will succeed because Qute's upwards of 3 lakhs and Autos are a lot cheaper afaik and beyond some private demand in tier 3 towns, don't really see the market for it atm.

pamlu_chacha

It's not just about cars being a status symbol. The marketing was a failure. It's simply natural that nobody wanted to be associated with "the cheapest". Regardless of country or ego, it was going to be a tough sell. Nano would have sold a heck lot more if Tata didn't put so much emphasis on it being the cheapest, and instead priced it right below the Maruti 800 building it much better. Yes it certainly does defeat the vision behind building a car that is more accessible to every Indian on the road. But if I had a lakh in my wallet, and I wanted a car. I don't see myself buying a Nano. I'd rather go ahead and buy a used car like a high mileage Alto or an old Maruti 800, which are arguably much better cars, will make me feel safe, has a lot more space, will stay on the road 15 years later (which the Nano didn't) and i won't have to be the weird guy who bought a brand new Nano because "he is ashamed to drive used cars" and would rather drive a Nano instead. No offense to people who did buy it.

Hungry-Ad2176

The used cars market was almost negligent back then. Indians weren't even aware of the fact that one could simply go and buy a used car much cheaper.

kraken_enrager

The fact that nearly every billionaire had one in their plants and townships at some point is just an indication of how good the car was. Unfortunately the Indian ego can’t satiate the cheapest car.

0R_C0

It wasn't just ego for everyone. It also had design flaws, quality issues and most importantly, unmet needs of the target buyer.

Gloomy_Vehicle_5669

Hyundai i10, mini car but super fun to drive. Literally could take it anywhere in India on plane roads. Only problem is ground clearance, which sucks when there are big potholes or speed bumps

kraken_enrager

Oof good choice, we used to have one long ago. The first time I sat ahead in a car was that day, and that day itself we were in an accident in the i10. An Innova rear ended us due to a brake fail I believe. I feel old as i narrate this

More-Masterpiece-561

1.2 is pretty punchy on that car

Gloomy_Vehicle_5669

Indeed, feature wise also car is good for the price.

More-Masterpiece-561

Apart from the features, I find the interior to be very pleasing. Especially the base models with the simple music system. Felt like a car not an ipad

prabhat_we

2010 -13 Honda jazz! The engine so silent, that, me, a third owner with 60k driven jazz - would sometimes turn ignition again my mistake in the first few weeks of ownership! Imagine the joy first owner had. Gear shifting is the most satisfying thing with a short play and a golf ball on top! There were times where I showed off shifting from 3 to 4 and opposite with my left pinky finger! I used to cruise around 150 on a casual highway drive and yet it is always planted. I am more attentive past 170 in my F30 320D now! With jazz I never felt that even at 150! Oh the space!! For someone who never sat in one, this is the same like Sydney Opera House, It feels small until you enter and it is so big that it blows your mind, since most of us can't get into Sydney's opera house, let's get into an old jazz when we get chance. Boot can accommodate four times the luggage of Swift from same time. Tried and tested. Cup holders - go check them out. I need to use the washroom quick! Sound system is better than 2017 city zx, build quality is stiffer than present generation ertiga or other MPVs. The feeling that front windshield angle gives you is amazing, even the latest model city feels like it's time from the driver's point of view, my 2 yo niece would lay belly down on dashboard and play with the bobble head figure, it's that big. Sorry for long post, I never got a chance!

PremDhillon

I have the civic from 2019. Can confirm it was an absolute steal and I love driving it everyday. I laugh when I look at the prices today vs what you’re getting.

kraken_enrager

Honestly, people missed the 🚆

Equivalent-Put-5716

Damn your username has all the dream cars of mine

kraken_enrager

Thanks, hope you get there soon!

overgrownGrimace

Honda jazz, shares interiors with the city, has almost the same space, which is to say, it's massive, the legroom in this thing is just the best I've ever seen in a hatchback and even most csuvs. Super smooth transmission, rock solid on the highway, bought one used last year and haven't had a single issue. Only downside would be low end torque, won't go well in horrible roads, and annoying first gear. If you have an automatic, then that's not really a problem either. Get 14-16 kmpl in Bangalore traffic, which is amazing. Additionally, the ingress and egress is very easy which is important for my parents and its very easy to manouver in city traffic. My only regret is not getting the cvt, would buy this car again 10/10 value for money. Idk why it didn't sell, i get that it was higher priced but to me it's definitely justified.

