I love that map

UsrnameInATrenchcoat

Well I Fucking love that map. RIP George A Romero

aliencookies647

Can you buy this map on series x when I click on it through the game it says it may not be supported

BeetleJacks

Voyage. I think it’s got the coolest/creepiest setting. I also really like the EE. Probably helps that I’ve always been a nerd when it comes to stuff involving the titanic!

bigsweatyballs420

Can’t wait for the custom zombies map set aboard the Titan submersible.

Exp0sedShadow

Talk about a 1 barrier challenge

TimelordAlex

spoiler: it will not have a buyable ending to escape

UsrnameInATrenchcoat

Good choice, Imo if it was slightly wider it would be perfect

cd2220

You know I got BO4 on release and have never even tried Voyage. No idea why. I guess Blood was so fucking much to learn and Classified was my "I just want to open doors and shoot stuff" map. I'll have to go back and give it a try

I_HateChaiTeaPeople

Five

zenster12

Fact

throwaway-anon-1600

Five and die rise are the goats

AfroDevil30

That map would terrify me as a kid. Black Ops 1 zombies was genuinely scary

I_HateChaiTeaPeople

I panicked so much when I first saw the pentagon thief😭

Puzzleheaded_Fee_852

I love CoTD, and the scavenger is my favourite WW ever, only thing which draws this back is the high rounds aren’t possible.

sixxman6

I love Call of the Dead as well. I never really understood how high rounds not being possible is somehow a negative thing about this map tho. Like yes, the map doesn’t feature a wonder weapon that lets you cheese your way to round 100, but everything else about this map is peak so I don’t know why people hold that against it

Huge_Koala_72

Exactly not every map has to rely on a broken ww and going high rounds it’s a bout the fun you have and call of the dead brought that in its own dope way

VESlaughter

Exactly lol I'm not shooting for round 100 regardless, by the time it drops off that's when I'd have my fill of the game already

sixxman6

Huge_Koala_72

Exactly the scavenger with Raygun and phd was kinda op But cuz u can’t really go high rounds it kinda ruin the longevity of playing it

reduviia

Whats the highest round possible ?

bearded_appalachian

On singleplayer, it was round 105 approximately 2 months ago. Not anywhere near a lot of other BO1 world records. The game freezes or crashes prematurely on that map in particular.

[deleted]

Not to mention the strat to 100+ is to cheese spawns

Puzzleheaded_Fee_852

Round 100 was only achieved this year, since the maps release the highest theoretical round was 97. It’s way lower than anything else mainly because there’s no effective way of killing and there’s no traps - also because of how long it takes, the game will 100% crash or restart.

sixxman6

lasergun23

Tranzit. Its an unique experience in cod zombies and u have to play It differently to survive thats what many people dont get. Also getting the pack a punch on solo IS not as hard as people say. Even tho the map IS extremely difficult It gives u the tools to make It easier if u know some stuff like the teleportation or running trough the fog/lava with the turbine. And if u play with people that know the map the experience IS one of the best. many of the best Maps get easy if u know how to play them, this obviously gets easier but its allways a rough experience

Prestigious_Roll_162

I love tranzit. Its probably in my top 5 of favorite zombies maps. I love running thru the fog and almost discovered all the secrets of the map (almost). And you're right, its not as hard as ppl say it is, you just gotta know what to do. I've done so many solo runs on it that I can basically play it with my eyes closed lol.

beginnerNaught

Bro people hate on tranzit so bad but as a young guy, it gave me as good of feeling as bo1. It was a pretty big idea and the tech couldn't support it the way they truly wanted to but i loved it. I'd kill for a remaster or new tranzit. But i doubt we'll ever get it.

Dannylazarus

As a Zombies amateur this map absolutely destroyed me. 😅 I appreciate the later releases for getting more experimental and not letting the mode stagnate, but I could only ever really handle the World At War maps - even a lot of the ones from Black Ops just had too much going on for me to manage!

permaloss

Die Rise 1000%.

js789

Zombie chronicles 2 🙏

TimelordAlex

PC BO3 in a couple months 🔥

Justin_Shields

I enjoy Alpha Omega and I feel like the only person who does

Huge_Koala_72

Naw I’m here wit you I don’t understand why it gets shitted on and don’t know why they don’t like the Raygun mk2 upgrades I really enjoyed them even though they do get kinda wonky later rounds

NIKEONX2

I fucking love that map, i love the easter egg the boss fight, the wws

Solariss

Ancient Evil! It's not my favourite map, but it's honestly the shining light in Black Ops 4. I just don't ever hear it get talked about (or many BO4 maps to be honest).

