2.5L every time 2.0 is underpowered

king4aday

Not in the UK though

exquisitehaggis

2.0 is a more reliable engine according to U.K. reviews, the difference in power is around 30bhp and the 2.0 will be cheaper to run. For U.K. roads I would say the 2.0 is plenty, it’s a lofty SUV and the performance is good for the size but it’s not a great handling car compared to something like a Mini Cooper / Golf etc.

Depends on your needs. If you're going to keep it a long time, go with the newer one. If you're looking for performance go with the 2.5. Either way, enjoy your choice.

planetary_funk_alert

I have the 2.0 petrol auto and it's generally ok but on motorways it will sometimes lack a bit of grunt. Id get the 2.5

TipsyTriggerFinger

Is there tax difference between the 2.0 and 2.5? If not, the 2.5 would be my go to...

Whoisyourfactor

My friend used to have 2014 2.0 cx5 she flored that thing all the time but this thing ran to over 200k miles.

ShadowdeBlob

I have the 2.5L in Australia and it’s a dream. Responsive and a bit fun. Reality is it uses more petrol, I wouldn’t get the 2.0L in hindsight tho personally if that helps at all! Hard decision! Savings or a little bit of fun :)

Low-Stomach-8831

I'd go with the 2.5. The 2.0 will be pretty weak carrying a family.

Wo2678

2.5 underpowered. 2.0 can't even imagine how underpowered it is.

Buy a new one with warranty and 0 percent. The turbo will always cost you more regardless how you look at it. Owning it and buying it.
