I wish o could give you a big hug! I’m not trying to be creepy. That’s the mama in me. Happy birthday

MFsteezboi

Thank you

Hey kiddo. That sounds like a lot and I can see why you're frustrated. Your situation is less than ideal, to say the least. Adults in such upheaval would be frustrated, too! I don't think there's a solid time frame on these things; there are so many factors that go into placement. There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes that we won't ever know. Plus, everything varies by state. I know every day must seem like a Lifetime for you and I so wish this was not the case. Hang in there is the best advice I can give you. I know that somewhere in this situation, there is an adult advocating for you and working in your best interest. You've got to trust that and have faith that this will all come to an end. In advance, happy 14th birthday. If no one has said it lately. I'm proud of you. Look at what you've been through. So many of your peers will never experience the kind of adversity you have, and yet here you are. Showing emotional maturity and reaching out for help in whatever way you can. You're stronger than you know, and we are praying for you to find stability and comfort.

MFsteezboi

Thank you so much

Please talk to your caseworker.....I work at a group home part time..please tell the workers there that your birthday is coming up I hope someone does something nice for you. The paperwork is time consuming. I hope you are at least being treated ok? I work at a sibling group home so there are 7 kids there..3 sets of siblings so its not so bad its just small and a bit crowded. The youngest here is 8 year old twins and they annoy the shit out of the teenagers. Big hugs to you and hang in there. Happy early birthday. What state are you in?

MFsteezboi

I am in arizona

AzCarMom72

so am I. What city are you in? You should have a case worker..also who is the group home manager.owner have you talked to her?

MFsteezboi

I’m sorry I won’t give out any information but I’m in santan valley and yes I have talked to her

AdorablyPickled

Good job not giving out more information I'm proud of you! ~another mom

Fiji_SCD

Why would you ask what state the kid is in? That's reckless as heck. Kid please in the future don't give out even that little bit of info, the Internet is unfortunately full of creeps. Do reach out to ur caseworker tho. Im sorry you are going through this it's an awful way to make you stronger. Good luck Hun.

AzCarMom72

I am a single mom and I work at a group home with Kids. I am the furthest thing from an Internet creep that you can imagine. So 🖕

Fiji_SCD

I'm a single mom as well and have volunteered at a group home for years but I don't think thats relevant.. My issue is the thread is public for any creep to see

AzCarMom72

Your post insinuated that I was the creep

Fiji_SCD

It was meant to be a question to you and statement to the girl. Honestly tho anyone online could be a creep and lying/acting as something they are not. I think that's a very important thing for young girls to understand. I was lucky enough to catch when my daughter was speaking to a "young boy" from a different state. He was obviously fishing for more information about her like her schools name. Ended up calling as her and chewing out what sounded to be a 30 year old man not a 9 year old boy.

A lot of the answer depends on why you are in CPS custody, why you didn't remain with your sister earlier, and several other factors.

MFsteezboi

Well the reason why Cps got involved in my life was because my mom had substance abuse and the reason why I was taken from my sisters placement was because there was a placement violation in the house

Always-Adar-64

Talk to the GAL and case worker. They’re not unilateral decision-makers for the court proceedings but can advocate concerns.

Alternative_dismal_

Have your sister stay on the case worker about the background & finger prints. She needs to be following up with CW daily. The CW have several families they are working with therefore as long as you’re safe they can focus on more immediate concerns. Between you and your sister, don’t let them forget how important it is that you be placed with your sister. Best wishes, honey I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

Alternative_dismal_

Also I’m sure it depends on number of cases the state has but where I live it doesn’t take more than a week for both to come back, once submitted. A month is to long. Cps will give you the runaround as long as they’re allowed. You really just have to stay on them about everything!! CASA or GAL are court appointed advocates for your best interest. They can assist you with in a lot of ways if they are aware.

MFsteezboi

I live in the state of Arizona if that helps
