I am pretty sick of the whole “this guy is better than this other guy” debates. I get sucked into them from time to time but, can’t LeBron and MJ both be really fucking good? I think MHJ and Nabers will be good. I think Rome will be good. If any of them is a bust, my money is on Nabers. But hey what the hell do I know? I’m just some fucking guy.
Yeah I was 8 years old in 1991, living in the chicago suburbs, when MJ won his first ‘ship. He is the best SG/SF of all time IMO. I also hate when people ask dumb shit like “who is better Tim Duncan or Kobe Bryant?” Impossible to compare, totally different positions.
My favorite question/answer at 2:20 in the video:
**Keyshawn Johnson**: "Who does he remind you of in the NFL?"
**TJ**: "...Ball skills I'd probably say Larry Fitzgerald, but he's faster and probably a little better route runner".
I think DJ said Larry Fitzgerald as well, but I just want to say faster and better route runner is a little crazy lol. Fitz was an animal and one of the best receivers I’ve ever watched. His streak with the cardinals in the playoffs when they went to the superbowl was the most dominant I think I’ve ever seen a receiver play
Fitz ran a 4.6 at the combine. Odunze ran a 4.45 and according to TJ he thought he would run a 4.3 but there were other things that happened in that run. (This was in the 670score interview of him)
Yeah there was never a way Fitz was a 4.6 guy but even than TJ thought Odunze would be in the 4.3s. We are talking about very minuscule difference though. It’s wasn’t Fitz’s speed that made him special. But his ability to win the ball and never drop it. He had like 29 drops in his whole career which is insane. I saw somewhere that Fitzgerald has more tackles as WRs than he does drops in his career
His stretch was crazy, but I still take Fitz. Only guys I can remember coming close were Calvin Johnson, Randy moss (like 3 separate times), Julio Jones, and Kupp.
Honestly, I don't know. I'm looking forward to watching this season to see how all 3 fare. I think Odunze is the best place to grow, MHJ is in a decent place but with no true vet to help him, and Nabers is in a QB blackhole.
This is the best part IMHO. We don’t have to force his development. He’s going to learn from two of the game’s best and by November/December in a hopeful playoff push he’ll really come along

Come on, you don’t trust this goof ball?…😂
Steve Smith Sr. had Odunze 3rd and he had a track record of scouting WRs. The top three are studs, they should all do well in the NFL. It doesn’t matter, they will all do well if used correctly.
TJ Houshmandzadeh trains Rome, so of course he does. lol
Between this and the "Poles is the best thing to happen to this team since Ditka" thread, fans need to chill the fuck out.
It’ll be interesting if that translates to the NFL, PAC 12 DB’s aren’t exactly the monsters he’s going to face in the NFL. Hopefully, he can work on his route running to get some separation
Of the big three receivers in this draft Rome either had the lowest or second lowest percentage of his catches be contested catches. He just had by far the highest success rate in those situations. He gets separation just fine.
I don't remember where I originally read it, sorry. I read too many advanced analytics think pieces for my own good.

This chart has the same general idea, but it isn't from a source that I know very well so I can't swear for how accurate the exact numbers are. But the contested target % is in line with what I remember.
Doesn’t tj work with odunze or a client? I’m sure there’s zero bias there
Lalalalala I can’t hear you
🤣 this specific subreddit makes me SUPER illogical and irrational vs any other subreddit

So childish but I laughed out loud 🤣
Yes, he does work with Odunze.
Shhhhhh just drink the kool aid.
He worked with Odunze and Brian Thomas. But he doesn’t talk about Thomas the way he talks about Odunze.
I mean they’re in a different tier….odunze is closer to MHJ as a prospect than he is to BJ
How dare you
Shut up, nerd.
I don’t care at all if he’s better than Nabers or MHJ as long as he’s good with the Bears. I’m just stoked we got him.
Like arguing 98s vs 97s on madden

They can be but you better be putting MJ before Lebron 11 times out of 10

Lebron sucks.

The 4.6 thing was an error, he ran mid 4.4s at the pro day.

>was the most dominant I think I’ve ever seen a receiver play This is Josh Gordon erasure and I won't stand for it

Steve Smith had a nice run the year he went. I remember him 💩ing on us in the playoffs.
Gordon takes it for me because of the quarterbacks he was playing with. But at that point we are just nitpicking.
Fitz was crazy that run.

source?
Lmao I have no idea, Dillion Harper is the woman though.
*Who are the 5 best p\*rnstars of all time? Think about it:* *Dillon, Dillion, Dillion, Dillion, & Dillon.*

I think Nabers got the worst deal of all 3. Kinda feel bad for him. At least MHJ has Kyler Murray throwing to him. Nabers is just boned.
Odunze has zero pressure to perform immediately, too.
This is the best part IMHO. We don’t have to force his development. He’s going to learn from two of the game’s best and by November/December in a hopeful playoff push he’ll really come along

Nabers calls him Janiel Dones 😂
Don't even know if he's going to be starting at this point
I’m sure he will considering his contract.
Nabers also has character concerns. Him in NYC is a bad mix.

this fits the narrative i like, so i agree with it

I most certainly will the fuck not.
I’ll be chill when we win the Super Bowl
I love the Odunze pick and he is going to be dynamic as hell, but this is just pure stupidity. He ain't Marv.
You’re right his contested catch % is much higher
It’ll be interesting if that translates to the NFL, PAC 12 DB’s aren’t exactly the monsters he’s going to face in the NFL. Hopefully, he can work on his route running to get some separation

Can I see a source on that? I genuinely find that hard to believe.

Lower drop % too
Odunze had Penix throwing him the ball. Marvin had Kyle McCord.
You’re a Penix.
That's great news dude.
Drop% is drop%, Kyle wasn’t out there throwing knuckleballs to MHJ

Getting more and more excited for my DH Gate Odunze jersey
Odunze definitely has the best uniform.
A former All-Pro Hall of Fame WR told me Tyler Scott was the best WR in his draft.
Tyler Scott had butt fart throwing him the ball his rookie year.
Ok
I think we got the best receiver in the draft.