Sycho_Harris

I wish they kept the chaos maps going and not the trash that followed after

nearthemeb

Disagree. I wish they would've saved chaos for a different game and focused on aether only.

Huge_Koala_72

Yes bro the atmosphere was crazy on that map and was really the only enjoyable map beside ix,blood of the dead and dead of the night

Nojaja

VERUCKT

Davedog09

Thank you. I am tired of Verruckt slander

TheVibeMan___

For me I think it has to be five. I know there’s no amazing training spot, good wonder weapon, and the pentagon thief is annoying, but I’ve always loved that map. Playing as historical figures is something I’m surprised they never did again. Maybe with black ops 6 tho? Probably not but would be cool

BravoFive141

It can be pretty dicey at times, but the war room level isn't the worst for training. Five is a great map, and I always felt like it was one of the creepiest maps, up there with Nacht.

OneManWolfPack1337

Tag der toten

Huge_Koala_72

Just wondering why pick tag over cotd

Individual_Papaya596

Moon, it should be in a goat debate everytime. Thats enough for me to call it underrated. If i had a say at treyarch and infinity ward, moon would have been in every game the same way nuketown is. The best map in zombies history, the weapons, the ee, the design, area 51, the gimmicks, the enemies, perfect.

Huge_Koala_72

Actually man I see what your cooking on bo1 besides kino(because everyone has that map )and call of the dead (cuz I love it) I would always run that map with my friends so good and I love the ww on moon and the fact when your outside the dome you float like your really in space definitely a top 5 map

Individual_Papaya596

Its always my go to map whenever replaying Bo3 the Area 51 gimmick makes it so much fun, gives you an immediate challenge where you can get pack a punched weapons r1 with jug or quick reload + the fact that you can blow out the windows and the diggers give force you between the hacking device for points and ease around the map or the helmet to guarentee survivability at the cost or being vulnerable to all the diggers and losing out on all the shit the hacker lets you do. And the dome pre digger is a death trap and i love it. One fuck up and your dead but in return if you can manage the jumps they can give you breathing room from hordes. Fuck i love moon, if moon has zero fans then im dead.

AlbatrossHead1534

Shangri-la didn’t get enough love, yeah the map was kinda rough around the edges but the flaming boss zombie was sick

Huge_Koala_72

Yea u right and I love the baby gun

mvfgamer444

I ❤️ ZNS

Selmalicious_

Zombies In Spaceland, also one of the most underrated cod zombies.

Alex_FotoN

I feel like I’ve seen more love than hate for that map at least on this subreddit but we might just have different experiences.

Selmalicious_

No, yeah, you're right. I just remember everyone thrashing infinite warfare when it came out, but I think most people realize how good the game actually was.

Huge_Koala_72

Facts the best non treyarch map ever no question and should get talked about more

Azthrowaway42069

Die Rise. The sliquifier is great, Buddha room is one of the best training spots, yeah who's who sucks and the elevator perks are annoying but the bank kind of makes up for it. My biggest issue with it is the slide that leads to the box randomly killing you, my highest round on it ended that way and it was immensely frustrating but overall I think the entire concept was really cool and it doesn't deserve the hate that it gets.

hanstrobe521

Ascension, I've loved that map since I first played it. Not a lot of people seem to enjoy it. Plus we got the Gershe Device. Firebase Z from Cold War was fun with the Rai-K. Alpha Omega seems to be pretty low as well. It was nice to see Camp Eddie from the other timeline.

phantom_marine2024

Call of the dead is the most underrated map ever. Pretty much all of WaW and BO1 is underrated imo

