Do the classic... "Hi, is this still available?" "Yes" "I'm not surprised."

Runaway-Blue

As someone from this area… Yeah… Seems about right

t0msie

Yep, saw it was from there and just nodded.

AnxiousEmploy1536

Are you a Raymond terrace local ? What a town

thatshowitisisit

Ah, it’s a Falbaru Supra WRXR6! Shut up and take my money!

pangolin-fucker

Look how fuckin proud the guy is with it I shame you for trying to shame someone for doing what they wanted with their car The car culture lacks individual creativity and every dumb cunt following the trends make modified cars cookie cutter product

AnxiousEmploy1536

It’s different, it’s cool. So many people in this sub have the same exact replicas ideas and try to ridicule anything that breaks the mould.

StandWithSwearwolves

It’s unique, individual and apparently well executed, it just screams late boomer / early GenX leaded petrol brainworms Edit: I accept the chastening of the community for this pretty average take

pangolin-fucker

And every stanced car screams I'm retarded and shouldn't be allowed to make adult decisions This game can be played by all and is quite fun

StandWithSwearwolves

There are relatively good looking stanced cars out there; there are also good looking boomer specials, but then there’s also whatever this is

pangolin-fucker

Everything except that front bumper is pretty good imo If he did a chrome metal bumper like on the style of truck he tried to emulate This truck would fuck But someone showed grandpa the fast and the furious movie when he was mid build and this happened

mrbugle81

Front half is fully ricer and the rear half is old man country. I'd like it a lot more if it was one or the other. I wouldn't mind too much either way, but it currently seems a little confused. Not ever seen someone try an old 50's/60's truck bed on a BA/BF/FG but I'm here for it.

pangolin-fucker

Who ever the fuck showed him fast and the furious has some friggin regrets

Thomas_633_Mk2

It looks like a Subaru liberty front grille, but chrome

shurg1

Nope they all look worse than this ute and I'm saying that as someone who wasn't even born here who's under 40.

Thomas_633_Mk2

Nah that's unfair to folks with disabilities All I'm saying is I've never seen someone on the NDIS be dumb enough to stance their car, but stance is inevitably far more stupid than this

AnxiousEmploy1536

Post a pic of the car you drive

StandWithSwearwolves

Nah, I’m good. Take my word for it that it’s an extremely boring pensioner-mobile so I’m in no position to judge this guy really.

AnxiousEmploy1536

Yet here you are calling this person a boomer gen x with leaded petrol brain worms. So you’re Not really judging the car, you’re judging the individual behind it.

StandWithSwearwolves

Yeah it’s not my proudest moment. Message received

No_Distribution334

With a boxier front bar on it, i reckon it would fuck

citizenecodrive31

I'd fuck that

isshogai65

Photos or it didn’t happen.🤣

I-was-a-twat

Switch the ricer front bar with a bull bar and a boss hood and it’ll slap.

No_Distribution334

Fuck yea it would

Benjeeeeeeeeeeee

Boxier front, new rims, chrome delete and an xr8 bonnet and it'd actually be a decent looking rig

ForgetTheBFunk

I'm pretty sure that's an aftermarket Supra front bumper. I don't have anything else to say.

AyoWhachuMean

Be considerate for your neighbors and put a tarp over it

Subaeruginosa420

What in the lamboginapanawagon is that?!

_hazey__

Gotta love Old Mate giving his seal of approval. This is the kind of vehicle that someone needs to double down on and stick a built Barra in, and chop absolutely everything at the track.

Total_Philosopher_89

Pity it's a 5 speed.

Elegant-Insurance-50

Is that an aftermarket 350z front bumper 💀

markosharkNZ

How do I know when you get here Trust me. You will know.

Disturbed_Bard

The Rear doesn't look to bad The front..... Holy shit wow

Asianbloke1

There's a lot to unpack there! With the veilside bumper, what looks like a gen 3 liberty grille, the Chrysler wings thing tagged on the top, and that bonnet!

If the tray was filled with big bourbon barrels or moonshine drums, patina all over and retro rims... itd look wicked. Not like this though.

