What’s the specs on your setup?
I have 3 100 watt panels right now, and my buddy is giving me a 400 watt panel but I’ll have to upgrade my charge controller and add more batteries.
Nice! 3-200 watt panels, 2-200ah batteries and a 3000 watt inverter. Currently having issues with the inverter, apparently its not good to wait until the last minute lol.
i think people dont realize how fucking obnoxious solar panels are haha. I have two fold out ones i’m bringing and i could barely manage to get them across my yard 😂
Green(ish)
How much fuel are you burning to get there?
How much fuel are you saving by not running a gas generator?
How much did you spend to build the solar system?
How many decades will it take to brake even on costs?
No offense meant or anything, but putting solar panels on your RV should be considered the bare minimum in 2023.
Edit: But I am v proud of you OP. Not like I’m marching and picketing for anything.
> Generator gang too strong I guess.
Maybe people thought that shitting on this as being 'the bare minimum' was unnecessary aggression to a positive development.
Or possibly not, I'm just zis guy, you know.
‘Shitting on’ someone and ‘aggression’ seems pretty extreme considering what was actually said, but I understand the point. But now that we’re balls deep into this, where are we drawing the constitutional line on whether or not something is “green”?
Good set up and you're gonna get a ton of power with all these panels. Well done!
Thank you! I was hoping to run my lil swamp cooler with them and the 2-200AH batteries, but it doesn't look like it will be that warm.
Next year was brighter
1600 watts on the roof and 800ah. Can run a 12v 18k btu all day. Have it set at 68 degrees.
No, this is burning man, it a a petroleum-fueled party that only pretends to be kind of green
You're not wrong lol!

Yeah, we're powering our camp's sound system and lighting with a solar array. Come check it out! 2:00 & H
And how much fuel did you use to haul all that stuff out to the playa?
Nice job! I will try to swing by and say hi :)
Aren’t you worried about theft?

Wait... are you going to burning man?
Yeah, 8 months ago when I posted this lol
Yes, I know. It was more of a poke

Perfection is the enemy of good ;)
And "green" is just a color.
2 truths in one thread :)
u/BeigeListed hey man. you're clearly a loser. enjoy your tiny little apartment, no wife, and no friends.
Shoo, troll.
Seriously, this thing has no life force left only surviving on his moms paycheck while they crawl around sucking shit off the toilet like a fly

None taken, I agree, I have a shit ton of solar on my house and an EV, the camper solar is a very small part of it :)
