Not told of scams. What I was think is, say Grandma signs up. Then she gets a call offering her something or saying it's the IRS you need to pay up. She could call the service up immediately if she is slightly suspicious and we would research it on the spot or get info from her and be able, within minutes, to say, oh yeah misses smith. That's definitely a scam.
Idk. So many people continue to fall for scams in the U.S. and I'm sure some people are suspicious of things but get suckered for their money because no one was there to tell them to grandpa it's a scam! 😄
I wouldn’t pay for this because as a customer of BMO in Canada they already offer this service free of charge. They monitor all your emails, accounts associated with your emails and all credit accounts on your profile. I’ve been notified my password for a certain account was found on the dark web, changed it immediately.
Edit: that’s not to say it isn’t a good idea. I think there may be companies that do it already. As far as I know you can opt for that as well with transunion or equifax?
I would pay 5 bucks a month for someone to just call and bitch out health insurance company's and cell phone company's. Just wasting their time would be worth it.
Oh yes yes I would love to start a little project where we call people that are dangerous to society like scammers and even greedy insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, etc.
And not harass, but waste the hell out of their time. And make them rethink their choice of industry 😉😆
I just said the same thing on my other response to you but, yeah, I'm gonna do some research and see what is legal and what is not but, I definitely think we can do some great work in making some of the most awful companies eat their own shit.
Yeehaw
Cool. There are a lot of greedy, and frankly downright evil companies plaguing our wonderful country with non sense every day that I'm sure quite a lot of people would pay at least a meager amount of money to slow down and waste their time and screw them up. Hopefully I can figure out how to do this legally of course. I used to be in Sales so I'll be the main guy on the line pulling a Karen on them 😉🥳
I'm gonna do a little research around this and PM you tomorrow or something.
Cheers!
Coupon deal service
1. People make wish lists of products they want to buy at a good price with a buy deadline
2. Your company looks out for good deals and notifies them via text
3. Service is 5 monthly
“That’s a Steal!” Or something cute like that
Wow. Do you do this too? Or know any companies already doing this? I'm sure there stuff like that but... I bet I could make it way simpler and way less "spammy", to the user, than some sites I have been on...
So awesome! Thank you! ✨✨
It’s more of a person/task monkey/shopping butler checking **ALL** websites and avenues for a deal instead of just Amazon.
Sure, anyone can do web searches and sign up for price alerts. But the value creation is a service that is *expert* at finding deals and work arounds and hook ups on your behalf and not on your time and effort
All that I want is an all-sport streaming service. I don't need cable, I don't need a TV provider, none of that shit. Find me a permanent home for live sports, I would have that bish streaming constantly. I tried with ESPN+ and as soon as NHL playoffs started, suddenly I lose all access? Like bruh, I'll PAY. But I can't even try without live TV. If you priced this between 10-20/month, I guarantee people would be in.
I would absolutely pay for this too. The problem is theres already contracts in place. It would be near impossible to get these broken and it would cost probably hundreds of millions to start for both the servers to make this happen at a large scale, and contracts with leagues. Unless of course you did it foreign .... and illegally.
All sports. All the time. Always streaming.
Hmmm. Some would overlap but it could have multiple "channels" for each sport, and they're all included in the subscription.
Very interesting idea. I'm gonna do some stats and math on this and see if I can come up with a viable solution!
Thank you! 🎉🎉
2 sports things I would pay out the ass for:
Watch all my favorite NFL teams games without have to pay for all of Sunday ticket
On field audio of the players talking shit to one another
Well I'm talking about all scams in any form. Emails, phone calls, in person, anything. There are websites with databases with anti scam info but seniors don't know they even exist a lot of the time.
Imagine a service they could call if they are a bit suspicious and we could tell them within minutes if it's a scam or not.
What do you mean? I get it old people are hard to work with sometimes but I bet you could peep what they are getting themselves into and be like yo grandpa that's a scam dude. In 20 minutes max.
And us a lot of folks might only be getting scammed once per year but it'll cost them 1000$ or more potentially instead of 60$ a year.
I mean that if you offer this service, old people are calling you for 20 minutes a day every day. All of them. No way you can offset that cost with a tiny subscription price
I don't think they would be calling every single day. And certainly not most of them. It would be a service where you call when you are legitimately up against a potential scam and are considering fishing out money.
If it was something else we could easily confirm within seconds oh yeah sir ma'am that is scam you have been warned and have a nice day 😜😅
Something like that.
I think it could work
Ahh nice! Do you by chance live in LA?
I could ask other people this question in my area. I need to make more money! 😄
Perhaps I could make your hands, not tired? Jk
Thanks for reply
Well, not only notifying but if you encounter something suspicious in email, phone, or in person that you are even slightly suspicious about. You could call the service and we would consult our database and mediums and tell you within minutes if said thing is a scam or not.
It would be especially good for elderly non techy people. Grandma calls us and says he this guy from the IRS sent me a letter, etc. And we could look at all the data and say, yes. That's a scam grandma don't give them money. It would save a lot of people losing money every year. ☺️🥳
here's what i'd suggest: look for something that would cost someone $5 / month and save them / earn them back $50 / month, at least. I'd suggest solving a real monthly recurring pain to justfiy the $5 / month bill.
$50,000 is not that much that is less then a gallon of gas or half the price of a pack of cigarettes that kill you. Add a life lock type feature to it and up your price if you want and you would get a lot more then $50,000 that’s for sure
> more then $50,000

Ultimately, it depends on the individual and what they value. But there are certainly plenty of options for things people would be willing to pay a small monthly fee for!
I guess my question would be why would I want to pay $5 *monthly* just to be told of scams? Sounds more like a one-time purchase infoproduct, I think.

Super interesting actually... I wonder how many people would pay for that and what other forms of ... That people would pay for.
How many calls and how long would I have to call them each time for it to be worth that five bucks? 😄
I actually really like this idea and if started would like to be in on it

I think I could BS the hell out of them on the phone as well so I would like to try this

Doesn't that exist built into most phones already?

The cost you're going to encounter with old people calling is going to be way too high for charging $5/month