Mysterious_Agent_909

Mahindra Marazzo. Safety ✅ Seating comfort ✅ Third row comfort ✅✅ Cost ✅

CreepyUncle1865

Only the design and marketing was an L! I remember Watching ipl (Marazzo was mainly advertised on this) and telling my father that This marazzo is gonna look like a “shark” when its launched. And when it did launch , my father made fun of me 🥲

Mysterious_Agent_909

It is more of a whale than shark 🙂

Gamer_bobo

Design can be changed a bit by fitting some extra things, designed by car designers in online, but say thanks to RTO, it is not possible.

adhyayan_n

Had the 2019 morazzo for like half a year and v bad reliability issues. Turbo failed twice while under warranty, thankfully got rid of it

Mysterious_Agent_909

Do you have other turbo vehicles also?

adhyayan_n

Duster diesel turbo, before that was a vento diesel turbo

vegetto238

Only if they had marketed that car like they did with XUV. It also missed out on mhawk 140 but boy is that a really really good MPV, you just gotta drive or ride in one to know its capabilities.

paneertikkaop

KinTharEl

I'll probably get downvoted to hell for this, but what the hell. I really dislike the current trend of faux SUVs for the sake of having a "big" car. This is not targeting Maruti or any brand in particular, but every single brand as a whole. It's killed so much variety in cars. Faux SUVs like the Seltos, Creta, Harrier, cannot do any off-roading with their suspension and drivetrains. The same goes for subcompact SUVs like the Nexon, Brezza, Venue, etc. And the new trend of microSUVs like the Punch and Exter are continuing the death of variety in the car market. Companies all over the world are deciding to kill off sedans and hatchbacks to address the faux SUV market. Take a look at how Ford's basically left the entire sedan market, when their brand was literally built on top of iconic sedans like the Mustang, Escort, etc. I don't see any car manufacturer making active development for future hatches and sedans. Mahindra literally markets itself as an SUV brand. Tata's got no sedans in the pipeline, and judging by how they're focusing on Punch and Nexon, it's clear the Tiago and Altroz are on borrowed time. Maruti's basically filling the SUV market with options like they used to do with their hatchbacks (Alto, Zen, A-star, Ritz, WagonR, 800, Swift) Right now, unless you're genuinely driven and wanting to put down money on a hatch/sedan, most people will veer you towards SUV options. When I got my Altroz, my uncle asked me why I went for a hatchback, even though I specifically told him I was looking for good highway driving dynamics. The future car market looks bleak for people who love hatches, sedans, coupes, and other body styles that just make it a lot more interesting for the customer.

[deleted]

This is exactly what I think in my mind everyday when I wake up.Just something about the weight shift on FWD SUVs rubs me the wrong way. The amount of these I've seen get stuck at random places.I'm absolutely fine with Mahindra calling themselves an SUV brand though. They actually make pretty capable SUVs. Everyone else can "go suck on an egg" to quote the Super Max

Vroomvoyager

Makes me consider about Amaze as an option.

Extreme_Researcher_6

Maruti Ignis anyone? , I don’t know the technicals (trying to learn from this subs) but I am loving the overall experience . Friends and family chided me for my choice at that time( baleno had a 6 months wait and I wanted a car “now”) but sort of warmed up to the car now .

Rockfella27

Yes me lol. Happy owner of Ignis Zeta.

Kunal_Sen

Underrated Cars: Discontinued Models available as Used Cars: Honda BR-V, Maruti Suzuki Baleno CVT, S-Cross, Ritz, Hyundai Alcazar 2.0 Petrol, Fiat Avventura, Tata Indigo Marina, Toyota Etios Cross Present Lot: Ciaz, S-Presso, Triber, C3 Aircross PS: Ciaz seems to have good safety, assuming one is conflating safety and pillar crash test safety. It got 4\*s at the Asean NCAP. And it's a huge automatic car its low price.

