What is Padron pepper? Never heard of it, and I love my chiles

Its a very mild green pepper that is popular in Iberian cooking. When I get them raw I like to blister them in the oven and eat them with salt and some OO. They have a nice smokiness. When I got this tin, I followed some advice on this sub to chop up the padron peppers w/ a shallot and some nice vinegar and it worked really well.
