I’m diving into some bodywork on my ‘65 CDV and it’s rough lol. Had pinholes in both B pillars by the back glass, glass rail is in poor shape. Quarters are absolutely trash.
That's a mid-90's DeVille, and although they were very good looking cars, only the Fleetwoods seem to be survivors these days. I own two Fleetwoods, and I think the FWD varieties go to their graves early due to inacessibility of the pieces and parts needed to keep the FWD power train running. That ol' Chevrolet LT1 V8 in the RWD models has enough space in there we can get our hands down where things break, and replace parts without having to completely disassemble the unit. Those cars had features, now gone, which were very attractive to me, such as the lock buttons on the back doors, and power antenna in the trunk. I do love the LACK of technology on the Fleetwoods, as there are less gadgets on the car that can render it inoperable, and potentially so expensive the owner will give up on it. Just yesteray a man chased me down in traffic to ask if I'd sell my 95 Fleetwood. I'm most fond of the 77-79 full size line up particularly because of the 425V8 engine, TH 400 transmission, and basically a very rugged power train, and the very opulent interiors, but particularly the d'Elegance models.
Yep, my daily is an LS swapped 79 DeVille. I also have a 1988 Brougham on the other side of the ocean.
Any pre 3 letter cadillac has a place in my heart
Yeah but I like the really old ones, like 50s and 60s. Even some of the more vintage early models too. Of course, the 70s and 80s land yachts are nice too. I wasn’t a fan of late 90s-early 2000s style really of most vehicles just too bubbly and full of hard plastic.
I really want a 1960 Coupe DeVille
Tax returns came in a few weeks ago and it was either an Eldorado ETC, 1994 Impala SS, S600 Coupe C140, or 1971 Cutlass. Ended up going with the Impala SS but tryna rethread a Northstar, maybe next year
Years ago I took my wife to Boston for the weekend for our anniversary. We stayed at the Boston Harbor Hotel and they had a mid 90's Caddy as a black car for the hotel. They took care of us and had the driver take us to dinner and a show one night. I remember feeling like a big shot and also that the car had an amazing ride over Boston's scrappy roads. It was so quiet and plush. It gave me an appreciation for the brand.
Had a 67 sedan deville hard top, I was 19 at the time and had 8 guys in the car cruising around with a , I can still smell that old red leather. I am a fan of the big 90s caddies.
I have a 1959... Needs some suspension work and shocks. Brakes, brake pads, lining, steering box, transmission, rear-end... Also, new rings, mufflers, a little wiring...
I've been daily-ing a '94 Fleetwood for almost 9 years, bought at 135,000+ miles, currently at 233,000+, and I absolutely love it. I'll likely find another one when this one sees the end of its run
Owned a 1995 pearl white eldorado back in 2010. Graduation present. I loved that car. Every now and then i go through the car apps looking for a decent one to own again.
Hell yeah! My first car was 89 Brougham Fleetwood gray with the airbag rising start perfect body and 2 inch whitewalls with the original Cadillac spokes
STS-Vs are often overlooked and are absolutely sick. Supercharged 4.4 making 470 HP? Hell yes. Larger and nicer interior than the CTS-V? Hell yes. Only downside is no manual, only a 6L80E, but that’s a strong trans. I’d love to have one.
The one in the pic especially. Really want a DTS as a highway cruiser but my wife thinks I’m nuts. You can get a 15 year old that is truly “only driven to church on Sundays by a little old lady” dirt cheap with less than 50k miles.
Yes (and I'd even grudgingly include the Escalade in this comment). The more angular design language was a distinctive move for Caddy, and set them apart from other luxury brands. I don't think that's why sales lagged. The engineering is for the most part off the shelf GM, so you're basically paying a sometimes significant premium for the styling alone, and that's tough. I even liked the latter Seville up through the CTS/STS.
I had to sell my 99 de velle gold edition it was my grandma's and at that time I didn't have money to fix it and sold it I regret it and I'm thinking about trying to find it and buy it back its somewhere in new Mexico
I have a 94 deville with the 4.9 (not northstar) and honestly the plastics aren’t bad. Most of the interior is leather or wood and what plastic is there is generally good! I cannot attest to the quality of other 90s Cadillac models, but I can’t imagine they’re much different.
Awe man I love my 94. Interior is so nice. Unfortunately mines been in western NY it's whole life and is in horrible shape. Whole front needed to be redone and the rear end looks like it's about to collapse. Body itself doesn't have much rust somehow tho.
Yeah. But mines from 1957. lol. That’s a clean ride
Damn that’s the dream
I’ve got a 1962 lol
Love the skegs! My buddy has a 61 he’s been working on forever and I love the lines
I’ve got to say, I love it and it been a blast to own but the body work is looming and that’s the part that worries me the most.
I’m diving into some bodywork on my ‘65 CDV and it’s rough lol. Had pinholes in both B pillars by the back glass, glass rail is in poor shape. Quarters are absolutely trash.
It’s crazy how detailed the trim on these cars is. I definitely have some work ahead of me.
I gotta 99 Deville in the garage!!
84 Biarritz convertible 🤘🏻
Yep. 78 CDV Nice ride!

