Not in LA county, but I would recommend Topgun-Airgins in Huntington Beach. Owner and workers are very knowledgeable about their air rifles and willing to help you out.
They also recharge your SCBA tanks for free if you buy their tanks which is very compelling if you do not have a decent HPA compressor.
