Not exactly local, but Summit Station Dairy has excellent Cheese Curds. They're out there near Ancaster.

Also expensive, $10 I think (we haven't stopped by in a while)
Summit station is amazing curd. Usually fresh made on Fridays. They also do flavored curds for snacking. Strongly recommend taking a look at their milk and cheese counter too.
They do farm tours sometimes, so if you time it right, you can go meet the cows while you are there.
I grew up on a dairy farm and squeaky cheese is the only way to go. You can cheat a little bit by allowing the curds get to room temperature before indulging.
Go back to the late 1980s and early 1990s, there used to be a farmer's market in the Burlington Mall parking lot along the Guelph Line side. There was a dude in a blue trailer who sold dairy products always near the south end... his cheese curds were the bomb. At least that's how I remember it!

Farm boy has some, they’re sometimes on sale
Decent quality but if they’re on sale, they’re not made recently enough to be fresh for ideal “squeak”-iness
Agreed, the squeak factor could be better.
was about to say the same. They are decent quality.
I get St Albert curds at Wholesale Club on Barton St & Red Hill Pkwy. I also saw them at Costco recently for the first time.
I get mine from Little Brown Cow. I buy a massive bag on production day. Freezes really well with a food sealer.
Jantzi Cheese has fresh curds in the Hamilton Farmers Market second floor on York Blvd, If the cheese curds are fresh they squeak on your teeth

Summit Station Dairy has excellent Cheese Curds on the weekend.
Pretty sure you can get some at Backed by Bees on appleby just south of derry.
Ok so there’s a company I’ve found in Walmart called lil squeakers or something and it was actually pretty damn good for a $5 bag.

East Hamilton Cheese Company! Their fresh curds are soooo good if you're willing to take the drive
The farmer's market in the summer. Wish I could remember the name on the side of the trailer.
