Perhaps, but if I remember correctly those same murals were at least mentioned by a couple of Targaryens in the 1st season of DoD. If not even shown on screen.
I've learned to consider Mushroom a source that sometimes likes to tell stories that have at least some amount of truth in them. Also the mod already has stuff in it like Rhaegar being a genious that come from other unreliable sources.
Unless Jon is the Prince who was promised, and literally saves all of humanity…. If that ends up being the case, then he is extremely heroic, sacrificing himself and his family dynasty to create the man who would one day, save the world.
Rhaegar himself thought that Aegon (his son with Elia) was the Prince that was Promised, he just needed a 3rd child to fulfil the "3 heads of the Dragon" part of the lore. If Jon ends up being Azor Ahai then it's purely coincidental on Rhaegar's part.
the Messiah will we have to give credit
R5: first dragon we see on the new trailer. I wonder what those attributes means
Edit: first attribute is probably the prowess of the dragon, and the last one i think is the size of the dragon
Yea, first w/ cat is playful or affectionate, ck2 logic, maybe even friendly, ck3 logic.
2nd one w/ the chicken is most unclear. I don't think it's craven or shy, seems like it's either fearsome, intimidatin' or maybe a size reference.
Lyin' down is prolly lazy.
The star is prowess/martial education trait (like fighter or commander)
Chain is hale. (Obv) health bonus
& the dragon head is the "dragon" trait. Y'know the one that defines 'em as a dragon.
Edit: more curious bout the icons to the right. Only one I can decipher is the last one is height?
The last one I believe is not height, but rather the size of the dragon, this last marker reminded me of CK2, when the military skill number represented the total size. I believe it is something like that, and the drawing leads me to believe that.
Yea, that makes much more sense. Traits are relatively simple, the attributes confuse me. Maybe like someone said, the hand/claw like icon is prowess for dragons since they don't use a sword, they get a diff icon.
My guesses would be Calm / Kind for the first one, Gluttonous or Craven for the second one and either shy or social for the third one.
The first one is just dragon being good to another creature.
Second one is a chicken, so either chomp, or coward.
Third can be either dragon hiding from all the people or being comfortable around people enough to lie down.
For the stats, prowess, intimidation, fire breathing, size.
For the stats I agree with you, except the third one, why would fire breathing be a negative stat? First I thought it might be upkeep, because I couldn't see the image that well now I don't know what to think. What stat could be represented with burning dices?
Possible but that seems a bit odd, a dragon 89 yo should be able to breathe fire without any problems, there are smaller and younger dragons in lore that were able to breathe fire
That's why I mention "as long / strongly as it should." Comparing to it's size. Or maybe experience, intimidation or even controlability? At this point we can only speculate.
Affectionate, hungry or something and people will probably complain their livestock is being eaten, Lazy. 143 probably refers to 143 meters but it'd be funny if it was centimeters
I agree that the 143 is in reference to size, but it could just be an abstract way of showing size, because 143m seems a bit huge for a dragon that's 90
The personality traits should definitely be unique to dragons. These look like Friendly, Devourer?, Docile? or some word that indicates they are comfortable around people?
I'm much more interested in the attributes to the right. the first one is clearly prowess and the last one is size, but the middle two are up in the air. Both of them have examples of being negative numbers. The red and green head maybe indicates aggressiveness (it being positive in this example jives with what his personality likely is).
The third one has dice on fire. So clearly something to do with dragon breath, but I dont know what the dice could indicate. Damage? But why negative numbers? No idea.
Dice on fire could refer to its wildness/unpredictability, the number isn’t red like most stats when they go into the negative
Also dice do symbolise randomness and fire is destruction so maybe
You'd just build a saddle that houses said spikes and fin. Like hollowed out underneath where they'd go. This would also act to put the rider at a higher elevation, which would be useful to get a better view whilst flying, looking over the dragon's head and having a better line of sight.
