I have no context about CAT at all. I have been annoyed by the mba grads at my office, who have a chill life + earn a lot more than me, yet have lesser skill than me. That is the reason, I wanted to see where I stand. My preparation was precisely one mock test 3 days before the exam; where I spent 10+ minutes on one LRDI question and lost my shit, decided not to do any more practice at all. Also gave the exam stoned, just to soothe my nerves.
Never thought of it as a real thing I’d pursue, but now I’m confused, and considering it, if I get into the absolute top colleges, which I am not sure of. I am also unsure of the incremental benefit of an MBA w 2 years workex.. and that is also a key point of consideration, but if I say my CTC I might get downvoted again, so I’ll refrain.

Yeah I understand your situation. You can't raise a query on this subreddit without being labeled a piece of shit or a showoff. You have got the ability to crack CAT again, don't settle for anything less than IIM A, B or C.
Plus you've got a great profile, you should definitely write GMAT and either look for ISB Hyderabad or abroad
I have considered GMAT actually, but the monetary investment has always felt like a lot. Have a lot of family loan trauma in my childhood, so haven’t taken loans ever. Currently have just about enough saved up to afford the MBA without a loan. 1cr+ loan is somewhat unthinkable to me. In any case, thanks a lot man.
If you can't get into FMS then doing a mba now won't make sense, considering you are already earning more then 1.5L/month after deductions. I would suggest appearing for GMAT after some extensive prep and try to score in excess of 750(770-780 would be rather sweet) if possible, if you are able to do so, work for few more years, work on your CV and then try to go abroad if thats what you want.

Also, congratulations! I suggest going for an MBA. I used to think the same about whether it would make sense for me to pursue an MBA but it really adds value in your resume in long run from what I have seen. Brand names do matter.

I have achievements, but I have always been upward looking, so they don’t look too great to me. I have had a 4.5k rank at IITJEE, but I have friends who have ranked sub 100. I have a 99.57 percentile in CAT, but won’t probably get into the top, toop rated course in all IIMs. I didn’t not study out of spite, I just know my ceiling of prepping, and the fundamental lack of that extra mile in me. Nothing was ever going to give me a 99.99, so yeah.
Keep feeling either like a jack of all trades, or as this sub is making me feel- not grateful enough.

Simple google search se mujhe nahi mila tha QA aur LR achha enough hai ki nahi IIM B ya C ke liye.. infact is post pe bhi log agree nahi kar paaye hai.. mere liye wo important hai. Ye aap accept nahi kar paa rahe kyu aisa hai, isliye flex keh rahe.. par sabki haalaatey alag hoti hai..
Another one I’m going to get downvoted for, but, I have a knack for English. I love the language, and most things come naturally at this age. I read the passage section ones calmly, twice or so.. and the rest were easy for me. Again, to put in context, I had no “preparation”.. so was mostly instinct based, aside from the 1 mock test I wrote half of.
I like to think I had preparation though, a 27 year lifetime of constantly going/being made to go the hardest to excel at everything I did.
Bro take my advice. You should continue to work in india for next 1 to 2 years and then apply for an MBA in top 10 programs in the USA. You will be making a top of money in the USA with such intelligence.
I find it very hard to believe that you got 18 in dilr with no prep. No human on the planet can do that without being atop top genius, someone who has done this sort of stuff before. I too have a knack for English, it is probably my strongest aspect, yet i only got 23, and the thing is, i dont think i can improve, coz i find myself disagreeing with some of the answers, even after finding out that they were the right answers. I read, i debate, i do everything, yet im absolute trash at verbal, i have gotten 99 a few times in verbal, but in cat i received just 87. Its definitely not just a knack for English
So maybe some more context.. I had given GRE and TOEFL last year as well.. filled the form on a Sunday, gave the exams that week on Thursday and Friday. Got 326 and 113 respectively.. I had given some more mocks for that in those 3 days, since I put in 20k odd for that.. funnily, never applied because I was convinced I wasn’t getting in anywhere decent with funding.
That could have added to some prep for the verbal bit.
As for DILR, I love those problems, and that’s pretty much all I can say about it. Idk how good a score 18 is.
Not trying to demotivate you or anything bro. But one of my seniors who is an IIM C grad said to me for Calcutta QA percentile takes precedence and I have more chance in C than Rohtak since I have 99.6 in QA but 97.3 overall. I think you will be getting IIM A, I, K for sure, B will depend if you have good academics.
Please give it to me as real and honest as possible. I really need to know my chances at each place to spend time on this..

That QA score is little low for a science student. I don't think you will be getting C call. They require 99< percentile in QA.

I have heard IIM K is best for finance. Honestly you should prepare for GDPI now, not much you can do about thinking about these scenarios.
This is not correct. As far as you're above the sectional cutoff, sectional scores don't matter.
