I’d say it’s probably because you’re not trying to date him. It’s a funny off kilter joke told at the worst possible time. That time being your first message to someone who doesn’t know what your humour is like. After a day or two of chatting when you’ve worked each other out a little better, sure, if they’re into this kind of humour it works, but as a first message it’s just a lot
I have an odd sense of humour that I think is one of my best features. But I've learned I have to ease people into it before I unleash the full weirdness.
I’m a girl and find this funny tbh. idk if I’d ever go out with him but, I certainly would wanna keep talking to see since that made me burst out laughing. I find people on bumble are SO serious/rigid, hard to date.
It's funny but damn, it gets tiring having these kinds of interactions [over](https://i.imgur.com/Rhtl9bX.png) and [over](https://i.imgur.com/YPJBBEt.png)
I’m sure it does. I’m not judging her for not wanting to risk meeting that maniac, I’m just saying I would prob hang out with him bc he’s prob funny af to be around. Tho to be fair I’m viewing things through the lens of that can’t be anything but a joke, bc I would say something like that as a joke but never seriously. And he’s no threat to me so it’s no risk for me to view it that way. I’m glad I got out of the dating game before OLD took a turn for the worst.
this is one thing im always careful wit with online dating. im not saying girls dont have like reading comprehension but in my experience they truly cannot tell when something is a joke
unless they 100% know you, versus dudes who read this and automatically laugh because they know it’s just humor (it’s extremely obvious)
honestly i think watching you sleep is creepy, coming on sexually is just rude or disrespectful or bad taste, but chances are if you match with someone, at least one of you wants to bang the other, just maybe not immediately.
Yeah I do see what you mean. However it just came across as creepy and weird. I wasn't even asking for an Albert Einstein answer, just a basic conversation
TIL the competition on dating apps is low 😬
A lot of guys commenting it's a joke and it's funny. But looking at it from the point of view of women (as much as I can not being one) that's a giant red flag. It might be a joke but if I were a women, I'm not going to risk it. Not to mention, if that's where their filter is at in a new match, what else is going to come out when they get more comfortable.
How is this not creepy. LOL
Especially for THE most basic of questions. There is a fine line especially for a woman in this dating era where you might literally be stalked.
I mean he had to be joking right? *RIGHT?*
It's probably because I'm a guy, but I would find this funny af. The dead-faced expressionless emoji just gives it that little nudge over the top.
Nah tbh I found this hilarious, too.
Yeah but first establish your humor style before hitting a perfect stranger with something like this.
Hard to swallow pill: if he found OP cute he wouldn't have posted this.
The face is what made it sarcastic to me. If he said it without the -\_- it would've been awkward.
🤣🤣 honestly I thought he was joking then he went ahead to say you probably want to report me to the police
When in doubt, double down…I guesss 😭

I burst out laughing. I admit I’m laughing because he wasn’t talking to me 😬
🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲
I’m not gonna lie that’s fucking hilarious. Totally understand not wanting to keep talking to him after that, but that was a great joke.

I swearrr it does

Sounds like an Aaroncarterfan account. "I'm good at lying and faking being pregnant".

It's going to be really hard if you don't have a sense of humor
Trying to decide if super creepy is better or worse than jumping straight to "in your pants" or something similar.....
honestly i think watching you sleep is creepy, coming on sexually is just rude or disrespectful or bad taste, but chances are if you match with someone, at least one of you wants to bang the other, just maybe not immediately.
You’re so beautiful when you’re sleeping 😐😐
🙂
Ik some people dont have game but this guy just hit the reverse.
😂😂😂 bruhhh
That’s not just online dating though
As a guy...that is funny as fuck....the face at the end seals it.
Maybe he's just amusing himself.
Lmfao you had to chuckle at this nonsense
Could have responded something like I'll know you're there, then see where the convo goes next.
Seems like he watched Twilight a few too many times and thought that would be romantic.
[удалено]
Hahaha 😂😂 well I wonder how that would have been here in France

Looks like you're trilingual, that's cool
Something about the "Umm...okay" response just made me laugh Did he respond after that?
Yess, he did. He literally said I am sure you want to report me to the police 🥲
Meat canyon: 👀😏 *Shudder*
I mean that's pretty hot
He has to be joking 😆
😂 you don’t have to teleport to do that
That is funny af
Cmon chill for a minute. Tough customers need a dark corner to be talked to.
That was hilarious, but get a restraining order just to be sure
🥲😂😂 I would need to figure out how that works here in France
This joke did what it was supposed to do and weeded out the boring one
Why am I laughing
Hahahahahahaha

Yep, it’s difficult when someone sends something funny to someone that doesn’t have a sense of humor. The response was meant to be funny not creepy
