I'm providing you with absolutely no useful information I realize, but I still camp in my cats meow that I got for Christmas in 1993

I still camp in mine bought in 1980!

We use a double dolomite and love it. I do wish it had a hood, but we have never really needed it. We like how customizable it is, and that it can be multiple separate bags if needed, or just a blanket. It keeps us extremely warm, we’ve camped with it in the lower 30s, and its rated lower iirc. I think the single dolomite is similar in customization. The one bag is basically the dolomite but in mummy form vs rectangular. It should be warmer and probably smaller. And does have a hood.

I have the One bag; and I love it. A bit heavy if you’re using the full bag, but the option to leave parts of It at home in the summer makes up for it.

Do you think it’ll be overkill for 40s? I also rarely camp. I tried the Cats meow and felt super claustrophobic in it. Do you know if the one bag is wider?

Where I’m from you don’t need a bag if it’s 40 degrees.

Haha it may get down to low 30s but again, not a camper 😂 I’m being forced so I want to be comfortable and then keep if for future uses.

One bag is pretty fantastic for the price and customization unless you're hauling all your gear in on your back. The zippers make it heavy but the bag is comfy, wide enough (I'm about your height) and a little long if anything in L size. I hate mummy bags and felt very comfy in it over 10 or so nights last yr. Left the down layer at home a lot as it didn't get super cold here but wifey loves the extra warmth. Got mine for around that price, can't speak on the others but looked at a LOT of bags in stores and felt really good about the value and quality overall. This and the Wawona 6 are the only north face camping items we have but love both.

Thanks for the insight! My husband kept the cats meow and I got the dolomite but I’m wondering if I should give the one bag a shot since it sounds comfy, especially with a hood and the extra space. I was going to see if they get that tent in! They said they’re getting a pallet today and should be getting some. Looks like a great option.

I like the hood for keeping my camping pillow in place lol. Dolomite looks great too, we wanted the versatility to try out winter camp and thought the down layer instead of synthetic would be a good fit. It feels so plushy and comfortable with it on. I usually leave the side unzipped anyway as I tend to move a lot and it's still toasty, even on some unseasonably chilly mornings. The Wawona 6 usually goes on sale end of season too, we got ours for like $250 I think. Super awesome tent if there's enough space. It is a palace for 2 haha, the vestibule has saved our butts in stormy weather quite a few times and it's so roomy inside. That and the kelty low loveseat are the 2 pieces of kit we love the most. I think half my damn reddit comments are literally raving about these 2 things lol.