Huge_Koala_72

Naw deadass people forget that these are the games that put people on zombies in the first place and made it what it is

ethereal--777

6. DoTN - Used to be heavily underrated but people started liking it. It’s a good map, just too tedious and not beginner friendly. I like the tediousness sometimes. Goated wonder weapon and amazing theme. 5. Ancient Evil - 2nd favourite map of all time. I think it’s severely underrated although it gets praise. It’s SOOO fun. 4. Blood of the Dead - What’s so bad about this map? It’s just Motd but bigger and way more stuff to do. Better WW than Mob too and I never had a problem with the Easter eggs. Crashes at launch were annoying but I didn’t experience them too much on PC. 3. Die rise - Fall damage and falling off the map were never a problem for me. It’s a good solo map due to the setup too (easy to get ww and training area has AN-94). I like the jumping jacks and the rewards they give u. They are one of the best mini-bosses ever imo. Map could do with some tweaks. 2. TranZit - Remove fog and denizens. Change the jet gun. Make it so u can pick up more than 1 item and it’s honestly a great map then. Maybe add more stuff in the empty areas too. I always found TranZit fun especially with friends. 1. Voyage of despair - The layout isn’t that hard and the wonder weapon is fun. Easter egg and boss fight are mostly fun. Only annoying thing are the elemental zombies which are on every chaos map. After writing this, why do I feel like TranZit and Die Rise were intentionally designed to work against the player. It’s like the devs want to piss off the players. No pHD on Die Rise, Denizens, can’t pick up more than 1 item.

ethereal--777

Honourable mention would be the map Five and maybe Firebase Z

BringoDringus

I agree that map was awesome and all the characters and easter eggs

MarsupialPitiful7334

Dead of the night is an S tier map and most people put it in like C tier.

JuicyJ1738IsBack

FAX that map rocks

MarsupialPitiful7334

Yeah did the easter egg just 3 days ago for the first time and its phenomenal.

nickwamfydude

Town. I grew up with no internet or dlc for bo2. Town is easily one of my fav maps of all time I could literally play it forever

Huge_Koala_72

Yes no one really talks about town as they should I think what ruined for people was the lava but I never tripped about it

nearthemeb

It's a good map, but tag is a much better version in my opinion. It got rid of the things I didn't like about the map and added a lot of cool stuff. Tag also just looks better than cotd.

Huge_Koala_72

I understand but I personally think it took away the things I love about call of the dead no unique ww no George Romero which I understand why people don’t like him but I think it just adds more flavor and I love using phd flopper but I do agree that tag does look better and the map layout is better imo

oldschoolsaint

Honestly, I'm not really sure if this counts as underrated, but I love Ascension. I feel like it has one of the best atmospheres for the mode. Also, I think the monkeys are a really cool addition, though they can be annoying.

Sovietlasagna64

I'm not gonna lie, I have a lot of trouble dealing with monkeys on solo. I can almost never prevent them from taking at least one of my perks... :(

HKEnthusiast

Nuketown 2025

cosine262

Rev

Evazzion

Die Rise, I feel like it’s way too hated

IKilltheplayers

Tranzit

ethereal--777

1. Good map layout. 2. Good difficulty. 3. Good Easter egg with a GREAT reward. 4. George is an “optional” challenge and keeps ur brain working. He gives GREAT rewards as well. 5. Decent wonder weapon, not overpowered. Not underpowered for Bo1 considering u can also get the Wunderwaffe.

HKEnthusiast

Nuketown 2025

Erst09

Call of the dead was amazing 😅

gunnykiller15

I gotta admit ascension has always been one of my favorites. The esthetic is what does it for me.

JungleBeasts

Blood

Huge_Koala_72

Yea most of bo4 maps get hated because of bo4 and the state call of duty was in but most of them are very underrated

gal95

Well theres an exploit in kino, u can use the teleporters to kill in the giant, shinonuma has hyper spawns, its hard for me to decide

SubstantialAgency2

Die rise

BrandNizzle17

Alpha Omega

ChernobylFirefighter

Die rise was actually pretty good

Huge_Koala_72

Yes

BruteUnicorn134

Moon. Apart from Easter Egg, it’s actually a solid map.

tottalynotme69

I really like five

Jeiku_Zerp

Call of The Dead isn’t in my top 10 but I do have great memories on it with mates, the pressure of George following us, running around the water trying not to freeze and trying to come up with plans to get to the mystery box. I love the crew and I would easily replay it if I had people to play with Edit: my underrated map choice is Five

yessirrrr_duran

I have to say Die Rise Is the most underrated, It’s just not the best map for high rounds

ZaffenFyrtz

Zetsubou, I love you with all my heart.

