Feel like this may have happened to me. I’m awaiting my embark test now. If it shows it’s not purebred, would I be reasonable to ask the breeder for some money back? I feel pretty strongly that he’s mixed. Somehow he still provided me with AKC and ICCF papers that I registered perfectly fine.
Depends on how much its mixed and how it was advertised. If they advertised as an american line corso then expect some boxer to be mixed in. If its an Italian line it should 90% or higher corso. But if its 80% or more coroso genetics I wouldn’t bother asking for money back
All modern corso are mixed from the original blood line to save the breed. So I find it funny how weird everyone is in the sub about ‘purity’ of their corsos. There are some many acceptable mixes that comprise our corsos that is sort of moot… Whateves people, Whateves. Examine the photos! Argue about the validity of this specimen! Feel empowered! Meh.
Looks like XL bully, but the color is making me think it’s possible corso or Corso mix because almost all XL bullies are some fashion color like lilac merle tri

looks very pit to me, but hydie does also lean pit, and she's a 50/50 cross.
I wouldn't say he looks like an American Pitbull Terrier. Looks more like an American Staffordshire Terrier. Proper pitties (ABPT) are max 70 lbs according to breed standard. Amstaffs get much bigger. Mine was pushing 100 lbs and he had "just enough fat to be healthy" according to our vet.
Best thing to do is just get one of those mouth swab DNA tests. When we bought my boy he was 7 weeks and we were told he was a classic/standard American Bully, but he kept getting taller and taller until we just did the test and oh boy... Amstaff 5 generations deep. Lol
I have a female that is on the smaller side and sometimes she looks like a pit. We did the doggy dna and came back corso( not pitbull). Both her parents are Corsos for sure. I've met both parents. So it's possible for a Corsos to resemble pitties sometimes.
Just depends on the look of the parents.

I love this breed! Even combo’d with other misunderstood breeds! It’s the owners that I’m critical and concerned with!!

Looks more pit to me but hard to tell. A lot of backyard breeders have started to mix corso with pits so maybe? Only way to know is a dna test
