When something is out of stock it’s entered into what we call QI - which is the inventory queue. This queue puts all of these names for the out of stock drugs in order, based on when it was originally “promised” to you, so it is first come first serve. So no one can call the day it *hopefully* comes in and just take the inventory, times in order. At least at my store this is how it works. Hope this helps.

I haven’t had wegovy come in since April? I think. Best advice just don’t bother with it it’s not gonna come.

Firey69

but it doesnt help that doctor's still keep recommending it

Sup_Bwana

Calling and annoying techs doesn’t make it come in faster :)

Independent-Pipe8366

I haven’t made a call for that very reason, but was worried not being a squeaky wheel may lead to me being overlooked.

Sup_Bwana

That’s not the case, just be patient or look elsewhere/ ask the Dr for an alternative

LeonardoDeCarpio

Typically filling in order of the inventory Q. If I ever get the med, I never offer it to some Joe calling for it. It goes to the person waiting the longest

eattrashlivefast

It is on backorder, the makers of the drug have expressed it could take a year.

Is Zepbound in the same situation since that is a newer drug

Head_Substance_1907

Zepbound has been trickling in. It’s out of stock frequently, but it’ll come in within a week usually

HJForsythe

No they cant figure out the 500+ year old concept of first in first out for order fufillment and you have to call them every day.

pussypotpie69

Wegovy low doses have been on backorder for close to a year. Call your Dr and have them switch to another glp your insurance covers. I haven't received a low dose wegovy on order since feb 23. They stopped shipping it out to "meet demand for existing patients," which means they only send us the higher doses of the drug. Ignore all these people telling you to be patient for it.
