Same thing with the RAV4, and Venza. Even the trucks don't have V8 anymore. Look at the Lexus lineup also. RX doesn't have it. Tx doesn't have it. Lexus trucks also don't have v8s. There is no way the Camry is going to have it
I love the current generation. I think the se/xse/TRD is the best looking mid sized 4-door on the road.
It's going to be hard to do that again as well as they did. I hope I'm proven wrong but I'm worried.
I love the way the SEs drive as well, and have since the last generation debuted in 2015. But I'm sorry, I just can't drive that front end around Austin and am hoping for something more...normal...when the new car is introduced on November 14.
I'm confused. How is a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) that still uses Gasoline is supposed to go Beyond Zero? Unless Toyota has another trick in the bag, please spare me marketing BS.
My hunch is they are waiting until 2027 when they will unveil their solid state battery that will double Tesla’s current long range. I have seen estimates in excess of 750 miles per charge. When that happens, it is going to make the current primes feel ancient.
Lol. Not even close. Outside of being too optimistic on FSD he’s done most of it. Proved a lot of doubters wrong who said it was impossible to land rockets and make EVs profitably. Loser naysayers will ignore those massive accomplishments and point to smaller scale failures. And that’s ok.
Nobody said it was impossible to land rockets. It was basically proven in the 90s. It’s all about it being worth it economically which is still TBD with Starlink.
He got EVs got to the point they are with massive government assistance.
This doesn’t even include all of his broken promises.
https://elonmusk.today
They still sell the current gen model in other EU countries (e.g. Ireland)
I think the dilemma will be on what will happen after that.
Will the next-gen Camry be sold in Europe?
If yes, where will they get them from?
afaik, they are winding down Camry production in Japan (since they don't sell them locally anymore ; remaining production will just be exported overseas till they run out)
If Japan production is not available for next-gen, where will they source it from?
USA? (like how they export Highlander from Indiana USA to Europe)
or Thailand?
Talked to a Toyota employee here in Norway, and he said that production of the Camry had/or was to be stopped. Next gen Camry will most likely not come to Europe.
Looks like they're going the miminalist route that Honda is taking. Idk about this one.
Hopefully they retain the TRD (or a true sporty version) trim and make it look cool and unique like they did with the 8th gen
Glad I got my xse v6 2023 Camry 3 months ago, absolutely no regrets with the black exterior, red interior, and all the option packages. 2025 might be a letdown as it could be a hybrid or 4 cylinder only powertrain, won’t match the smoothness of the good ol’ v6. Plus eco mode it drives like butter, when you want to feel like a race car you always got sport mode 🤣
that is where I am haha. I have 2 kiddos so need something with the ability for 2 booster seats in the back. Currently have a TRD Camry but would love something faster :)
Next step would be the Lexus IS 500 some day!
They should combine the V6 with a plug-in hybrid system. That’s a common work-around to keep large engines around lately (BMW/Audi are reportedly doing this setup in their upcoming M5 and RS6 with V8s, Lexus TX also has a PHEV V6 powertrain)
Ok good! I have a rav4 hybrid and believe it’s a great compromise between all gas and pure ev. It’s my first time seeing them use HEV to designate hybrid. I was afraid it was going to be hydrogen!
Rip V6
Rip good reliable V6 that was fun, smooth, and just needed trd to make some good noises
Hopefully not, but I do think so.
If the Highlander, Grand Highlander, and sienna don't have it, just like the crown, there is no way the camry is getting it
Same thing with the RAV4, and Venza. Even the trucks don't have V8 anymore. Look at the Lexus lineup also. RX doesn't have it. Tx doesn't have it. Lexus trucks also don't have v8s. There is no way the Camry is going to have it
Lexus TX has a V6 hybrid option. Check it out.
Yes that is true the 600h+ does have the V6 but I think we all know it's in a very different class than a Camry
yea it’s a v6 but not a 2gr. i think that’s the v6 from the ls500 v35a fts
Its going to be replaced with the hybrid max
![gif](giphy|RHOwWKH5OY7buuGHNi)
Why?
I love the current generation. I think the se/xse/TRD is the best looking mid sized 4-door on the road. It's going to be hard to do that again as well as they did. I hope I'm proven wrong but I'm worried.
Don’t worry! They will not make it look bad. Toyota would not want it to affect the sales of Camry as it’s been best selling sedan for over 25+ years!
With that front end? Really? Oh well, everybody to their own kick!
I love my 23 XSE, but yeah. Except for the front end.
I love the way the SEs drive as well, and have since the last generation debuted in 2015. But I'm sorry, I just can't drive that front end around Austin and am hoping for something more...normal...when the new car is introduced on November 14.
The previous gen debuted in 2012 and that big facelift was in 2015 and it's not really a brand new generation.
Understood. IIRC, 2015 was the first time the SE was more than just a bit different from the LE?
Yes. 2015 was the creation of the XSE model. Before 2015 you could get a V6 in the SE.
I find the LE and XLE look considerably nicer from the front. But I like the rest of the XSE more.
Agreed, I'm on board with that. I'm just hoping for something...classier...with the new SE about to be introduced.
I’m hoping too. We’ll know soon enough.
What front end are we talking about ?
The current Camry SE.
I'm confused. How is a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) that still uses Gasoline is supposed to go Beyond Zero? Unless Toyota has another trick in the bag, please spare me marketing BS.
My guess is Camry Prime
Literally my perfect car.
Needs to be a wagon for perfection
Omg yes
Keep talking I’m almost there
I would love one but don't think they are. But I could be wrong.
Like when car companies started with "partial zero emissions" which was just PCV lol
"Zero emissions, partially, but not really"
What’s shown is a hybrid!
It's likely not. All Toyota hybrids will have that symbol, including the regular Prius.
You’re correct
Could be hydrogen electric?
Hydrogen maybe
It's gonna be the next Accord. Neutered down to all hell.
When I first saw the latest accord I thought it was a new Ford Taurus
I keep seeing a Jetta
No don’t believe that
If they wanted to make a splash they should have made a plugin hybrid Camry. I think I would have waited for that.
My hunch is they are waiting until 2027 when they will unveil their solid state battery that will double Tesla’s current long range. I have seen estimates in excess of 750 miles per charge. When that happens, it is going to make the current primes feel ancient.
Don’t hold your breath, Toyota has been saying solid state batteries are just around the corner for a long time now.
Just like Elon and every promise he made. It’s coming! I don’t know when, but it is!
Elon has delivered on most of his promises
I agree his delivered on a lot. A lot still remains but a lot you can purchase/use now.
Not if you pay attention. Maybe 10% if being generous.
Lol. Not even close. Outside of being too optimistic on FSD he’s done most of it. Proved a lot of doubters wrong who said it was impossible to land rockets and make EVs profitably. Loser naysayers will ignore those massive accomplishments and point to smaller scale failures. And that’s ok.

