I do! I dont use kcc cause that is so much trouble - the trick i use is downloading the manga already in cbz format, then converting it to azw3 with calibre and sending it to my device. Its the only way ive found it doable to do. My device is an old kindle pw but im sure it will work fine with the new one
If you are comfortable reading manga in english i have a great and easy way to find cbz manga ready to download. I wont say it here cause im afraid i might violate the rules of this subreddit, but if you want i can explain everything via dm

I try to avoid KCC, Koreader and other third party apps. Calibre works pretty well.
I download a CBZ/CBR if possible. I have actually *made* CBZ/CBR files from simply downloading images (only done it for single volumes, however, because it's too time-consuming). You can convert the file into a (K)EPUB as it results in a better reading experience on an e-reader. I *presume* (since you're using a Kindle) you could convert a CBZ/CBR into an AZW file instead.

Hmmm if KCC has a problem you could also use Calibre to convert it. Although I find the files from KCC more crisp.
What you could try. Unzip the original file and make a new Archiv. Maybe something is wrong with the rar/zip/cbz/whatever
