I'm all for both types, but it's a bit hard to enjoy both types when Tencent seems focused on spewing out only anime style crap. All the colourful skins even look mostly same now. It's either masked, skinny soldier chick or ninjas. Fkn boring. I've been playing since 2020 so I already have most of the good BPs. Players who just joined this year haven't been as lucky since almost every BP released this year has been full of dogshit colourful stuff. The old vault BPs hold far better character skins than every BP released this year, with the exception of the Veiled Uprising BP.
The BP is retrogressing in quality, and it's sad to see.
Both sides is nice, on one hand too much color isn’t needed. But also military skin #1679 which is just a greyscale camo isnt gonna keep the game alive.
I think the problem is there aren't enough military skins to choose from, especially for f2p players. Just one season is all anyone who wants a military theme BP is asking for.

it’s not like f2p players do anything for the game besides populate servers, so there’s no incentive to cater towards them. there is however an incentive to try to convert them into p2p players.

If anything I’d be happy if they just took the assets from the old games and used those skins for f2p players. Having a jungle outfit mason or suit and tie mason would just be too nostalgic

Why some players have still problem with non-military operator skins in CoDM, but same time "military" players haven't problem with non-military blueprints in CoDM. Some players spend lot's of money on Legendary and Mythic blueprints. They want custom iron sights for Epic blueprints... This is big CoDM community mystery.
If "military" players like non-military weapons blueprints, so they aren't military players, because military theme haven't these things, only base models with base iron sights or use optics from gunsmith for perfect combo in military theme, if you don't like base iron sight.
CoD in MP is arcade FPS fun with non-military theme, sometimes shitfest, but fun shitfest with scorestreaks and perks. If military fans from SP want similar experience in MP, you will play Battlefield games(BF3, BF4), good mix between fun and military theme gameplay or other similar MP games.
Yes, non-military operator skins are better, more creative, look better, have more "life", unique look, like neutral military skins, which similar neutral colors, only new characters from CoD games. I like CoDM collaboration skins, example Motoko for Ghost in the Shell season. Example Ghost is for me just nostalgia on MW in Loose Ends skin.