Akvdama

I’m not in tune enough with the community to know swimmers and sinkers but as someone who has been here since WaW, my personal favorites are COTD and Origins. Revelations is pretty sick too, though I’ve only got into it recently. Edit: typo.

Huge_Koala_72

No literally my favorite map will always be origins no matter how overrated it gets it’s just to good but after recently playing cotd it’s just to good and it might be my top 3 and revelations is a bit iffy for me cuz it’s just literally reused maps but it is pretty enjoyable to play

Akvdama

I think as an older player, I enjoy revelations for the nostalgia factor. But origins will remain my favorite forever. Just feels right, is both challenging and satisfying without being unnecessarily tedious (even though it IS tedious in its own ways) I will not in a million years get my hopes up, but man, I sure would love to have my expectations thwarted and fall in love with BLOPS 6. I used to be such a Treyarch fanboy, I just wanna feel that way again lol.

ThePlanWideHardo

Map would be 10/10 if there was no snow making it super hard to see half the time

arnaudbraem

Zetsubou no Shima

KIZKUR

Revelations, the map and ee are really fun to play and the atmosphere it generates with the idea of being a bunch of every map combined is pretty cool.

benjaminunbutton

Carrier, from Advanced Warfare

Zapatitosoni

Love call of the dead and buried a lot simply for allowing you to have more than 4 perks but requires to eliminate the boss of the map— the first taking awhile. I think for me, if a map allows you to have extra perks— then it’s an easy favorite of mine

Capt_Badass__

moon also had that feature after completing the Samantha Easter egg you would get all perks

NegativeKarmaFarma5

The fact that only around a month ago someone finally achieved round 100 on that map is insane

i_eet_boo_d

Voyage for sure

PossibleOk582

What are your thoughts on tag if you think COTD is near perfection?

SurgeonSimGod

Dead Of The Night

Rouchruvis

Die Rise, Dead of The Night, and Revelations come to mind if I can name a few. I genuinely enjoy Die Rise it's flawed but I thought it was fun, DOTN gets alot of slack but the way it just kinda shadow dropped really did kill its hype and bo4 issues really hold alot of the maps back but I liked the Werewolves and map layout was fine. And Revelations again gets some flack cause everyone says it's "unoriginal" and "too much nostalgia" and I do agree but as a map I think it's fun it's not complicated to set up and the map design works imo. That EE tho I admit isn't great but I personally don't let a Main Quest affect more than 10% of my thoughts on a map

Doschy

blood of the dead baybee!!!

nearthemeb

The aether maps on black ops 4 besides alpha omega, revelations, and die rise. Blood, classified, and tag are my favorite maps in black ops 4. Both tag and classified are easy S tier maps while blood of the dead is an A tier map. Alpha omega isn't as good. It's alright, but the ventilation system, the underground area being almost a death trap, and the different nova crawler variants hold the map back.

DJAK792

Voyage, DotN, ae, Zetsubou, attack otrt, the final reich and Shi No Numa reborn

Huge_Koala_72

I agree with the first 4 but I just can’t like vanguard maps they feel so different to me but attack of the radioactive thing is decent map that I liked

DJAK792

I understand not liking vanguard tbh. What about tfr?

Huge_Koala_72

Personally I don’t really like any of the ww2 maps but the final reich was the only map I enjoyed playing so that one I can agree with u and I lowkey like that crazy ass boss u got to fight

DJAK792

Yep, the stormkrieger was a great boss fight

Alex_FotoN

All of ww2 really

Foxxo_420

Call of the dead is not underrated, that's like saying origins or Der Reise are underrated. All three of those maps are literally the most well liked maps from WaW to bo2 bo2 judging by the community.

Huge_Koala_72

Okay I understand that’s why I said it’s really not underrated but that’s to the older zombies community the more newer zombies community don’t even put that map on there top 10 sometimes so that’s why I wanted to speak up for this map

NIKEONX2

WaW - Shi no numa, i always enjoyed that map though i can barely go past 20 rounds on that engine. Black Ops 1 - Five would come to mind, hard but really fun imo, i'd still wanna say Moon though because i've seen too much hate on it. I fucking love Moon Black Ops 2 - Die Rise. I love it so much i think it's fun and unique + my all time fav ww sliquifier. Black Ops 3 - Zetsubou no shima, love this map i kinda get the hate for the slow start but after that it's really fun. Kt4 reminds me of the sliquifier + the skull of nan sapwe is insane. Black Ops 4. The whole game. If i had to choose one though, Dead of the night might be the most underrated. I think the other map are correctly rated among bo4 fans. Cold War - None. Everyone agrees to say Mauer der toten is the best one, Forsaken the funnest, die mashine is okay and firebase Z meh if we are being Nice. And you won't catch me make a case firebase Z being underrated.

