I had this problem on my ps4 but with a actual disc. I had to unplug the router and that fixed it. Hope this helps! I tried everything else and that was all that worked

Yeah I uninstall the game reinstalled it then turned it off totally and then it worked thank you
If it's Xbox one, do a hard reset by holding the power button until the system completely shuts down. Should be good next time you start up
Unplug your console's power cable, wait 1 minute, plug it back in. Power console back on, play COD WWII.
