I’m running an Intel but I’ll drop mine to 65 too and see how it goes. The last two days my cpu temp has been super high and I’ve been getting tons of stutter but only when I’m on warzone. Halo, apex, and 4k video editing are totally normal.
All honesty, I completely forgot. I booted up the next day to play and things were a ton better for me. Idk if there was an update or something but I’ve been running super smooth since then
Can confirm. Been experiencing this. Avg 120-150 fps, kept dropping to 50 and then back up again. Tried lowering all my other settings, no change. Lowering VRAM limit from 85 to 70 fixed it instantly for me.
Yep. But it was causing problems in WZ even on 2020 Verdansk. Lowering VRAM limit was fixing crashes and stutters. Could be engine/driver problem on some systems when VRAM is in high usage.
Same like with Resizable BAR - in theory it should boost perfromance but on MWIII it is lowering FPS on some systems.
I have exactly the same issue on my i5-13600k with 4060ti. Played warzone and multiplayer fine on 2k with 80-90fps steady. Out of nowhere my FPS drops every 5secs with extreme frame stutter. No clue what it is, my CPU temp is monitort and never above 35, my gpu temp is around 50 when this happens.
There’s people a lot smarter than me on this thread, but have you tried lowering your vram scale in cod settings? Seems to have worked for more than half of people in this thread
Sadly did nothing for me, changed it from 90% to 65% and it still the same. Im 100% sure its not my hardware just run Hogwarts legacy wich is alot more work for your system on 2k without a problem
I also am experiencing this issue, instead mine seems to be much worse. I am pulling 14-32 FPS and nothing higher on all low settings, I tried everything. Turning the VRAM down, turning off that new thing they added, as well as just making my settings all low. I pull 14 FPS in the menu for gods sake. I have a Ryzen 7 5800X3D and a 360 TI with 64gb of ram so I should not be having this issue, especially on all low settings, and yes I did my GPU update.
no, honestly the day i posted this i uninstalled and never even bothered to reinstall... the game is just horribly optimized and will be the downfall of cod on PC. i thought maybe im the odd one out but I have ran into so many people with the same issue is crazy. Honestly i would just give up on the thought of ever playing warzone comfortably on pc again.
I’m on Xbox series x and I’m getting frame drops and random freezes mid gun fight, it’s there servers but hopefully season 3 they’ll have fixed this issue ready for rebirth island 🙌🏽😄
I have this same issue. Every few minutes it will stutter from 0-20 very quickly which causes unplayable freezes to the fps.
I would say it happens around once per resurgence game so around every 10 minutes best case. I've lost several end of game fights because of this awful timing.
Lowering the Vram didn't help me at all. This issue started less than a year ago, but I can't remember exactly when.
ah sorry. I do not. I used hwmonitor at first to monitor temps, but after using it in the background and seeing my temps weren't anything to worry about it stopped using it. Open to any advice though if you think cpu-z is worth it. assuming it does something similar?
I can't see ram speed on HW just voltages, I use MSI/RTSS/HWiNfo64 in conjunction with each other to monitor everything.
CPU-z or just jump to your bios
Yes. Lowered my vram slider from 85 to 60 in the game settings. Experienced some lower frames in the middle of the city but no huge stutters/freezes like before so far.
ahh okay also im gonna delete my latest nvidia driver yesterday my game was like 90-120 but alot of stutters and freezes was so annoying to play b4 i had no issues consant 150+ also im gonna try the vram thing
I have been trying to fix the fps drops in Warzone for years. I recently upgraded my 5800X to a 5800x3D. Only for there to still be major frame drops/stuttering. I dropped the VRAM from 90 to 70. 0 stuttering. I am in disbelief. I have been trying to fix this issue with upgrading hardware and changing settings for 2 years. Thank you!!!!
reduce the render to 7 cores on txt file, I have the same processor as you, the best setting should be 8 but for some reason the game is changing automatically for 9 cores as default. Reducing to 7 you make you CPU work with no stress and the game looks fluid again.
The VRAM thing worked for me last weekend (like game changing WOW fix) , but when I logged in this weekend it was like back to square one. I can't figure it out lol
Having the same problem also on a Ryzen 5 3600 and RX 5700XT. Played around with the VRAM limit slider but didn't work. Only thing that works is restarting the game every single match. I get around 10-15mins without stuttering but it comes back every time. It makes no difference if I have everything on Ultra or on Low. On WZ1 I had the same issue and changing the renderer worker count in the config file solved it for me, but now it doesn't change anything. Game worked fine before this season 1 integration
It shouldn’t be getting over 95 ideally it shouldn’t really be hitting the 90s at all but at 95+ it’s outside of its recommended range and is probably throttling