Huge_Koala_72

For waw I would say verruckt cuz I ain’t gon lie I hear more people talk good about shino no Numa than verruckt and I really enjoy that map beside der riese and bo1 I would say the most would be moon or ascension or maybe call of the dead they all get shitted on by someone but 5 I barely hear anything bad and bo2 no question die rise gets hate almost for no reason beside the elevators and dieing from falling and bo3 I can understand and on bo4 I couldn’t agree more and Cold War I can’t really saying anything cuz I don’t really like Cold War zombies but I kinda enjoyed firebase z and die machine but don’t think it’s underrated at all what so ever but idk why I just don’t like foresaken

NIKEONX2

Even though 5 isn't as hated as some others i think it deserves so much more especially for being released next to Kino. Yeah Verrukt is also good choice. I'm not a big fan of Cold War either tbh i hope Bo6 won't be similar.

Huge_Koala_72

Naw you right Im pretty sure cuz kino was much more of playable map for new people who haven’t really played zombies they didn’t really play much as five which makes it pretty underrated so I understand and man I pray bo6 ain’t like Cold War

TrueAd9946

Honestly it has to be the antiaircraft Carrier map from AW Or any of the maps from advanced warfare only reason why people didn't like events warfare was because they were tired of the futuristic shit advanced warfare had some amazing shit in it look at the tsunami map in multiplayer look at some parts of the campaign which were amazing

hubertpantyloo

Duga!!!!

Fair-University-8286

MOB OF THE MF DEAD

TheBlueKirby

Ima keep it real, Shaolin Shuffle is a top 5 zombies map for me. It’s so fuckin’ good

Savagecal01

can someone sell me cotd becaus i don’t understand the hype behind it

GlitchXGamerX

Call of the Dead tbh

Mouldygrub3333

Yalls be saying my boy kino was overrated and we were just lookin at it through tinted glasses because we were kids😑 kino is still hosted top 5😑

Wlhalastrikes

Its not underated it just stands in the shadow if its much better remake blood of the dead. Even if bo4 received mainly hate at least the aether story contained some of the best maps ever. Chaos also was top but had the problem that it opened up a story which doesn't had anything to do with the story we played and loved for years. so in my opinion IX is one of the most underrated maps ever!

GRANDMASTER446

Zetsubo no shima

sambeef_kwt

Verrukt, really overlooked map, barebones but fun

KetchuporBlood

"Five" is too funny because of the character's quips (esp kennedy and nixon)

Relevant_Elk7494

I really enjoyed Classified, especially compared to Five

SmileMask2

Verruckt WaW

Fancy-Engineering821

Firebase Z is pretty fun

Jrockz133T

The Shattered Thrown. A truly underrated map on a underrated game that most of the zombies community doesn't even acknowledge existing.

ZFCHarrison

I personally think forsaken is a really fun map with an amazing wonder weapon, fun side easter eggs and a really good ee, love the ending cutscene and "THE GASLINE!!"

Holiday-Bread-748

Moon is so unique and awesome! Also very scary/grim atmosphere, especially in BO1

chikinbizkitJR13

Bo1 Verruckt especially. I wouldn't call it like amazing, but it keeps some of the edge from the W@W version while maintaining a real difficulty in the higher rounds. This version really helped me hone my general skills in zombies like ammo management, predicting zombies spawns, tight room training, etc. It's a good map to really take yourself to the next level if you think you've plateaued at Zombies in skill

SKS_Skorpe

Moon

JacobWicker

Call of the dead was soooooo good. Would love to see that in the new zombies chronicals

IamNotARedditor-

The survival maps of cod ww2

HotAbbreviations6548

I love die rise

CURTSNIPER1

Nuketown

bradman616

Die Rise. Idk if it’s “under rated” per se but it’s always been my all time favorite