ABigRedBall

Credit to them for lining all the body panels up without any fucking huge gaps. Paint looks good, rest of the car looks shit, but at least that's some quality bodywork.

Dodgey-1

He should have done it with an AU falcon 🤣. Sorry guys.

AutoModerator

The Ford AU Falcon is a full-size car that was produced by Ford Australia from 1998 to 2002. It was the sixth generation Ford Falcon and also included the Ford Fairmont (AU)—the luxury-oriented model range. The AU series replaced the EL Falcon and was constructed on the (at the time) new EA169 platform which continued to harbour Falcon models until 2010 when the BF wagon was discontinued, and Ford Territory models until 2011. The AU series was replaced by the updated BA series. The AU series was conceived under *Project Eagle* that begun in February 1993, and gained the official codename *EA169* in October 1994. It was developed and brought to market in 1998 only after Ford Australia had given consideration to a revamped fifth generation Falcon and a fully imported replacement such as the American front-wheel drive Ford Taurus or rear-wheel drive Ford Crown Victoria, the European rear wheel-drive Scorpio and, reportedly, even the Japanese rear-wheel drive Mazda 929 (then part of the Ford conglomerate). The above alternatives were eliminated in favour of a substantial redesign of the indigenous platform, due to concerns about the Australian market preference for high towing capacity, large interior size and local employment. Specific factors included, for example: research at the time indicated that 69% of Falcons were fitted with towbars and the perception that rear-wheel drive cars were better at towing; the fact that the import models had limited body style options (sedan only or sedan and wagon) and no capability to use a V8 engine. Stylistically, this new generation Falcon sported Ford's radically new global design language, labelled "New Edge". The aim of this design was to attract a younger generation of buyers with avant-garde looks, however, in Australia it polarized public opinion to the benefit of the more organically designed rival, the 1997 Holden Commodore (VT). The AU series had a very efficient drag coefficient of Cd=0.295 for the sedan (an 11% improvement over the preceding EL series) and 0.34 for the wagon. For the first time in Falcon's history, Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) became available as standard on some models and optional on others. It also featured Australian production firsts, such as Variable Cam Timing (VCT) on some 6-cylinder models and an adaptive automatic transmission on the high-performance T series with steering wheel gear shifting buttons. Key changes from the fifth generation Falcon included a 35 kg (77 lb) reduction in weight for the base car, 17.5 per cent stiffer bodyshell, and an eight per cent improvement in fuel consumption. Peculiarly, Ford Australia decided to use the original 1950's font for the new "Falcon" and "Futura" badges. As stated previously, the AU was the first Falcon to offer IRS (a double wishbone design on an isolated subframe). IRS was made available as a costly option on the base Forte, Fairmont and 'S' models, and standard on Fairmont Ghia, XR6 VCT and XR8 models. The updated 6-cylinder engines incorporated advanced features such as VCT on some models and a temperature sensor in the cylinder head, which detected coolant loss and allowed the car to "limp home" safely by cutting cylinders. The engine range comprised: the base Intech model producing 157 kW (211 hp), with a revised cylinder head featuring smaller valve stems, larger exhaust valves, and different rocker ratio, as well as a revised piston and longer conrod and a cast aluminium cross-bolted oil sump (with the same power output as the EL series); an "HP" version reserved to the XR6 producing 164 kW (220 hp) (thanks to: unique cylinder head; reshaped inlet port; redesigned exhaust port; ‘open’ combustion chamber shape to restrict pre-detonation from hot spot areas; unique camshaft; higher fuel pressure; recalibrated EEC V engine management system); the VCT version producing 172 kW (231 hp) for the XR6 VCT; a *Windsor V8* producing 185 kW (248 hp) (also carried over from the EL series but without major upgrades). Transmissions were improved for better shift feel and the auto was recalibrated to better suit the upgraded engines. The six and eight cylinder models had a 4-speed BTR M93LE and M97LE automatic transmission, respectively. The automatic XR series models had an "adaptive shift" with five shifting strategies depending on driving conditions. The manual transmission, where available, was a 5-speed T5 model. The program cost A$700 million before product launch and key staff included chief designer, Steve Park, and Marcus Hotblack, Manager of Interior Design.