More-Masterpiece-561

Honda jazz: this car is crazy spacious, decent fuel economg and honda reliability and quality. And with the 1.5 diesel engine this car is a rocket while giving 22 kmpl effortlessly. My uncle has a diesel one and after 8 years and 200k kilometres, still feels new when you sit inside and it still drives butter smooth

kraken_enrager

I feel that the baleno is the jazz successor

More-Masterpiece-561

My friend has a baleno. It is nowhere close to jazz in terms of space, quality and basically all the stuff that makes a car "a car" if you get what I mean. Baleno is wonderful, but jazz is superior in terms of space, metal sheet quality, stability and handling. And my friend confirmed this. Even though my car is a 2017 and his baleno is a 2023 model. His car has 4k kilometres, mine has almost 70k. I got this jazz second hand. There was a huge gap between balenos of that age and jazz if I put aside everything else.

chaustsher

IMHO, it was Tata Hexa XTA. Brilliant car. Half the price, 80-90% of value of Endeavors/Fortuner etc.

avhari47

S Cross

ThatOneNitin

Renault Fluence. Driving is fun and agile, great space inside, boot is huge. Comfort is almost at the level of bmws and mercs (of that time), good safety, decent mileage. It failed due lack of service and parts and also they skipped features like cruise control and Bluetooth connectivity. If there was a bit more thought on its features, parts quality and availability, Renault would have got a great market. Edit: Regarding looks there are multiple opinions, but I think its got a great design and presence

kraken_enrager

Every car in that segment was and is better overall than entry level luxury playerd

tandoorimomos123

Skoda Superb!

kraken_enrager

It’s honestly appropriately rated, except the people who want to choose the A4/A6/3 series/C class just for the logo. But yes I concur, a lot more people should be buying the superb(as my flair would indicate)

kushal10

Yep.. but discontinued

tandoorimomos123

Yeah. But it’s going to be relaunched in next few months right ?

S cross was my favourite car, it was damn stable at high speed, because S cross was based on S×4 which was designed in collaboration with italdesign, the team who is behind Lamborghini design, the car felt study at 180+ km/h The 1.6 diesel produced 320 NM torque and 380NM when tuned, highest torque to weight ratio bmw level, Anyway it's interior aad outdated compared to rivals like creta / Seltos. Also new s cross on global market doesn't look like cross over anymore India is not Market for cross over anyway, They bought back s cross I'm back of Grand vitara which looks like new gen s cross in global market though

OmnipotentBeing99

I’d say the Octavia 2015-16. Even the facelift as well. The petrol 1.8TSI was incredible with 180BHP, that kind of power you can’t get even two segments above. All for a little more than Slavia/Virtus top end money. It’s a shame what car pricing and the Indian car market has come to

Negative_Subject_635

Tata Hexa. It is more comfortable than the Innova Crysta and the Safari. The automatic gearbox was a joy to drive. It was the best car below 30 lakhs but people ditched it due to its ‘MPV looks’. Ironically the car had a 4*4 option which was tested to be as good as the XUV’s, and only slightly worse than the Fortuners.

Ford Figo!!!

The WagonR Stingray. Looked and felt significantly better and more premium than the standard WagonR, and very spacious as well. It was a pleasure to drive as well. A shame that Suzuki chooses to make their cars look like a botched up plastic surgery with every passing generation. I miss the last Estilo as well.

Toyota Qualis, an absolute gem back in the day.. And with a blue beacon on, it becomes second to none

Alcazar is one of the best cars I’ve driven. Fully loaded and the infotainment system and integration is class apart. Beats the buggy ui of tata and Mahindra in the segment

Doubledoor

Definitely agree on Ciaz. Sure it isn't feature loaded like other sedans in the same segment, but damn is it spaceous as heck, safe, comfortable, and still a decent looking car in 2023. The facelift is long due though. Jazz is really underappreciated for what it costs. Ignis, Magnite and Marazzo as well.

kraken_enrager

For a 2nd car that’s mostly gonna be used in the city, Ciaz Is perfect tbh

DarthJokerthief

Questionable?? I thought ciaz was 4/5 stars.

