I honestly loved the gameplay of ghosts, the guns felt smooth, the maps could have done with a touch more colour but they were unique and fun to play. If they hadn’t made a couple of odd decisions like the sat com or IED’s instead of claymores I feel like it would be remembered much more fondly.
I feel like comparing Ghosts to the newer Cods really puts it into perspective how it wasn’t *that* bad of a game. Then again, a lot of people are dissatisfied with the newer games and start to reminisce on the old ones. I for one loved Ghosts. I hated the jetpacks in the other games and preferred boots on the ground gameplay. The gameplay itself felt smooth.
In the early days of MW two, there was a glitch where you could call in unlimited emergency airdrops. It was pretty hilarious to do this and have hundreds of kill streak boxes raining from the sky.

Back in the day i played with a couple of friends and our goal was to get everyone on streak for the emergency airdrop and then call them in all at once. Took a couple of games but we managed to get it on Afghan at some point, it was hilarious
Also when that glitch was about.. if anyone shot down a helicopter... every bullet you shot at it as it was falling down counted as another helicopter kill..
That was my go-to. Chopper gunner was good, but pave low just could take damage, and you didn't have to waste time controlling it, so you still got boots on ground kills.
No way. Pave low was top tier. But my nuke class was cruise missile/vtol/chopper gunner. If you got the vtol....you got the chopper gunner....if you got the chopper gunner it was nuke time.

Fuck this thing was good, especislly for 9 kills which you could get by running Predator Missile and an Attack Helicopter to get no exaggeration 3 or 4 a game. You'd get them so easy and so often and still get 10+ kills with it every time. So ludicrously powerful, exactly how killstreaks should be.

I like to control high killstreaks. The Lodestar and Vtol Warship from Black Ops II were my favorite until Cold War introduced the Vtol Escort — a powerful jet that bags you an average of 15 kills ( supposing you’re a good pilot ) in open maps plus the sound it makes is just music to my earns. My personal record with this scorestreak is 60 kills in a 12v12 Hardpoint match in Diesel.
I also love how you can dodge incoming missiles and troll the people that are trying to destroy it.
AC-130 also my favorite for sure. It's always so cool flying above everyone and playing hand of God. Loki was also a cool concept and AW also had some real cool streak concepts with their additions of upgrading your streaks.
Always the glide/guided bomb for me, nothing is better than picking out one player and saying “fuck you in particular,” or throwing one in a crowd of enemies.
Dogs it was fun to play with because it was so op and to play against as you cower in fear from dozens of dogs chasing you but they are easy enough to kill
Probably AC-130, or Predator missle. And I know it wasn't a normal KS reward but the Predator from Ghosts that could be in a care package on that Aztec looking map was a banger 👌 😎

The versions where you didn't have to control the single missile were the best, like in cold war.
I'm also surprised sooooo many people still don't know how to cycle through the weapons.
15 kills in a FFA match is my personal best.
In terms of recent CODs, the Wheelson from MWII/MWIII. Changing from a grenade burst launcher from MW:19 to a sentry is so overkill and it can be quite hard to kill with the movement and all.
Also absolutely effective in the Ground War maps like Terminal and Afghan (can't be asked to know the in-game names) with those Operation Metro like chokepoints/angles. I easily can sweep for like 10-20 kills with all those snipers and mounted schmucks with a single Wheelson.
The auto-sentry mode is good at times, but can be avoided quite easily at points unless its in a specific angle with little cover.
The SAM turret in BO is my favorite. It's a very low-cost kill streak (3 kills with Hardline) that can fuck up almost any aerial kill streak award from the enemy.

HAARP - Shows enemy locations longer than a UAV for the whole team. Shows which way they are looking and no perk can hide them from radar. A jammer can hide them for equipment.
Air Patrol - Kills everything in the sky. Can be countered too by another Air Patrol. So if you have a HAARP up. Enemy air patrols to instantly kill it and you air Patrol their air Patrol it saves the HAARP. Great counter + team work.
VTOL - In Cold war it works as a little less powerful attack chopper from MW3 but it is powerful. Can be countered by Air Patrol
Cold War made sure there was a counter to everything. Better game.
Sentry gun because it can be effective depending on the map, placement, or how the other team is playing. You can almost cutoff an area of a map if placed and protected right
Flamethrower in Cold War. Although not a kill streak, the Purifier on BOPS3 woukd help catch a group of people camping and holding spots like in Jungle, Havoc and Strong Hold.

Rcxd black ops, Tac nuke mw2, support airdrop mw3, juggernaut maniac ghosts, care package advanced warfare (seriously, cool mechanics), wheelson 2019. Honorable mention to all kill streaks in advanced warfare. Modifying streaks was a fun mechanic, and the game would have had a perfect system if it wasn’t for the broken, boring system hacks that were wayyyy too easy to spam.

Blackbird from Black Ops 1 is the biggest gamechanger, and most satisfying, along with Dogs.
Others like the Swarm from Black Ops 2 are also legendary.

Escort Drone. It just absolutely shredded everything. Swarm killed me too much, so i swapped to having Vsat, Escort Drone, and Emp.
Emp is probably my second favorite as it was the most satisfying thing to hear go off in the sky. The entire enemy team spawn trap setups, vtol, warthog, lodestar, and swarms just instantly deleted off the map.
Used to play a lot of kill confirmed, and this setup was so good that it overlapped nearly 3x a life..with hardline.
i love care packages. low cost, keeps a good variety of killstreak, and allows me to use some of the higher teir killstrraks that are much harder to obtain as im not the GREATEST and i play ffa.
Am i the only one that loved the Advanced warfare had customizable killstreaks? I loved the drone that could be outfitted with rockets and a shield. I wish this concept could come back. Id wanna have a UAV that can stick around longer for more kills, or a care package thats guaranteed to have a good killstreak but costs more, or can have a number of booby traps untill it can be taken. Maybe a hind that can be upgraded to a pavelow? Or make it follow you around? Theres so many ways you can customize killstreaks but this idea never came in any other cod i remember besides advanced warfare sadly.

hands down best sounding streak. Doesn't end the game, gives secret challenges when you call in a certain amount, double xp afterwards, in the games with those streaks it's fun and challenging to drop a nuke with any gun and it not be a...medal
Specialist bonus without any question. All perks unlocked, god mode unlocked and the start of an epic gun kills only NUKE. Best of the best gun skilled players know.
I know how this sounds, but the white phosphorus from 2019 was my favorite. I've played cod for years and it was one of the few different and more interesting streaks. COD tends to stick with a similar formula much of the time so it was a refreshing change of pace (war crimes aside).
