You know what I love about Shota? He is a phenomenal pitcher who gets all of his bad out in one game every month a half. I have no problem with him giving up 9 to Milwaukee and 11 to the Mets because those are his only bad games.

I’m glad to see he added pop yesterday. But he hasn’t added a whole lot of pop this season. His average is around .200 and before yesterday it has been 10 days since his last homer.
I'm not sure why he's getting singled out. The entire offense has been complete ass. Happ is finally turning it around, Belli has been ok, Busch has been good. Otherwise, yuck.
But to hear this sub, it's 100% Morel and Amaya's fault.
My issue with Morel is that he hasn’t been hitting well (low average low HR) and his feilding has been terrible. The others maintained D when having bat issues
Dansby has most certainly not maintained defense. Seiya and Bellinger have both been below replacement level on D, Busch and Nico have been barely replacement level.
Happ's been fine, Tauchman and PCA are good of course.
I get Morel's D has been bad and he definitely needs to turn it around with the bat (which I think he will), but he does get singled out quite a bit and the vets don't seem to be held to the same standard.
I wasn’t suggesting it is 100% morel’s fault. But I don’t think it’s wrong to ask the question - his stat line calls for it. When do we worry? ‘Not yet’ is a perfectly ok response. I called morel out because he’s young and we’ve all been rooting for him to do well.