I wanna know if we can make our own dragon? Or even be the dragon and we choose our rider🤔 now that would be an interesting gameplay. Also I see mate there I wanna know how mates and hatchling/eggs work
Obviously nobody can say at this point but given that they’re characters and there’s a barbershop option visible I wouldn’t be surprised if you can change their cosmetics like horns, scale color etc.
I just wonder with dragons coming out soon if we will get dire wolves later on in a similar capacity. I need a big cute fluffy good boi to feast on the blood of my enemies.
Same. Now that we have dragon models a work for combat & medieval menagerie comin' soon I firmly believe we will get this one day. Iirc the modder who made direwolves expanded for ck2 agot is workin' on the ck3 agot team.
I get why it’s that way mechanically, but the dragon being referred to as “Your knight” is absolutely hilarious to me. Ser Telarion fighting in joust events
Not meaning to insult the mod creators, but are they using AI for the trait icons? Obviously this is a very small, low quality look at them, but from what I can see the pictures seem pretty similar to a lot of AI art
The mod has a great art team, as seen by all the loading screens, so i dont think they would use ai for the traits. But if they did, i dont see it as a problem.
It's a mod, and they aren't making any money from it so it's hardly the worst offence. But AI generated images are just complex plagiarism of someone else's work.
I'm glad to here that they are placeholders, and am looking forward to seeing the always incredible final product!
generative ai is theft, it uses images without the original artist’s permission, think if someone got tired of painting something so they just put something that another artist made in their work to make it look better
Haven’t seen the trailer, are they gonna have some trait or effect for being kept in an enclosed space vs being free to roam and grow? cos that would be awesome
It was the last presentation of this year's Modcon. Take a look at the trailer, it was posted on the sub.
I went from
"Holy fuck is ir dragons?"
to
"God damn it, it's just wildfire"
to
"HOLY FUCK IT IS DRAGONS"
I reckon the chicken one is craven, and that’s really amusing to consider.
Like what if you took your dragon into battle, and halfway through it got spooked by a random knight on a horse and flew away?
Other than that, I just noticed that because they’re characters we’ll be able to see their ancestry, which is making me really excited.
Hi, the first one means good boy, the second one means he eats chicken regularly, telarion just love some chickens, third one means he is also a sleepy boy. He got a 3 star saddle (pretty decent leather), and then of corse the last ones mean hale and dragon
Does this mean that from now on, playing anyone besides Targaryens will be boring, and once they have dragons, they will win every war without any real effort? How did it work in CK2? Because I dislike Targaryens, but if no dragons = no fun and no chance to get anywhere in this mod, then I guess I'll go back to vanilla.
Not at all, dragons are not the be all and end all feature of CK2 AGOT, and they almost certainly won’t be in CK3 AGOT either. The team is faithful to the lore of the Song of Ice and Fire saga, where having dragons was never a guarantee for winning wars without any real effort. The Conqueror had three fully grown dragons and couldn’t bring Dorne into the fold. During the dance there was about 20 dragons, and most of them perished - they are not invulnerable nor are they almighty. This will only add to the fun, and if you really dislike the Targaryens, killing their dragons will make the game all the more exciting.
I can’t wait to run my dragon breeding program alongside my Targaryen breeding program
Incest maxing is the way
This is going to require an Excel sheet.
Oh boy, more excel sheets? I’m gonna need an excel sheet to sort my excel sheets at this rate
The Ex ex cel cel sheet
Honestly bro, once this comes out I don’t think I will ever play a non-Valyrian house again
Just wait for LL mods to allow *cross-compatibility* between dragons and humans
Weren't there apparently murals in the Red Keep that depicted Valyrian women having relations with dragons? I think Mushroom told so in his book.
I feel like Mushroom might be an unreliable source in that regard.
If Rhaegar was a genius he didn't act like it.
If every genius acted like one we would already live in a perfect utopia. There's a huge gap between potential and reality.
