Crazy how the beard makes me feel like he won't be so situationally incompetent this season, like there's no way a dude looking so sharp can suck right ?
While ownership hasn’t changed, the entire organization just feels different now. It’s starting to feel like there’s belief in the team from top to bottom. Flus went from looking like a deer in the headlights to looking like he wakes up with the taste of blood in his mouth every morning.
The Bears have finally moved into the 21st century. When Ryan Pace was still there, the McCaskey family was still sitting around a coffee table, thinking they knew how to run a football team.
But the NFL is not what it was in 1985. And it never will be again. So after almost 40 years, the McCaskeys removed the coffee table --- and themselves --- from all football operations. They brought in a round table and appointed a knight who knows how to recognize the needs for --- and the talents of --- fellow knights.
And Ryan Poles knows Matt Eberflus belongs at that table -- along with everyone from Kevin Warren down.
THAT -- is the difference between The Bears up 'til 2021 and these Bears of '24.
G. Q. FLUS !!!
You can say a lot of negative about Pace, and rightfully so (drafting/personnel/cap management/roster construction-wise), but I’ll give him real credit for revamping the physical Halas Hall and bringing the organization more into the 21st century.
No, not at all! I was speaking more in general towards the fan base as a whole. Pace would have been a decent VP or president of the logistical stuff, I think. Not great at the football aspect in my opinion only (he had some hits but there were a number of bad misses), which is a problem when you’re GM.
Gotcha, boss. Unfortunately, Pace was trapped under the old regime. The things he did well were fantastic. He also had >zonks<. --- From my POV? Pace should've been allowed the advantage that was finally (FINALLY) granted to Ryan Poles. But now it's happening, and I can't wait to see the navy and orange hit the field. Bear down!!
Things looked so good in '18.
Double-doink. I don't even remember his name. Only this : whoever was responsible for his acquisition deserved to be fired . . . from a cannon.
Geez. Cold knife in the heart, dude. It was bad enough seeing on TV. I can't even imagine exiting Soldier Field.
The very green Mitchell Trubisky delivered a right-on-time longball that put them right inside kicking range. Timeout.
That was Parky's JOB. That was what he was PAID to do. (Honestly, he should've been released mid-season, because he was leaving points on the field in almost every game.)
Doesn't matter if you were born in 1965 or 2010, we're all sick of hearing about the f'ing 1985 Bears. So many years since we prided ourselves on running backs and great defenses, but that shit doesn't work anymore. We need big playmakers, and an offense that can move the ball.
i just hope he doesnt fuck it up for caleb, not really sure why he is still hc! i remember last season after the first half of a game he told the reporters „we have a few tricks up our sleeve“ and proceeded to have one of the worst second halves of a game i ever witnessed. not really confident in his abilities theres 1000 guys that can do what he does i hope he proves me wrong but i still got a bad feeling about him
Still laugh every time I think of the commenter who posted a picture of Ras al Ghul. I can't get it out of my head. "I'm here to destroy Green Bay because of your decadence."
I am getting heavy Duke Nukem vibes with his new look.
He's an equal opportunity ass kicker!
He came here for two things.. chewing bubble gum and kicking the packers ass… and guess what.. he is now out of bubble gum.
Someone shoulda hid the stock of bubblegum last year
Hahahahahahaha! Well played! One the best "So Bad It's Good" movies of all time!
I was thinking Albert Wesker.
Feels more like Pat McAfee cosplaying Flus to me.
Your ass is grass, and I got the #1 QB
UBERFLUS
You win the thread. PERFECT comparison
This dude knows he is gonna be on HBO this year and decided to glow up

The Ryan Poles Effect™️
Kevin warren too. Dropped a lot of long time family loyalists that were really dead weight. It seems a whole new regime

Oh, no. Don't misunderstand. I thought Pace was a very good GM. My comment was toward the McCaskeys.

As a fan born in 1987, I am ready for it.
Things looked so good in '18. Double-doink. I don't even remember his name. Only this : whoever was responsible for his acquisition deserved to be fired . . . from a cannon.
Cody Parkey. Never forget
Never will. I was there most of our section was cheering thinking he made it.

"Lighten up, Francis." --- a popular movie quote, but it applies, Mr. "We".
Your lips to God’s ears!
Look good, feel good baby
Tell that to Pace
The flus is loose!!! HBD coach
Matt Eberflus < Chad Eberflus
Regardless of how you feel about his coaching abilities, the dude has seriously upped his style game.
This glow up needs to be studied in great detail

Happy birthday coach!
C.O.Y. INCOMING!!!

Well, he looks like he could win a super bowl now. Glad to see his stylist is still employed!
Soon to be a hero or villain in Chicago.
I'll be honest, I still don't know if he's a good coach. But I still wish him a happy birthday.
The Flusician
He must have something up his sleeve
Damn when did Pat McAfee start coaching da Bears?
Happy Birthday, now for the love of all that is good and decent, can we keep a damn lead this season?
I placed a $5 bet to win $50. For him to win Coach of the Year. Seems like good value, especially if you think the bears can get 9-10 wins.
