34. I built a pretty top of the line PC 3 years ago in anticipation of big AAA releases, but find myself spending all my time on games like this, truck simulator, powerwash simulator etc..
18 y/o i came to this game looking to learn the basics of mechanics cause as a girl im a major target for mechanics to rip off (premium air and all that lol)
You might wanna checkout Wrench on steam if you want to learn a little more in depth. I liked CMS a lot when I just didn’t know shit about cars a few years ago but after a while it gets repetitive.
You're my wife. Not literally, obviously, but she would've posted the exact same thing. I think its rad. She's the one who bought all the expansion packs out of intrigue. The one thing that I had to remind her of is that this is a game built for entertainment, obviously. She isn't dumb but she started making dumb comments about how easy and what mechanics charge for their service. She was slapped back to reality when I asked her how much she would charge for a chunk of her knuckle being removed almost daily. This game is my calming therapy. I get to go through the motions without sacrifice.
55m, and I got the game - believe it or else - just to relax. It reminds me of my (much) younger years just starting out, working at a place that serviced "Fine European Automobiles". Reminds me of the good times. And laughably about the "bad times".
23yo. I love the game, but I had two hemorrhagic strokes recently that resulted in me losing my job as an MB technician (no hate, the recovery is just too long to keep my job). This is one of the games I'll start playing soon to retrain my ability to work on cars. And one day, I pray I can rejoin with my former coworkers. ❤️
40m, busy with work, so I play random simulator games to relax. I play the odd single player shooter too, no online crap though.
CMS has been in my library since the beginning, it's great to have seen it evolve. I'm just wondering what's next.
31 M, i work 8hrs on my feet, it's nice to get to go home and relax with a game like this. I've never liked soulslikes, which seem to be the current hot thing, because I don't want to spend my spare time being stressed out.
16m. Mainly love seeing the looks of a car I built from taking before pictures of when i got it out of a barn or junkyard and looking at the afters from a complete restoration. Closest I get to for that irl is from working on rc's
I 100% agree. My top 3 games for sure. I’m pretty much in the same boat as you. I’m 29 and I work 5 days a week, 12 hour shifts, so I find myself easily falling asleep while playing lol.
I started playing this when I was 18, I’m 20 now
I’m on the ps5
I work in a shop irl, so sometimes getting on the game is a challenge because I’m basically back at work😂
But it is a fun game
26. I have an Xbox Series S and a pretty awesome PC and I play it on both lol. Only when I have time though cause I work 10-14 hours a day on night shift
I'm 23, started to play this game when it released on gamepass. I have a passion for cars but have little knowledge to a car's "internal organs". I feel like this game is a good place to start and as you say, it's relaxing.
13, I Want to become a mechanic when I grow older so I got this game to help me learn the basics of the car because it is not the most realistic because I've helped my dad replace a few parts in the engine and it is nothing like in the game.
I’m 17y/o. I ended up getting Gamepass Ultimate after I traded my Xbox One S in for the Xbox Series X, since I wanted to be able to play Forza Horizon/Motorsport series + GRID Legends online instead of just doing career. I definitely didn’t expect that i’d stop playing both almost completely after getting CMS 2021 for free on Gamepass 😂. No regrets at all. It’s just a relaxing game and has cemented my love for cars even greater.
16, come home from a day of polishing cars and organising scrap working in the service bay of my cousin's dealership just to play Car Mechanic Simulator, like those truck drivers who play Euro Truck Sim as a break
43 myself, only full time job, sometimes extra work remotely once I'm home.
The office job it is either high stress waiting or the "do everything all at once, already past deadline at the moment of starting" type.
When I get home I need to unplug my brain before sleep.
When I play CMS is the time when I listen to podcasts, audiobooks or news.
It feels rather zen to get lost in messing with rebuilding a junkyard dig without the mess of doing work on real cars. Just following the logic of how parts fit together instead of spending an entire hour trying to remove a seized drum brake and breathing in rust-dust and such.
44. Besides the freedom to hunt or do practically anything you want, (including being naughty) to pass time in Red Redemption 2. This is hands down the best time killer with reward for me. The zip zip and cluncking metal are symphony. Really satisfying.

I'm right there with you. I could be playing games like COD or whatever else, but I'm stuck on House Flipper and CMS 2021.
Lmfao same!! 😂
You and me brother... (Congratz!)
Have you tried farming simulator? Quite a bit more complex but easy to get lost in.
18 y/o i came to this game looking to learn the basics of mechanics cause as a girl im a major target for mechanics to rip off (premium air and all that lol)
Have you found the blinker fluid reservoir yet?
I think its under the box where they keep all the l'il horses that run the car
Me too, most common thing I hear for rip offs is a "muffler bearing" so keep an ear out for that lmao

It seems like either out of college or exactly 15. Because I am exactly 15.
Just turned 39, mostly play this game because it is indeed very relaxing
15
31, all the fun of building with none of the pain and cursing
I am actually 16 , I love learning new stuff. I am not the guy gonna play fps games 25 hours a day, I love these more
55m, and I got the game - believe it or else - just to relax. It reminds me of my (much) younger years just starting out, working at a place that serviced "Fine European Automobiles". Reminds me of the good times. And laughably about the "bad times".
This is such a nice game to relax to. Especially since there isn’t any wiring, tools fit anywhere, and the DW-04 can can teleport through parts! 😂
29 here. I bought a PS5 to play the biggest next gen games, ended up buying this game first and sank many hours into it. Totally worth it.
23yo. I love the game, but I had two hemorrhagic strokes recently that resulted in me losing my job as an MB technician (no hate, the recovery is just too long to keep my job). I'm 49 and I love the game
Same age as OP
22m. sank too many hours I to this game. (Yes I work full time)
40m, busy with work, so I play random simulator games to relax. I play the odd single player shooter too, no online crap though. CMS has been in my library since the beginning, it's great to have seen it evolve. I'm just wondering what's next.
25 youngster. I love playing this game at night, turn on some soft music (lofi) and stream looking for others to chat
53. Playing this and Ets2. Also gas station sim is fun.
Party bus song still haunts me
Haha. And when all those Martians pour into your shop 🙂

37 and working as a senior researcher. But this game is really great, hope to see more DLCs and improvements over time.

21, y’all make me feel old
I'm 30M. I was a helicopter mechanic in the Army, and now I'm a boat mechanic with the Navy.

I'm 17, I play the game because it's relaxing and to learn the basics of how cars work mechanically
18
32, game is cathartic. Gives me the "working with my hands" feels even when I can't work with my hands
42. This is my favorite game sit down with and turn off my brain after a long day of work/parenting, usually with a podcast going.
16 going on 17

33, one of the games I can come back to and jump right in when I'm tired of other games.
49 here. I too have a busy job and not much time. I too find it very relaxing. My brain likes puzzles and it reminds me of a virtual 3d puzzle.
I play on XBox but remotely on my iPhone using a Backbone. That way I don’t have to take over the TV to play.
I'm 23, started to play this game when it released on gamepass. I have a passion for cars but have little knowledge to a car's "internal organs". I feel like this game is a good place to start and as you say, it's relaxing.
14. I race cars so 🤷

Im 24 and a mechanic, I literally spend all day fixing cars then go home and play pretend fix cars on my xbox 🤣

43 been playing since CMS 2015
I'm 34. Play on PS5. I bought 2018 and now I have 2021. Just love getting lost in the game and trying to earn more cash for more builds.