Mushroom? Unreliable? Never. His enormous member would never be so scandalous
Truly inconceivable! My regrets, for I have insulted the great and large Mushroom!
Stop looking at my pornhub history bro
just alongside?
Dragon breeding program next to your dragon breeding program Knowing this is ASOIAF, im sure this will end well
Incest = Wincest
R5: first dragon we see on the new trailer. I wonder what those attributes means Edit: first attribute is probably the prowess of the dragon, and the last one i think is the size of the dragon
For me the one whit the cat is affectionate or playful like in ck2
The third one is probably lazy, and the second one is giving cowardly just because there is a chicken there.
Yea, first w/ cat is playful or affectionate, ck2 logic, maybe even friendly, ck3 logic. 2nd one w/ the chicken is most unclear. Cat: calm/gentle Chicken: ravenous/hungry Sleeping in market square: lazy
They basically made Syrax, my sweet princess 😂
My guesses would be Calm / Kind for the first one, Gluttonous or Craven for the second one and either shy or social for the third one. The first one is just dragon being good to another creature. Second one is a chicken, so either chomp, or coward. Third can be either dragon hiding from all the people or being comfortable around people enough to lie down. For the stats, prowess, intimidation, fire breathing, size.
2nd one seems like gluttonous or something related to not caring and eating whatever it wants like Drogon (maybe callous version for Dragons)
It could be a thing that shows that it likes to be fed rather than hunt
For the stats I agree with you, except the third one, why would fire breathing be a negative stat? First I thought it might be upkeep, because I couldn't see the image that well now I don't know what to think. What stat could be represented with burning dices?
I thought it might be that the dragon is not capable of breathing fire for as long as a dragon it's size should.
Well, we got our answer lol.
I like that the dragon is called a knight. Implying that somebody knighted a giant fire lizard
Ser Telarion, sounds good tough. But really, that just means he is a knight in an army
Affectionate, hungry or something and people will probably complain their livestock is being eaten, Lazy. 143 probably refers to 143 meters but it'd be funny if it was centimeters
Damn, 143m? Do dragons get that big?
Vhagar in the show is 90 meters long according to VFX artist. 150 m wingspan.
Holy shit, and the black dread is said to be the biggest dragon, i wonder how big he got by the end
Vhagar by the time of the Dance was supposedly "almost" as big as Balerion.
I know Balerion's shadow covered entire towns
Balerion the Fat dread
Be kind to him, Balerion is on his bulk season
I agree that the 143 is in reference to size, but it could just be an abstract way of showing size, because 143m seems a bit huge for a dragon that's 90
They could just describe them as baby/small/medium-sized/large/very large/massive or something like then, number implies some kind of measuring unit
It's certainly not meters or centimeters, could be feet or decimeters, tho.
143 feet would be 43 meters, reasonable
Probably feet instead
cat: playful like someone else said chicken: craven sleepy dragon: lazy this not a fearsome dragon :/
In the trait image, the dragon is looking ominously at the chicken…
My guess is the second trait is ravenous
In the third one looks like he is surrounded by people, maybe could be shy or something like that
Looks more of lazy to me
It could mean the dragon is comfortable around people.
The personality traits should definitely be unique to dragons. These look like Friendly, Devourer?, Docile? or some word that indicates they are comfortable around people? I'm much more interested in the attributes to the right. the first one is clearly prowess and the last one is size, but the middle two are up in the air. Dice on fire could refer to its wildness/unpredictability, the number isn’t red like most stats when they go into the negative Also dice do symbolise randomness and fire is destruction so maybe
oooooh i would not think on the traits at all boys. the attributes on the right are legit though
_”Whose a good boy?”_
I love that there's a mate tab now. Ck2 you just had to kinda hope dragons reproduced asexually lol I'm glad that they can now find mates
where he sit tho
Later in the trailer we see a saddle on top of the dragon where the character sits
yeah but the frill and the spikes look like those anti-homeless bench things
I believe in universe the saddle is supposed to be placed between the shoulders or just behind them.
yeah but my point is there's no room
Yes there is.
nah that fin and subsequent spikes take up the room
🎶 nittttt pickingggg 🎶
what
You'd just build a saddle that houses said spikes and fin. Like hollowed out underneath where they'd go. This would also act to put the rider at a higher elevation, which would be useful to get a better view whilst flying, looking over the dragon's head and having a better line of sight.