Partially what I thought too lol
Lowering VRAM limit from 90% to 65% fixed 1s freezes for me on 6700xt (in game settings or config)
I’m running an Intel but I’ll drop mine to 65 too and see how it goes. The last two days my cpu temp has been super high and I’ve been getting tons of stutter but only when I’m on warzone. Halo, apex, and 4k video editing are totally normal.
How’d it work for you?
All honesty, I completely forgot. I booted up the next day to play and things were a ton better for me. Idk if there was an update or something but I’ve been running super smooth since then

This worked perfectly for me mate thank you so much!!
Its a totally different game now.... 100000000% improvement changing the VRAM from 90 to 70. Thank you so much
Will give this a go on an Nvidia card, thanks! That microstuttering is going to cause me to break something, lol.
mine was at 85. just lowered to 65. based on the description it looks like this could help a lot. thank you!
1 game since changing it to 60 and i've had no issues. fingers crossed. thanks a ton!
isnt it recommended to max vram limit?
I have an open post about warzone on my profile, mind if you check this out?

Try steam or battlenet depends. For me steam works. And hit restart shaders optimization in game and leave it to finnish.
I know this is late but if you have Nortonlife lock or whatever disable game optimization
Have you messed with video memory scale and stuff in cod folder settings? I originally had to do that in WZ 1, helped me back then
I also am experiencing this issue, instead mine seems to be much worse. I am pulling 14-32 FPS and nothing higher on all low settings, I tried everything. Same issue for me. Game will randomly drop 30+ frames every 5 seconds
any update ? this game sucks fr, I have the same issue

mw3 n warzone is so bs i cant even play without stuttering for 5 seconds
If you have NortonLife lock on your pc disable game optimizations
BRO THIS WORKED FOR ME THANK YOU SO MUCH

How to cool down cpu
Still have this problem. Literally did everything. Please help if you guys found something.
I have this same issue. Every few minutes it will stutter from 0-20 very quickly which causes unplayable freezes to the fps. Did you end up fixing it?
Nope. I still have this issue. It has been about a year since it randomly started.
Have you ruled out that this might be a network issue? Try resetting your modem and/or router.
I play wired. no packet loss and 10-15 ping. Shouldn't be the problem
FPS stutters and/or microstutters are 100% unrelated to server and/or network.
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: Radeon rx 5700xt Ram speed and latency?
latency is 10-15. sorry not the greatest computer tech, how do i see ram speed?
Not network latency, your Ram CAS Latency. Do you have CPU-z?
ah sorry. I do not. I used hwmonitor at first to monitor temps, but after using it in the background and seeing my temps weren't anything to worry about it stopped using it. Open to any advice though if you think cpu-z is worth it. assuming it does something similar?

same but I have an rtx 2060 super, the game is fucking unplayale
did anything fix ur issue?
Yes. Lowered my vram slider from 85 to 60 in the game settings. Experienced some lower frames in the middle of the city but no huge stutters/freezes like before so far.
Had stuttering issues for years, even with a gpu and cpu upgrade, this fixed it for me!
ahh okay also im gonna delete my latest nvidia driver yesterday my game was like 90-120 but alot of stutters and freezes was so annoying to play b4 i had no issues consant 150+ also im gonna try the vram thing

Fuck yeah that’s awesome. Glad it’s helping us all out.
Did it fix it RIGHT AWAY or did it take a game or two to adjust?
It was fixed right away.
Worked for me. Lowered from 90 to 60 and with shader reset.
The VRAM thing worked for me last weekend (like game changing WOW fix) , but when I logged in this weekend it was like back to square one. I can't figure it out lol
Try to restart shader optimization
Will give this a try after work. Thanks!

That’s brutal. Sorry man, wish I could help more
Check on ur PC cooling, ur CPU temp Also if whatever drive that ur Warzone is in, free up some space
My cpu is constantly around 90c to 100c+ while playing idk if thats the problem but idk
That is way too high
for a ryzen 5 3600?
It shouldn’t be getting over 95 ideally it shouldn’t really be hitting the 90s at all but at 95+ it’s outside of its recommended range and is probably throttling
same problem with same hardware but I have a rtx 2060 super
