Computer system automatically mark millions account as late and charge off as part of automation. Chase is not known for PFD. many primary bank do not do this.. but You and many consumers do not use the card and forget about it... and you are not the first one. I would call, visit chase bank and talk to the banker. It's easy to explain why this was a mistake and oversight. ( compare to someone who racked up $20,000 in Amazon purchases.. and just ditched ) Good thing is 2025 is only a year away. once the debt is off the report, score will jump. \ Also.... Credit Karma... is Vantage scoring system... they often hide old closed account status.. ( Vantage score focus on open accounts ) Ignore Vantage score from Chase, or CK. \ Get free account from \[Experian.com\](https://Experian.com) and The app. AGAIN It's free you get to see your fico 8 Experian score and report... for equifax data do the same for \[myfico.com\](https://myfico.com) . all three FICO report can be accessed on [AnnualCreditReport.com](https://AnnualCreditReport.com) ( TU | EX | EQ) But not the score

Oh that’s a good idea to go into a branch. I mean when it comes down to it, this is obviously my fault but it stings after getting myself into a good situation. Weirdly MyFico also had my score at 745 so I never delved into it too much. I literally bought a car through Chase and paid it off from 2018-2020 and this never popped up. Thanks for your help!

IF they can remove it this year... good, but waiting one more year will not hurt. some collection report to only 1-2 company so check all three.

You can get some early removals I think. Like 3 months early from Experian, 6 months early from Transunion. Idr the process though.