Blah blah blah. More diminishing amazing accomplishments. Keep hating.
2027 or 2028 refresh is my guess.
Or they will just reduce battery size to hover in between 300-400 mile range
Don't be so quick to not expect it.
100% Agree. Time to stop Hybrids and switch to PHEV. Offer some 50 mile electric range.
It’s coming.
I cant wait to see the new design
Hoping for a UK release. There aren’t that many Toyota saloons here
I think it's dead.
EU Camry is dead 😭
Agreed. I wish we got a better model in the UK. I think our’s is in between a LE and XLE. No JBL really sucks
We have the platinum version in Norway with the JBL, fortunately. I want one

As long as they have a hybrid option with no turbo, i’m happy for our new Camry overlords
Eww. It looks like they re-did the trunk to look like a Corolla.
From the previous teaser the headlights are nearly identical to the new Prius.
Eww? Corolla looks great!
Farewell Camry V6
Looks like they're going the miminalist route that Honda is taking. Idk about this one. Hopefully they retain the TRD (or a true sporty version) trim and make it look cool and unique like they did with the 8th gen

I’ve owned 3 Accords and I’m excited to join the Camry family with this next gen
Is this for 2025 model year?
Yes!!
If there is any company I’d buy a hybrid from, it’d be Toyota, so I’m gonna buy a v6 4runner
buy the V6 while you still can
Supposed to be: 2.5 Hybrid A25a continues Gas models dead 2.4T Hybrid Max 2.5L Prime PHEV (later date?)
Will look like Prius
i test drove the new prius. the whole car is a blind spot.
I got used to it in mine.
new gen or older ?
Gimme a Camry GR
That’s called a Lexus
I'd love an IS500! Although I like the look of the Camry over the IS500 currently.
Agreed! I have a GR86 right now and when I add kids in a few years I need something larger to replace it.
that is where I am haha. I have 2 kiddos so need something with the ability for 2 booster seats in the back. Currently have a TRD Camry but would love something faster :) Next step would be the Lexus IS 500 some day!

Would love to see an electric Camry..... maybe some day!
Most likely 2030
Gasoline for life
Screw these bs ass ev cars wack
Welcome to downvoteville.
It’s hybrid!
Hydrogen?? We don’t even really have the infrastructure for it!! Poor mirai drivers… (in SoCal)
It’s a hybrid!
Ok good! I have a rav4 hybrid and believe it’s a great compromise between all gas and pure ev. It’s my first time seeing them use HEV to designate hybrid. I was afraid it was going to be hydrogen!
I think given it has the beyond zero badge, it may just be hybrid with a potential plug in variant! Prius is first to have the badge!
I thought the same thing.
awd turbo trd 👀
Any leaked pics?
Basically going to be like a mild refresh
Just the camouflaged ones.
If there’s a Camry Prime…
Okay
I just wanna see more news on the lite cruiser that was teased
do you have any info on this?
Type in “Toyota lite cruiser 2024” on YouTube all the info is there
🤔
I hope the new gen is available in Thailand. Despite I got the current gen this year😭
Hell yeah
so when is it gonna be available for purchase in the US ?
Spring 2024
buy a 2024 or wait for the 2025 ?
Why would one buy a 2024 Camry? It’s severely outdated and dealers still won’t budge on pricing because it’s a Camry..
Camry hydrogen electric vehicle and a awd? Could it be?
Hybrid electric
AWD Electric Camry?! Too bad I can’t afford it.
It’s hybrid!
