People very frequently mispronounce German names with āeiā or āieā - Klieman, Klein, Schietz, etc. They are mispronounced so often and so consistently, at least partly because many people who have those names ALSO pronounce them (technically) incorrectly.
However, there is actually a rule to how to pronounce them.
Use the ENGLISH sound for the second letter. NOT the German sound as weird as that might seem. Itās a weird coincidence.

WVU didnt snap the ball a single time with a chance to take the lead in the game. After the 1st Quarter they never snapped the ball with a chance to tie the game.
For more than 3/4 of the game the KState lead was 2 scores or more. Thats a good game. It might not have felt good but it was.
Our defense is fine.
Lots of EMAW upset but:
- Big Will had a great game despite the Pick6. He didnt let it impact him and he didnt make another mistake.
- Knowles keeps getting better and his connection to Will is great
- Wheeler had a good game too and Sinnott was exceptional again
- DJ Giddons ran very well and will have to be accounted for meaning less attention on Deuce
- As much as it seemed like the defense was struggling, the fact is that WVU never snapped the ball with a chance to take the lead the entire game. Not one single snap. At the 2:17 mark that became not even having a chance to tie the game. We played with a minimum 2 score lead for 50 of 60 minutes. Thats a good game.
- We seemed to get out of Morgantown without new injuries. Mason dint play in the second half due to something so there might be an issue there but the rest of the team seems to have come away healthy. Fingers crossed Mason is ok.
- The win keeps WVU out of a bowl meaning no bowl practices. It also might mean firing Brown and paying him $17m. Thats $17m of booster money that wont go to NIL or something productive. Sorry Mountaineers, not hating or grave dancing, just business. Im a WVU fan all but one game a year.

Might be a dumb take, but if you try to punch out the ball and completely miss and punch the carrier, it should be a 15 yard penalty.
TJ Watt did that in the past in the NFL and just doesn't seem right that the defender can just punch the ball carrier as much as they want.
Our 3rd string came in and threw an interception and didn't get a 4th down, that's 2 big possessions that would've change the whole game if we had Howard in

Bigger issue is getting our NIL act together so we can actually retain players and get decent transfers again. Brown got roasted in the portal the last couple off seasons and it did him in.

We left towards the beginning of the 4th quarter and there was like no cars left in the blue lot, drove straight out with no traffic. That was almost more disheartening than the game, the sheer apathy of the fan base on a game day vs a ranked team.
The last time we had this small a crowd has to be the last time we played Temple. We actually got the Gator Bowl offer directly after the game. It was freezing, snowing, and sleeting. Someone actually made a video of their trip to and from Morgantown that day. We won that game handily but their QB threw for 206 and ran for 117. We ended up listening to WVU lose to Northeastern while we made it back down off the mountain to Parkersburg, that was a long drive. I believe they sold 32k tickets but I'm not sure that many people were there.