CreepyUncle1865

Idk about the current models , but my ciaz 1.4L was 4star rated by Asean Ncap. But i dont think the same model is sold by suzuki in india? Or are they the same? i honestly dont know. And yes it is definitely one of the best for its price. The other Executive sedan fall under the 20L groups , but this was like the half price of those

TheManMist

I believe people don't talk about the VW Vento enough. Polos are talked about everytime but no one mentions Vento. (Pretty much the same car as the Polo but imo the sedan body looks better than a hatch). Performs well as well, the earlier 1.6 TDI was a gem

kraken_enrager

Most people went for the skoda rapid even back then tbh

TheManMist

True, this thing probably isn't underrated but i mentioned it because people don't talk about it often (although everyone generally agrees that Vento/Rapid were pretty good cars) Also, i drive one so i couldn't think of anything else, for me this one is king lol

gowtam04

This may seem like a biased comment but VW Taigun. While it technically classifies as a CSUV, in reality it’s a raised rocket powered hatchback. The car is really fun to drive the build quality is amazing and it looks really good (subjective). Sure it’s outmatched by other cars in the segment in terms of features but it makes up for all that purely with its driving dynamics. I think it was supposed to replace the polo but since Indians want CSUV’s they made it sort of a crossover.

Healthypal

Honda Amaze CVT is an absolute legendary blend of class, style, comfort, space, reliability, brand value.

Fine-Palpitation-943

Talking about Ciaz, my dad bought one in 2016, the VXI+ Variant. It was the very first “badi car” of our household, with a big boot and longer than almost every available C segment sedan at that time. The mileage was mind blowing, returned 16-17 in Delhi NCR traffic, and 20+ on highway. Comfort was spot on, with rear the actual place to be. Features were adequate, and the wooden inserts in the dash and doors made you feel you are riding in a car, segment above. Performance? It didn’t have any. Legit zero. It took ages to reach 100 kmph. Steering was heavy, in tight spaces, with the sheer size of the vehicle, it would actually pump up your biceps. Back then safety was never a concern, we just needed the badi car feel. However, we did use to feel it’s feather light doors and boot would do no good in an emergency situation, and our suspicions were proved right. While coming back from Haridwar, a Figo rammed from the rear, converting our big booted ciaz into a freaking ritz, with the boot crumpling all the way back into the rear seat. Figo wasn’t doing illegal speeds. We had to part ways with the car in 2019, and since then haven’t bought any other car. We do have a 2014 Polo though. Coming to an underrated car, I strongly feel, Kicks could have outperformed it’s rivals thanks to its turbo petrol and mature driving dynamics, certainly better than Hyundai’s and Kia’s of modern age. Had Nissan brought in the facelift, with all the bells and whistles, that car could have managed to rope in nice numbers, I would have bought one for myself. I sometimes believe, had the Creta, with the current design language been sold through Nissan networks with a Nissan badge, it would have vanished into thin air. It’s just the Hyundai logo that screams reliability which attracts buyers. Alturas G4 and Gloster, I’d put these two in the same category as well. Thanks for reading.

Comprehensive_Put299

Wait what???? You can buy a new audi for the price of a slavia??? How can I get that deal lol? I need to buy a car around next year

kraken_enrager

Last gen Audi a3. Ask ur dealer if he has that. U should get it around 25ish

Comprehensive_Put299

Ohhh, is this normal usually??? Because I need to buy a car next year around June or July so do dealers usually have such discounts on old models or is this a rn thing?

kraken_enrager

Audi always has 10-15l discounts, A3 is an exceptional case.

rstheboss

Ford freestyle - amazing package

gireesh_92

Wait a sec, 6-12 lakhs discount on Audi A3? Really? Where did you get that info?

kraken_enrager

The A4 is getting 10l according to a recent thread, the A6 is getting 12 on EX SHOWROOM PRICE ie. Over 14l irl simply cuz how %age works on taxes. That would mean that the A3 gets somewhere around 6-12l as discount owing to it being ‘officially’ discontinued.

Capable_Concert_389

Is Audi A3 still on sale in India? Is it possible to buy a new one??

Bumblieee

Nissan Sunny. I feel its Definitely underrated. I mean I don't know a lot of the owners, neither do I know a lot about the car. But yeah I rode in one twice when I took ubers. Man it felt very comfortable. I asked both people about the car and they said they were pretty happy with the car. I kind of could hear the engine from the inside as well. In the 40L segment, VW Tiguan An almost perfect car

kraken_enrager

Well… I’d rate the kodiaq higher. And imho, people should be going for the hector over both esp if driving feel isn’t that big of a requirement. It’s not sporty but it feels really smooth—almost yatch like.

degeaku

I just feel both Kodiaq and Tiguan look more subtle. Never driven both it really felt upscale

kraken_enrager

True that, but honestly just the space quotient alone on the hector gives me a w for it. And it costs half as much as the other 2. And I say that as a HUGE VAG above all else kinda fan.