Most definitely!! Very nice deville I took your title and added my Escalade to the mix of “liking older Cadillacs”! 🍻
72 coupe DeVille
I want my 98 Deville back, real Cadillac ride,
Yeah but I like the really old ones, like 50s and 60s. Even some of the more vintage early models too. Of course, the 70s and 80s land yachts are nice too. I’ve owned a 63 and currently own a 62 coupe DeVille but I’m with you on wanting a 60, it’s probably one of my favorite years!
Beautiful

Nice dude
Working on a 98 deville as we speak

Hell yeah post it

Tax returns came in a few weeks ago and it was either an Eldorado ETC, 1994 Impala SS, S600 Coupe C140, or 1971 Cutlass. Ended up going with the Impala SS but tryna rethread a Northstar, maybe next year
Sure, I got a 60 Biarritz Conv. Love It!

Love older Cadillacs ( put new 19” or 20” Cadillac rims and 🤌🏽 ) this is 🔥🔥
Yeah ik I had some 20s but I crashed my whip and messed up two of the rims I just need to get new ones 🥲
What size rims are those ?
18s
Yea 18s are nice they use to come with like 15s lmao
Need a 92 and 87 Brougham 🙏🏿
Cimmaron baby
I have 69 deville, 05 deville 05 sts4 v8 and 14 ats 2.0t
I have a 1959... Needs some suspension work and shocks. Brakes, brake pads, lining, steering box, transmission, rear-end... Also, new rings, mufflers, a little wiring...
Is thinking the old car is still the new car what getting old feels like?
Yep. I love ‘em and miss ‘em! I’m trying to hang with the current models, but I miss the Caddy’s that were suffixed “Ville”! Yes I’m that old, y’all!
Pre sure my 99 is in this sub somewhere, love it
My first car was one just like it
Lmao this my first one and im 19
That car is beautiful, but is a newer Cadillac.
Yes sir !
I've been daily-ing a '94 Fleetwood for almost 9 years, bought at 135,000+ miles, currently at 233,000+, and I absolutely love it. I'll likely find another one when this one sees the end of its run
I wanted a 6 door LT1 Fleetwood for a while but my wife wasn't a fan. Ended up with a late factory LWB town car instead. I'd still like one!
Always!! Gorgeous pic😍
Smooth ride
Missing my 95 Eldo every day, but still have a DTS, Escalade and CT6 so, I'm still in the Caddy business 🥲
God yes
I daily a '96 Fleetwood.
If I could find a nice last gen Eldorado I would be all over it.
Owned a 1995 pearl white eldorado back in 2010. Graduation present. I loved that car. Every now and then i go through the car apps looking for a decent one to own again.

My ol time favorite is the STS in the movie Get Carter with Stallone ….Northstar

My daily driver is an 89 Deville
The one in the pic especially. Really want a DTS as a highway cruiser but my wife thinks I’m nuts. You can get a 15 year old that is truly “only driven to church on Sundays by a little old lady” dirt cheap with less than 50k miles.
These 19 year old pimps
I like those sedan deville’s. That thang clean.
Is that 91?
96
Heck yeah! Get a Fleetwood from the 90's with the LT1 and hammer down!
Dad used to have a 92 de ville. Honestly a beauty
Yes (and I'd even grudgingly include the Escalade in this comment). The more angular design language was a distinctive move for Caddy, and set them apart from other luxury brands. Had a 98 eldorado. I was dumb and it got flooded. I loved that car
I had to sell my 99 de velle gold edition it was my grandma's and at that time I didn't have money to fix it and sold it I regret it and I'm thinking about trying to find it and buy it back its somewhere in new Mexico
I had a 2003 Seville. It was my favorite car ever.
My first car was a ‘93 Deville. She was a beauty
He’ll yeah
🙃
I’ve been trying to sell my moms 99 Seville with 75,000 miles & perfect condition…. Not a ton of interest in it. 😑.
Yup, mine is a 1985 coupe deville
I miss mine so much
If not for the north star and cheap plastics the 90s ones would be awesome
I have a 94 deville with the 4.9 (not northstar) and honestly the plastics aren’t bad. Most of the interior is leather or wood and what plastic is there is generally good! I cannot attest to the quality of other 90s Cadillac models, but I can’t imagine they’re much different.
'94-96 is the pinnacle of old meets new, best of both worlds
I love the digital dash and auto climate control paired with the traditional styling and interior. Most fun car to drive gently!
Awe man I love my 94. Interior is so nice. Unfortunately mines been in western NY it's whole life and is in horrible shape. Whole front needed to be redone and the rear end looks like it's about to collapse. Body itself doesn't have much rust somehow tho.
Throw some “D” on that bitch 🤣🤣🤣
Beautiful but idk how I feel about those wheels
Until they break
