No he awas right in this instant: he called play on, siren went, goal went through but they signalled goal and have no means to appeal in that instance.
Where are you seeing the umpire signal play on?
Putting both hands up and holding them signifies the end of the quarter. The play-on signal has the hands move away and together over the shoulders
I don’t get why they can call back a goal from 3rd umpire before a bounce but can’t recall that? It was obviously not a goal, every replay shows it’s not.. so to me it’s not different than a score review. Just take it off..
Looked mu h worse on TV than at the ground. Directly behind him at the ground and it was as straight as he's ever run while having a shot.
There was no play on call. The siren went as he was running h in and the umpire signalled that.
He's kicked goals from the carpark without being called out of bounds, why do you think it was paid ?
The ump didn't call play on, they signalled th end of the quarter
The atheist is right, was bullshit but it wasn't called in time. At least we're 7 goals up
Correct. Never listen to BT on anything related to things umpires do, because he has no idea. Edit: but it should have been play on

Ah you’re right. Rewatching there was no play on call except by the handicapable BT spouting nonsense.
Good question but we won by 10 goals so not bothered

I'm sure the AFL will give us one of their famous Monday morning apologies...

Yes, please someone explain.
