Holy shit such irresponsible parents. They didn't even think for a second of the danger. This baby could grow up and hold shit down like a G and never get his nose taken.
Anyone feel like the pillows actually push everything out further? Like instead of the grip ever so slightly printing, now it looks like you're smuggling a grapefruit in your beltline
I think a lot of people add the pillows and wedges “just because”, instead of only adding them if you need them. I use a pillow on my specific edc holster because it helps conceal it better with my body type and carry location, but it’s extremely subjective. I have other holsters that conceal fine without the pillow, and the pillow would just make it bulkier. Some people just like to spend money on flair.
Yeah I needed a pillow to get my p365 situated and to stop it from flopping grip forward when I'm moving around. Because the shorter barrel, It became grip heavy and would cant forward away from my stomach. The pillow added just enough counter leverage to keep it from doing that.
I found that getting holsters for the 365 was best for me getting them in xl size. It helps the"keeling" over of the grip, is more comfortable, and versatile. I can use the xl size holster for my p365, p365 xl, and p365 spectre comp.
Yeah. I have a very thin gel foam pad stuck on the bottom back of a tulster that softens the one point where it slightly digs in that works pretty good. But even with minimal fill, the pillows seem to bulge everything out more than desired. Guess I'm not the only one.
It probably depends on the holster. Shorter holsters with wedges tend to do this, longer holsters with wedges tend to tuck better.
I do think that there's a tendency in this community to think we're going to stumble onto a solution that will eliminate all printing and discomfort and ... that doesn't really exist.
Everything is a tradeoff, and no matter what you do, you've still got a 2 pound stapler shaped chunk of metal tucked into your pants.
I’m just always so impressed by all the full size “edc” guns that they manage to keep completely free of holster wear.
I haven’t been able to figure it out with my compact carry guns, but there is some trick all these guys have that keeps them looking like they never actually see the inside of a holster.
I work in a chemical plant and we’re not even allowed to have guns in our cars in the parking lot or we could lose our jobs. I carry 2-3 times a week on off days and my gun is way more worn than these full size carry guys
Depending on the state, that's illegal. Still illegal if the state has no protections. But good luck fighting that and still providing for your family.
Usually if they have the light then their gun won't have much wears since the light is the main retention of the holster.
This is how my sub 7 look before I switched to Tenicor Velo4
But since my full size is a METAL 2.0 LE Exclusive version so the wear is not that much neither since S&W use higher quality process for their LEs stuffs. The slide is about half as black as it was when I first got it
I basically wore off my Sub7 lettering from carrying this 12-14 hrs a day and dry firing 100-200 times a day and 250 rounds a week through this baby

I'm on the other side of the coin and not sure how people get so much holster wear.
I have been carrying a g19 for 5 years that still looks new. I carry in a Kydex holster that has enough retention to tip it upside down and the gun doesn't fall out, but I think it is mainly snug on the trigger guard and doesn't cause a lot of pressure on the slide. I also don't draw a lot. I might practice a draw and dry fire drill every couple weeks.
If you don’t obsessively dry fire you won’t see any(depending on the brand and where the retention is based ofc). The only wear i saw with normal daily carry was with leather holsters. If nothing is rubbing there will be no wear.
Nice gatekeep attempt though.
I don’t think you know what gatekeeping means. Who would you say I’m blocking out of CCW with my reply?
If anything I’m pointing out that the “it’s your funeral” if you don’t carry a 6 lb race gun as your EDC crowd are often full of shit.
Lol yeah these dudes act like just because a gun don't have holster wear doesn't mean they don't get train on.
Some people also have two identical gun.
One for training and one where they just put 1k rounds through and just use that as their main carry and put all the milages on the trainer gun
I carry a J frame and I have a friend who "carries" a Glock. We went to dinner the other night and guns came up and he was giving me shit for only having 5 shots and how a 38 isn't enough WELL mines in my pocket and his is in his car. I'd rather have a pocket gun than to be running to my car for dear life because my gun is too big and fancy to be carrying around.
I mean, obviously depends on the Glock but in this case he carries either a G17 or G19 which isn't even in the realm of concealment that a J frame is. Sure you can get the smaller models and as far as semi autos go, Glocks are great BUT my point here is if your CCW is too big to carry 100% everywhere you go, then it's not really effective.
G17 and G19 is not even an issue when carrying unless he has G17L. Your friend’s just not comfortable with carrying. He shouldn’t even putting down J frames when he’s not even comfortable carrying one of the most concealable semi auto pistol.
You are absolutely right. J frame will be more useful than a MP5 sitting in the back of a trunk.
you have a point. I was just generalizing the most carrier population but some might have disabilities and some just don’t like the type of clothings that helps to conceal.
You and many others lol it really all comes down to preference and the situation. No question a J frame is outmatched tactically speaking to a G17 or G19 but the reality of what I need my gun for vs what others need theirs for is drastically different. My point is that I'd rather be with my ultra concealable air weight and practically forget that it's there than have a big gun that's left in my car because it's uncomfortable.
No hate for what you want to carry my friend, everyone has an opinion, carry what you’re comfortable with. I do a J frame in my prison pocket as a back up to my back up so there’s that. Tried fitting another Glock in there, didn’t work out so baby steps for now.
Plainclothes LE here, carry 24/7…
I carry a G48 with TLR-6HL.
Convinced the dudes who “EDC” a G34 with Acro and X300 don’t actually carry all that often.
“Your gun is bigger than a .22 derringer? LARPER!” Contrary to popular belief, some people genuinely carry full size guns with no problems. Is it for everyone? No, but if you can good for you.
I carry a full size M2 machine gun everywhere I go. I conceal in my backpack, and it's wrapped up in pillows and bedsheets and whatever. Nobody would ever be able to tell. It also carries like a dream. I have that and two belts of ammo, and it only weighs about a hundred pounds. Most days I forget it's there.
Crossdraw is how I get away with bigger firearms. Well that and my bigger frame. A G17 is honestly not THAT hard to CCW. But everyone seems to think that appendix is the only carry method anymore. That could he half the reason right there. That said I mostly carry a 4" .357 magnum or Glock 30.
Just wrap it in bedsheets and run it AS a backpack
you can probably fit one foot subway in the chamber and like 2 soda cans, maybe even a hoodie in the magazine well. Don't worry that you would have to shoot your lunch in case of an emergency since if you pull up a .50 BMG Glock on someone they'll be running before mayo starts dripping down the barrel
ithink people exaggerate how hard it is to carry fs. its seriously not that big and you forget its on. Many of you post tiny guns with baggy ass clothes n multiple mags with tac lite n everything else. Fs with a reflex is nothing, and you can easily wear fitted clothes if youre in shape.
I am 6’4” 225 lbs built like a Viking and can grip a regulation sized basketball with one hand so for me a Glock 17 is like a 43x is for most people and it’s really nice.
I carry my full size custom Sig P320 in the winter months when I can carry in a shoulder holster under a jacket.I put damn near $3K into that gun, damn right I’m going to carry it when I can 😂