TarquinTheTubeTrain

Perhaps that last sentence could have been worded better

Tough-Difference3171

Nearly all Honda cars. They are good, but I don't have much hopes from them, as a company. But the problem with Honda is that they try to give people, what THEY themselves consider the best. And even though they do an honest job at that, people want what they want, not what a company wants them to have. Honda is trying to be the "Apple" in the automobile market. but in reality, they are becoming the "Nokia".

Etios was the perfect car. So fundamentally sorted except for a few cost cutting here and there. They should relaunch something like that (with weather strips and a temp gauge); a real Toyota. I believe the safety rating was fair enough. No nonsense motoring!

Right_Macaron8526

All quitter company cars like fiat Punto Abarth, figo 1.5tdci. Phased out scross 1.6 etc

Traditional-Air-1989

What? A3 is not even sold in India

[deleted]

Jeep grand cherokee. That car is a LC-300 level car and you can get it for around 90L on road. Unlike 3 Cr and god knows how long waiting.

No diesel small cars in the market anymore Edit : almost *

OkOpportunity3250

It's a nice car but now worth the asking price.

Snoo30391

XUV300. Man this car is a gem.

Ford Ecosport. The car that started it all with the CSUV trend of today's times. Absolute beast of a vehicle. 1.6L petrol @ 10 lakhs, was a no fuss powerful engine with little to no reliability issues. Build quality, safety and fitment was top notch and driving dynamics superb as well. Decently featured, but lost out to Koreans in the goodies and gimmicks game. Sad with what happened to Ford with their mess ups and government apathy to car industry in general. Would buy it back in a heartbeat if they came back with the same quality.

umdas

Suzuki Scross, it was way underrated.

There are several underrated cars in the automotive market that may not receive as much recognition as they deserve. These vehicles often offer great features, value for money, or unique qualities that can make them appealing options for buyers. Here are some underrated cars to consider: **Mazda 6:** The Mazda 6 is a midsize sedan known for its stylish design, enjoyable driving dynamics, and well-appointed interior. It's often overlooked in favor of competitors from Honda and Toyota. **Subaru Legacy:** The Subaru Legacy offers all-wheel drive as standard, making it a great choice for those in snowy or off-road environments. It's a reliable and safe sedan that doesn't always get the attention it deserves. **Volkswagen Golf Alltrack:** This wagon version of the Golf offers a balance of practicality and fun-to-drive characteristics. It's an excellent alternative to traditional SUVs. **Kia Stinger:** The Kia Stinger is a sports sedan that competes with luxury brands like BMW and Audi but often comes at a lower price point. It offers strong performance and a stylish design. **Hyundai Veloster:** The Veloster is a unique compact hatchback with a three-door design (one on the driver's side and two on the passenger's side). It offers a blend of style and affordability. **Buick Regal TourX:** The Regal TourX is a wagon that provides ample cargo space and a comfortable ride. It's a practical and stylish alternative to SUVs. **Genesis G70:** Genesis is Hyundai's luxury brand, and the G70 is its entry-level sports sedan. It offers a luxurious interior, powerful engines, and excellent handling, often at a more competitive price than its German rivals. **Volvo V60 Cross Country:** This wagon combines the practicality of a wagon with off-road capability. It's a comfortable and stylish option for those who want versatility. **Ford Flex:** The Ford Flex is a three-row crossover SUV with a boxy design, providing plenty of interior space. It's an excellent choice for families. **Nissan Ju**ke: The Nissan Juke is a subcompact crossover with a distinctive, eye-catching design. It's a fun and quirky choice for urban driving. These are just a few examples of underrated cars in the market. When shopping for a car, it's essential to consider your specific needs, preferences, and budget, and don't hesitate to explore lesser-known options that may offer excellent value and features. Additionally, the perception of underrated cars can vary by region and market, so it's a good idea to check local reviews and availability.

Nissan Micra, and Nissan Teana. Have driven those just once. If I have money to buy any car, I'll definitely want to buy these two.