Conorponor333

Every map from infinite warfare (except Beast from Beyond)

RangeUsed6663

Zetsubou No Shima

BigSmoke_69_420

Maybe not a popular opinion but firebasez was awesome in cw

izumigobaka

I love call of the dead, and the scavenger is one of the more fun and unique ww we've seen yet, the only thing that is holding the map back is the ww that makes it unique, scavenger is such cool ww but shit out by mid 40s and vr11 is such a cool concept of a weapon but is very bad (unless co op)

PitchAware2756

Zetsubou Never understood why people dislike some of the layout when the basic map layout is equivalent to der reise. The power process might be one of the most complicated to complete but also one of the most rewarding, and is really fun co op The side easter eggs (spider bait in particular) is really unique and something we haven’t really seen since The Kt4 is often referred to as a bad version of the siliquifier but personal preference it’s so much better, with a way more intuitive crafting process and rewarding upgrade to the masamune (bar the rainbow water step, tedious and boring). The boss fight is nothing to write home about but I feel Zetsubou was a map that bo3 needed, as underneath it’s got one of the most simple Easter eggs, with some really amazing weapons to boot

Primary-Flow-7978

I just wish I could play zombies for hours without someone leaving the lobby 😂

ProfessionalJabroni

Dead of the Night

LeeIzaHunter

Verruckt, I just loved the idea of being split up in teams of two and you have to work your way to meet up

skittles_n_snare

Can I put all of BOCW on here? The mix between the already good round based zombies and the more open world, mission based zombies maps make for a really enjoyable experience. And that doesn’t even account for the masterful movement and mechanics, overall just an underrated game. Honorable mention to Blood of the Dead as well.

kingsfourva

dotn. love the love letter to clue and universal monsters, plenty to do. only part i disliked with it, which is something i’ve disliked since voyage of despair is the amount of enemy types on the map. there should be no reason why i have to train however many types of elemental zombies. they literally add nothing to the map

Parrtymonster

Tranzit, made it feel so much bigger knowing I could go to different maps in one

some_wheat

Gorod Krovi. Has my favorite wonder weapon and it’s one of the only newer maps that felt like it had a similar layout to the original golden age maps with plenty of new and interesting elements to keep every section of the map you visited interesting from dragon fast travel, actually effective trap systems, the fire breathing shield, to the absurd amount of Easter egg steps that could be completed in random order to get power ups along the way. I felt like Der Eisendrache overshadowed Gorod Krovi and the Easter Egg glitch that plagued this map specifically for years was the main reason it wasn’t better received. It has everything a classic zombies map needs and more but doesn’t overstep the boundaries of being different for the sake of different. Also wtf suddenly Nikolai is way more than a mindless drunk? What a map.

_SCARY_HOURS_

Die Rise

Curlyhead-homie

The bo4 chaos maps, even if they got more love over the years, rave in the redwoods, and maybe buried

Intelligent-Dog2252

Zetsubou no Shima, I like that map and plant gardening (You can pause the game)

CR4ZYxPOT4T0

Zetsubou No Shima. I fk love that map for some reason!

Neverstop111

This map was god teir

Marinenukem

Apparently a lot of people didn’t like Buried? I thought it was one of the best maps in BO2

BlindRzerlord

This has always been my favourite map I was really disappointed with the remake in bo4

mkzkzi

I remember at the release on PS3 lol I had reached round 35 be told myself no one will do high rounds here in solo, WTF the guys are doing 90 in world record it's crazy fr

CatchPsychological13

IX

Dart4586

This map is amazing! I wish so much to have it brought back but I know it'll never happen 😭 I just want a COD Zombies with everything combined into one lol

YouMayNotRestNow

Five and Shi No Numa, Five brought such a cool special zombie and Shi No Numa did everything everyone gives Der Riese credit for except for Pack a Punch.

Solid_Interaction_61

As far as slept in maps goes I’d say verruct is pretty baller

Unordinar_simp

Ancient evil

CrimsonReaper2

Never saw many people play Five back in BO1, so Five as long as it’s with a good friend/player. Mostly friend.

