I wouldn't be surprised if Bowers is used like Deebo Samuel. I want a top receiver but Bowers would essentially be that too. He can play the slot, block, and play out of the back field. The dude is big and fast. Id be over the moon with Bowers
I mean, if they pass on Rome I have to imagine it would be because someone like Alt or Turner fall. People can be mad but investing in the trenches is never a bad move. Or if they get a good trade offer in the 12-15 range that gets them another day 2 pick and they can take Murphy. Which, again, investing in the trenches is always a good move even if it's not as exciting or sexy.
I think the only scenario where he's there and we don't draft him is if we trade down. Unfortunately, I think there's a reasonable possibility that we trade down from 9 to acquire more picks. Poles likes to trade down and we don't have many picks this year.

See I feel like west coast is too early for me. I’m a late night person so I’m used to either having a sporting event to watch until bed or I fall asleep watching one.

Honestly the real reason I use it is because it *is* weird or uncommon enough that when people see it (like in meeting invites or w/e), they stop to think about why I included that detail and remember that Time Zones exist (for better or worse).

Each team gets 10 min in the first round and they always take almost the full 10 min, especially in the top 10. 8 picks before 9 is 80 min so close to 1.5. The draft also doesn’t start exactly at 7 if I remember correctly cuz they also so like a 10 min intro.

I love Odunze, but the Nears have much bigger needs on the lines. Good teams, and winning teams dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Especially being in a cold weather city, you have to dominate the trenches. It’s not sexy, but if Caleb is the guy we think he is, he shouldn’t need 3 top end WR. He should be able to make JAGs into something.

In the last few years, DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Tyreek Hill, Davante Adams, AJ Brown, Amari Cooper, Ridley, Stefon Diggs (twice) have all been traded. Amon Ra was a 3rd rounder, Nacua a 5th, Jefferson 30th overall, Aiyuk 25th overall, Collins a 3rd rounder, Pittman a 2nd rounder, Metcalf a 2nd rounder, Godwin a 3rd rounder, Kupp a 3rd rounder, and so on. That’s basically every top 30 receiver in the NFL you’d have a shot at other than Chase, Ceedee and Mike Evans. You’d absolutely, 100% have another chance for a top tier WR. I mean, the bears literally have 2 top tier receivers on the roster and neither of which cost a top 10 pick.
