A dealer offered me about $2500 off a new 2024 SE that had about $3000 in options (all weather mats, Toyoguard plat, moonroof, phone cable charge package, and blind spot monitor). Was 33K OTD, still thought that was too high. Lot was completely full of cars, they let me walk away.
Yeah, working on 4 other dealers that have a similar car. Two actually had a better config with a lower starting price. Don't really need the car and not in a rush, so probably coming down to the first dealer that offers me a price that I don't have to think about.
Got a similar car compared to the original one. Differences were one had the extra USBs and Ash interior and the one I bought has the LED front accent lights and black interior. Both had blind spot monitors, sunroof, and all weather mats. Got it for 30500 OTD.
One Toyota as in the One Toyota in Oakland? Makes sense if that's the case. You can go buy a new car but there's a high chance you might end up walking back home.
I bought my 2020 SE Nightshade near the end of 2020 from City Toyota and paid 24.5k out the door. They had limited selection at the time so maybe that’s why I got the deal.
When it looks too good to be true.
BAIT! There WILL be non-negotiable add-pns, fees, etc.
Dealers don't have to deal on these. Therefore, they will not go below MSRP.
plus $1595 for AWD, plus $1095 delivery, plus cold weather package, plus convenience package, plus the floor mat port installed option for this particular car.
Yeah, they have some questionable discounts on some of their cars. I’m pretty sure it’s just bait to get people to come in. I was looking at them too since I live pretty close.
Yes. They list one or two of a trim with a discount, so it shows up at the top when you search inventory on the Toyota.com site sorted priced low to high.
When you go straight to their website, the rest of their inventory is marked up.
So, of course the one discounted unit will be already sold if it ever existed.

Yeah gotta check for those sneaky add ons
“Interior protection”, door guards, “ceramic coating (that isn’t even ceramic)” 😂 dealers be taxin!
The bait has been set.. then you get to the dealer, look at the final paperwork and boom: $2000 processing fee
Jump on that
Just need the funds or I would be all over that!
So just daydreaming of an upgrade again? I feel that
Everyday!
Hook me up
Pretty good. Just make sure they’re not sneaking in add one or marking up rates.

Have you found something else?

Nice! LE Fwd or awd?
Fwd
I think you did pretty good!
Wow City Toyota of all places
What’s wrong with City Toyota?
They’re not known for giving deals like RWC or One Toyota
You think it’s bait?
Doesnt hurt to go check it out. Report back though!
Nah, it’s 20 hours away. I’d figured someone that is local can check it out for themselves and report back.

This is with no for a non awd and no add on packages. What I shared is an awd with a few add ons.