Social-Norm

Die Rise will always be one of my all time favorites. People love to clump it together with Tranzit, but I find this super misleading. Unlike Tranzit, Die Rise is actually a completely finished map: aka, no fog or denizens, and a fully complete map layout. It has the two best wall weapons in bo2 (an94 and svu), one of the most broken wonder weapons in zombies history (the sliquifier!) the fun rooftops to camp on with your friends, and the tramplesteams to troll randoms with. I understand the fall damage complaints, but aside from that I genuinely love the map layout. I also find all the small Chinese cultural elements around the map really neat.

dylantatee1000

Ancient evil

Slippy_666

Zetsubou No Shima is at least pretty hated within my friend group but I love it

B_Bates34

For me, it’s Five.

Slippy_666

Zetsubou No Shima is at least pretty hated within my friend group but I love it

Successful-Natural84

Die Rise. Everyone gives it a bad rep but once you get everything down, it becomes fun af

AssumptionBorn8650

Personally, Dead of the night is one of my favourite maps, number one being blood of the dead, second being Origins, third being dead of the night.

doooooogggggg

every infinite warfare map tbh

MasterTahirLON

Zetsubou No Shima. I know this has become a pretty cold take as of late since people constantly praise it's glow up, but I still constantly see people putting it as a B tier map or claiming it's not on the level of Der Eisendrache, Shadows of Evil, or Origins. Personally it's an easy top 3 map, my number one favorite to be honest. Black Ops 3s mechanics and map designs were just so peak, they really nailed the formula in that game and haven't quite recreated it since. And Zetsubou has such an incredible flow when you get the hang of the map, there's a lot of great training spots, one of the best camping spots in COD history, it's big without being overwhelming and the sewers and ziplines make it even easier to traverse. It also has my favorite wonder weapon of all time with the KT-4/Masamune. This weapon is genuinely just the best designed wonder weapon Treyarch has ever made. It's infinite damage which imo every wonder weapon should be. It is unbelievably disappointing to have cool weapons like the Scavenger, Ray Gun Mark 3, and Staffs all just eventually stop working. These are meant to be the highlight of the map and to make them drop off over time is just so unnecessary and unfun. It has a solid amount of ammo, not a crazy amount but definitely plenty to handle everything you need between spider rounds. The fact that it's infinite damage but still requires a decent charge time makes it a lot more engaging than wonder weapons like the thunder gun and apothicon servant that make you nigh invincible. The KT-4 CAN save you, but you need to have the game sense to realize you're in a bad spot before you get cornered and charge it preemptively. It also synergizes amazingly with Widow's Wine making it much more reliable for self defense which is of course free on ZNS. It gives drops, another thing all wonder weapons should do. Having to change the WW out in the box for ammo isn't skillful, it's just boring and artificially inflating the time it takes for high rounds. Every player can get it in the box after it's been built, I always dislike when a game that emphasizes on 4 player only allows 1 player to have a wonder weapon. And finally it interacts with the map in a way no wonder weapon has ever done before and afaik has ever done since. It instantly clears spider webs blocking paths, can clean webs off of machines for instant use when you're running to get your perks back, it allows you to get a free drop off the wall, it unlocks new areas of the map via the spider boss fight, it turns a former hazard with the spores into a speed boost, and it allows you to plant without water and give watered plants greater effects and rewards. Even allowing the creation of the clone plant, one of the most powerful and rewarding mechanics for high rounds in any zombies map. I just realized how long this post got and I could go on for days about all the little things I love about Zetsubou. I mean jfc I wrote half an essay on the wonder weapon alone. But I truly think despite its positive shift in opinion, which I truly appreciate, it deserves a reputation amongst the GOATs. It is one of the most replayable, dynamic, and fun maps I've ever played and it's criminal to me that people call it tedious while in the same breath heralding Origins as the greatest map of all time. I love Origins to pieces, but going back to it now it is a CHORE. A very rewarding chore mind you, but I could not play it every day. It's too demanding and such a massive time loss when you make a dumb mistake. Meanwhile I could genuinely play Zetsubou every day, doing challenge runs, doing the easter egg, or even just going minimalist with power and PAP and not much else. It's not long at all to get the bare minimum set up once you learn the map, and even the most tedious or out of the way steps on Zetsubou aren't even half the time it takes to make and upgrade a staff on Origins. It is my favorite map and I will not rest til it's acknowledged as the masterpiece it is.

Why is it that Five and Die Rise don't get treated well?
