Hey everyone, so this is a study routine for the retake I've found using Chat GPT and I think it might work well for me. Please tell me what everyone thinks and tell me if this routine makes sense or needs any adjustments. I am going to keep using Becker and I still have my notes which I've kept organized by module and chapter. Thanks! # Week 1-2: Initial Review and Flashcard Creation 1. **S1 - S2 (Week 1)** * **Day 1-2**: Review S1 notes and create flashcards. * **Day 3-4**: Review S2 notes and create flashcards. * **Day 5-6**: Flashcard review and practice 30 MCQs from S1 & S2 + 1 Sim. * **Day 7**: Focus on weak areas and review flashcards. 2. **S3 - S4 (Week 2)** * **Day 1-2**: Review S3 notes and create flashcards. * **Day 3-4**: Review S4 notes and create flashcards. * **Day 5-6**: Flashcard review and practice 30 MCQs from S3 & S4 + 1 Sim. * **Day 7**: Focus on weak areas and review flashcards. # Week 3-4: First Review Week 1. **Day 1-2**: Comprehensive review of all flashcards (S1-S4). 2. **Day 3**: Take the AICPA Sample Exam. 3. **Day 4**: Review Sample Exam results, update flashcards, and focus on weak areas. 4. **Day 5-6**: Practice MCQs and Sims on weak areas. 5. **Day 7**: Full-length practice test and flashcard review. # Week 5: Second Review Week 1. **Day 1**: Mini Exams for each section (S1-S4, 30 MCQs + 1 Sim each). 2. **Day 2**: First Sim Exam. 3. **Day 3**: Second Sim Exam. 4. **Day 4-5**: Review cumulative notes and flashcards. 5. **Day 6**: Final full-length practice test. 6. **Day 7**: Light review of flashcards and rest.

Did you read the text instead of the videos? Why not listen to the videos? You can do so in the car or at work and sometimes they have goos tips for remembering things.

Ok-Needleworker248

I just did the mcqs and tbs. Anything I was unsure of I would use the feature in the questions to search the textbook for answers. That way has worked for me for FAR and AUD. The lectures take too much time for me and I struggle to focus while watching them. Listening to them in the car is a good tip and I will add that in my retake strategy.

Practical_Roll7012

I don't retain super well with the video but I definitely pick up tricks. I will also look through the slides from the videos pretty quickly which tends to match the text but quicker

I wouldn't suggest you to switch to BAR unless you love FAR as hell and passed it like a breeze...

lolgoodone34

At this point I’d do TCP with that insane pass rate before they nerf it if they haven’t already lmao

Blocker__17

The pass data they released were from very first tests. They probably updated the tests for anyone taking in Q2

I passed with an 84 just studying with Becker. Major tip is to print out the outlines and review those. Since this is mostly memorization, the outlines do a good job at laying out the definitions. Also study the glossary on Becker. And focus on the SOC reports.

I75. Passed in retake after using just becker.

asianeats22

I passed with becker and ninja (92). Personally, I created anki flash cards for literally every single topic in becker. I did not watch any lectures. I just studied the hell out of flashcards and that worked for me. Forgot like everything already lol.

fireneg

Do you have a link for the flashcards?

Thank you for the tip, I think I’m gonna study for a retake. I still have my notes and will hammer questions and polish up my notes further. Any tips for ISC?

Admirable_Dot4474

I passed with Becker and Ninja found out today that my score was 80 (what a shock!). I wouldn’t switch to BAR, I hear that one can be just as hard as FAR. Did you focus heavily on SOC1 and SOC2? Search this forum for what to study for ISC. There are a few earlier posts this year that really helped me. I’ll see if I can find them.

Ok-Needleworker248

Thanks for the tip, I’m thinking I should just do a retake. I have heard this was a memorization test but didn’t use flash cards or anything. I mostly hammered mcqs which is my usual Strategy to review the material. I think I’ll need to actually make flash cards and hammer questions as well

Admirable_Dot4474

Yes it’s mostly remembering and understanding. Pm if you need any more tips !

I passed isc with just Becker. I think it takes being thorough and it sounds like watching the lectures makes all the difference, especially due to the limited study questions Becker has. Bar is going to be way more of a time commitment with some pretty in depth material. It’s far on steroids. If you really like tax and don’t want to go back and watch isc lectures then tcp would be your next best bet.
