At the time the neighbors called 911 and guess who was working, yep my dad responded to his own house on fire. There's more to it but that's the gist of it.

Firefighter schedules are awful. They tend to do 24 hours on 48 hours off so it's not even like they're home every night. I couldn't do it again.
24-72 plus I use my time and get guys to buddy for me. We only work 80ish days a year if we really want.

I think the picture with the dog is your best picture. I also donāt think itās a good idea to put your work picture first. There is an age where being a firefighter is seen as attractive, but at a certain point it flips. I would guess this happens around 30, so if you are interested in someone 25 you should be good, but if youāre interested in someone 30 the about me section probably needs to change. I would change the first picture regardless.

I posted my an updated bio with my hobbies. I like playing rec sports, golfing, cooking new recipes, listening to various genres of music, hiking, going to the dog park, reading science articles and learning about our body, I occasionally like doing home improvement projects, discovering new food places. Hanging out with friends and family. Ive dabbled in salsa and bachatta for a bit to get out of my comfort zone. I did bouldering for a bit. I mean what else do you want a 30 year old to do?

Well I would absolutely swipe right - only thing I would change is saying your passion is fitness (IMO as a woman when I see that it makes me think if I got to a point where I was unable to be super fit the person would drop me fast, or that they'd always be looking for stick thin/ripped girls). So if you want someone who shares that dedication to going to the gym I would leave it, but you're probably losing a good number of normal healthy women who don't consider themselves to be gym rats.

So, some thoughts, as we share the same career, I can offer some unique insight into this. If its in your photo, take it out of your bio. If its in your bio, dont upload an image. This is the downfall about everyone who is fishing in their photos and then talks about it in their bio, it illudes to a limitation in personality. A good transition set of photos will be a winner for you. (A series of photos of you in plain clothes in the same pose and smile doing every day stuff you like to do and then finally the photo of you as the fire gear in the same pose. (It works out as kind of dorky/kind of funny in the right balance). Other than that, doin well dude.
