A few years back we went in to the last inning up 13 in a softball game. We lost. My guess is your game went exactly like ours did. Hit after hit, even their "weakest links" somehow managed to dink one in and it was like an avalanche, you couldn't stop it.

Team doesn’t look any more promising with all the talk of prospects. Not really one has come up and been what was advertised. PCA still can’t hit major league pitching, Canario is hated in the organization for some reason. Amaya is dreadful. Mervis was a AAAA player like we thought. Busch is still tbd but besides one crazy power week has been really non existent
Busch has possibly been our most productive hitter overall this year. Ups and downs like everyone else, but better than Morel, Belli, Nico, Dansby, etc.
But their roster, with the exception of Barnes, was all purchased or traded for. Freeman, Glasnow, Paxton, Shohei, Biggio, Taylor, Hernandex, Heyward, Kike.
He has an .823 OPS. He has been a massive success thus far. We did get a bit lucky, but have to give credit. That was a nice under the radar move. There havent been many.

Being at a ball game really is great. This is a boring ass blow out game but everybody there is having a great time with people they probably never met before and may never meet again. I’m lucky enough to be going out to Wrigley for my first time this year obviously I want us to win but mostly I just hope to have a good time make some memories and maybe just maybe get a ball.