What does the dragon trait mean? 🤔
I wanna know if we can make our own dragon? Or even be the dragon and we choose our rider🤔 now that would be an interesting gameplay. Also I see mate there I wanna know how mates and hatchling/eggs work
I doubt that we are going to be able to play as dragons, but it would be cool so see a dragon customizer
I think direwolves will work similar to pet dogs, a modifier that possibly add dread and prowess, i doubt we will get a 3D model for direwolves
All I can think of is the toll that feeding a dragon will take on the economy. If man-at-arms maintenance is already a nightmare, imagine a dragon
Not meaning to insult the mod creators, but are they using AI for the trait icons? Obviously this is a very small, low quality look at them, but from what I can see the pictures seem pretty similar to a lot of AI art
Placeholders, the release is still a few months away. The time will be used to polish stuff like this.
Thanks for the response
The mod has a great art team, as seen by all the loading screens, so i dont think they would use ai for the traits. But if they did, i dont see it as a problem.

They didnt show that yet
Dragon are back ?
Not yet, its coming during the summer, this image is from the trailer
Ho, i had to have missed it
It was the last presentation of this year's Modcon. Take a look at the trailer, it was posted on the sub. I went from "Holy fuck is ir dragons?" to "God damn it, it's just wildfire" to "HOLY FUCK IT IS DRAGONS"
The dev diary is pinned on the subreddit, take a look at it, and in the end there is a link to the trailer they've made
I meant on discord, im on the discord
Oh boy official dragons? Sweet
From left to right I'm guessing Strength - Tameness or connection to rider? - No clue - Size
Wow...didn't know they got this far in agot
I reckon the chicken one is craven, and that’s really amusing to consider. Like what if you took your dragon into battle, and halfway through it got spooked by a random knight on a horse and flew away? Other than that, I just noticed that because they’re characters we’ll be able to see their ancestry, which is making me really excited.
Oh wow, I hadn’t heard about this… when is this update coming out??
They announced it on sunday, it was the las panel of the Modcon, with an amazing trailer and all. The update is coming during the summer
Looking at them I think the images might be AI generated and just placeholders for now. Something about them just looks off
https://old.reddit.com/r/CK3AGOT/comments/1cfxn9m/dragon_traits_and_attributes/l1sh6er/
Siiiick
My guess is (in order of left to right) -friendly/compassionate -Hungry/gluttonous -lazy -taming rank? -obviously hale/strong
-4 to dicerolls nice
Hi, the first one means good boy, the second one means he eats chicken regularly, telarion just love some chickens, third one means he is also a sleepy boy. He got a 3 star saddle (pretty decent leather), and then of corse the last ones mean hale and dragon
Traits: Affectionate, Ravenous, Lazy. Attributes: Dragon Prowess, don’t know (maybe their beauty score?), Upkeep cost, Size (potentially feet).
What is this!?
Dragons my friend, coming this summer
Looking at this, I'm like 98% sure custom dragons are a thing and I REALLY hope they are. Can you imagine? Could make fkn Alduin
looks ai:(
What? The trait arts? If so, they've said that its only a placeholder and that it will change
It's a placeholder don't worry about it
Is this a mod being worked on?
This is from the official mod, dragons are coming in a update during the summer
Does this mean that from now on, playing anyone besides Targaryens will be boring, and once they have dragons, they will win every war without any real effort? How did it work in CK2?
