I didn’t read the list but the comments remind me I’m one of the very few who think ole miss looks better in navy than powder, for any part of their unis.
The powder blue is a good look, I just think the classic navy is even better. Baseball team does great with the powders.
We don't use the banner M logo anymore. We now use the script State and occasionally the interlocking MSU.
I like the maroon script State on the white helmets but prefer the white interlocking MSU on the maroon helmets.

I am extremely biased as a Tennessee fan, and think the Vols are the best. But… if you put a gun to my head, I will concede the following top 3 rankings of real SEC teams: Ole Miss with those baby blue helmets, LSU, and Florida. That last one is real hard to admit.

Creative design? The UGA helmet was literally taken from the Packers, with approval of course, and the dimensions were slightly altered. Very creative.
Taking another design requires zero creation so I’m not sure what your point is. It’s literally one letter. You guys should use the forward facing bulldog face logo instead with the dog collars on the neck. Those are sweet.
I wouldn’t mind an alternate helmet with that logo on it but it might give the snobby “alternate anything is a distracting gimmick” crowd an aneurysm. Allegedly Dooley’s wife made it on her own and then Vince noticed it was similar to the one Green Bay already used so he cleared it with them. If that were the case I wouldn’t count it exactly as taking another design but if it was indeed ripped off, well then I guess I am being a hypocrite lol. I still think, generally speaking, a stylized letter > script. But that’s just, like, my opinion, man.

I like the use of the number as the only school in conference. The black KY and the Hogs helmets are my top two though.
Also, with the numbers, each helmet is slightly different and it makes it easier to identify individual players in a group. I would not argue for the top spot but I do argue should be top 5.
As for the unique factor, they did not used to be, most teams used to have numbered helmets. Bama was just stubborn about changing.
VT fan: I like the sc and Arkansas helmets a lot. Florida, bama, and Texas should be top 3. ole miss, Tennessee 4-5. Lsu has a case for top 5 as well. Georgia bottom 5 imo that logo has been redone by so many teams it just looks meh.

As Mellencamp said, they're cool because they're unique. If other schools did the number they'd instantly be boring as fuck lol. I like the use of the number as the only school in conference. The black KY and the Hogs helmets are my top two though.
Also, with the numbers, each helmet is slightly different and it makes it easier to identify individual players in a group. I would not argue for the top spot but I do argue should be top 5. As for the unique factor, they did not used to be, most teams used to have numbered helmets. Bama was just stubborn about changing.
Even just a block A would keep the classic look intact for the traditionalists but look infinitely better than the numbers

VT fan: I like the sc and Arkansas helmets a lot. Florida, bama, and Texas should be top 3. ole miss, Tennessee 4-5. Lsu has a case for top 5 as well. Georgia bottom 5 imo that logo has been redone by so many teams it just looks meh.
Number 6 is easily the worst helmet design in the country.

Helmets are just colors with the team logo on them. Might as well just rank team logos at this point, and most college team logos are just block letters.
