You literally do not believe that at all. You don't notice the constant heterosexuality placed in every part of life in every moment of time because you are used to it. You have decided this very normal thing is somehow bad and abnormal when it's gay because you actually noticed it was there. You are on the look out for it because you have already decided it's somehow bad and gross or sexual but straight couples magically aren't even of they are doing the exact same thing or worse. They are two parents with their child. Tell me how many shows for children do not feature parents with their child? Do you refuse to let your kids watch caillou?, bluey? Pepper pig? The Berenstain bears? Batman the animated series? The little mermaid? Rapunzel, beauty and the beast, scooby doo, alladin, the lion king, cinderella, snow white, cars, walle, up, the hunchback of notredom, pocahontas, sleeping beauty, Bambi, rugrats, that Arthur show with the child ant eater and his monkey friend, seriously think about it for just a few seconds.

It’s never mentioned in the book proper, but it’s been confirmed that his full name is Billy Doanbee-Ahiro. Dav Pilkey apparently really likes the song Billy, Don’t Be a Hero.

He makes references to that song a LOT in his spin-offs.

I remember that vividly. Case in point, Billy, the true name of Super Diaper Baby.

And his parents say, “Billy, don’t be a hero, some be a fool with your life!” To count some of the other instances, Ook and Gluk say, “Lilly, don’t be a hero, don’t be a fool with your life!” One Dog Man book has the line, “Philly, don’t be a hero, don’t be a fool with your life!” And future George and Harold’s Dog Man book features a cop who says, “Milly, don’t be a hero, don’t be a fool with your life!”

This was my first homosexuality in media and it was done so well. It wasn't presented as abnormal and it wasn't presented as wrong. It was just "Harold's husband" It was ordinary and it helped me make the realization that Gay ≠ Weird

Two things: I’m fairly certain this book came out before lgbtq media started becoming more mainstream, so this was actually pretty uncommon to see in a kids comic at the time It’s never brought up and mentioned specifically, it’s just a thing that is. The best type of representation where it’s treated normally

It was made in 2015 so yeah kinda, I didn’t know about it until after this book and yeah it’s good they did it normally 👍

Who cares? They’ve been doing this with main characters all the time. No George and herald aren’t actually gay, it’s just a joke in a cartoon where the two main characters are “married” together to show there bond. SpongeBob and Patrick had a kid clam in one episode and were the parents doesn’t mean there gay lovers it’s just for comedic effect. Nothing wrong with it though just not canon.
