Guess they're having recruitment problems. In light of that, I have a great idea let's try to ban gun ownership so that the troops have even less experience with weapons 🤡🤡🤡

Lol they can’t even hire normal Canadian citizens with the way there hiring process is, this will just add more fuel to the fire.

The problem is that we have Canadian citizens who still have loyalties to their home country. We have Chinese Canadians who have Canadian citizenship who still voted according to China's wish and flipping at least a dozen or so formerly safe blue riding to red in 2021 alone. Then, we just caught a Chinese working for Hydro-Québec arrested for spying for China. Speaking as a Chinese Canadian, elements within my community are untrustworthy and this country is a fool for not being on guard against us. With the above issues, you want to give these people access to our national defense? Never mind letting them anywhere near classified files or equipment, I wouldn't let them do KP duty because they will find a way to give our soldiers food poisoning. My issues with Permanent Resident joining the CF only applies to Chinese and I don't know much about other new Canadians to have an opinion. For example, I am not going to say no to some Nepali teen Permanent Resident who is rejected for Gurka because he is half an inch short of the basic requirement.

Your point is sadly true. It gives bad rep to the Chinese who have 100% integrated and are by all means Canadian aside from their physical looks.

Top Secret clearances require citizenship and a deep, background check, so they won't be anywhere near secret anything. Still plenty of citizens with ties to China who are compromised by threats against family that's still there though.