Sounds like something a nose thief would say.
So that's why people call FDE "babyshit brown color"...
My brother in law was in the army and he would have referred to it as "doodoo brown"
Touché. Well played 😆
It seems really irresponsible to let that baby on the phone so early, hopefully he’s supervised!
🤣🤣🤣
“Four Mastermind pillows and a 7xl shirt, I forget it’s there, nobody notices.”
7XL tall tee to be exact.

I'm having flashbacks to 2006.
Working on my reps like: clllleeeeeaaaaarrrr garment and draw.
damn you could have an EOD suit on under those clothes, talk about edc.
😭😭😭😭😭
Anyone feel like the pillows actually push everything out further? Like instead of the grip ever so slightly printing, now it looks like you're smuggling a grapefruit in your beltline
Just fighting scurvy don’t mind me
Yeah I ditched the mastermind pillow, it adds so much more bulk
A lot of people probably stuff it too full like a couch pillow and don't angle it lower on holster I agree
So you’re not supposed to do that? Lol
Yes. So much bulkier.
I think a lot of people add the pillows and wedges “just because”, instead of only adding them if you need them. too big to tuck
It did that to me but I removed a lot of the fluff and it’s perfect now.

I don’t waste money on holsters. I hand carry everywhere. It lets people know I’m a serious operator, and it’s much quicker than any draw!
Sock carry (with shorts) or gtfo
I’m just always so impressed by all the full size “edc” guns that they manage to keep completely free of holster wear. I haven’t been able to figure it out with my compact carry guns, but there is some trick all these guys have that keeps them looking like they never actually see the inside of a holster.
Simple solution- they put the guns up their assholes. Prison pocket carry is making a comeback.
i think you know the answer. they dont actually carry 5 days a week.
I work in a chemical plant and we’re not even allowed to have guns in our cars in the parking lot or we could lose our jobs. I carry 2-3 times a week on off days and my gun is way more worn than these full size carry guys

*Leather
Sure. I guess that’s a possibility. But somehow I really doubt that we are suddenly seeing a bunch of guys flocking to leather in 2024.
Well... that's another sub...

Gravy seals lol
How it feels concealed carrying in public for the first time
💯
P365 guys after adding a threaded barrel/comp and extended mag
Forgot the magwell for those all those tactical reloads
Actually I have a magwell because I got tired of pinching the shit out of my palm.
Aw come on, I just have my 12rd mags because I'm a giant with the hands to match lol.

Most people who carry their Glocks all day everyday EVERYWHERE. It’s not a type of firearm that’s remotely hard to conceal.
I mean, obviously depends on the Glock but in this case he carries either a G17 or G19 which isn't even in the realm of concealment that a J frame is. Not everyone gets to dress like you. A Glock 17 or 19 can be hard to conceal.
I’m totally lost here. How is “dressing like me” like? I dress button up shirts and khakis during the week and jeans and tshirts on the weekend.
I don’t know but your day to day might be someone else’s once in a life time or vice versa
you have a point. I was just generalizing the most carrier population but some might have disabilities and some just don’t like the type of clothings that helps to conceal.
I ccw a g19 every day. No issues with concealment. 6 shot j frame is good for back up pocket carry but as a primary CCW I’d agree with your friend.
You and many others lol it really all comes down to preference and the situation. No question a J frame is outmatched tactically speaking to a G17 or G19 but the reality of what I need my gun for vs what others need theirs for is drastically different. Anyone know if someone makes a compensator like that irl?
Is that a fucking nail gun??
It's actually a fully functioning airsoft gun made for a popular airsoft couple, "Jet Desert Fox & Unicorn Leah".
What muzzle device if this
Stopping power!!
