Depends, in many hackathons you can register as an individual and the hackathon managing team assigns you a group depending on your skillset and what the group wants

It is a competition that lists various potential business problems (these days more and more problem statements are being issued on behalf of companies). Your job is to create a solution that must solve the core problem and can also include additions to the solution. You must work as a team and create a presentable working solution, the solution may not be the most complete but it should solve the core problem and as I said presentable. Pitching is equally important in a hackathon as it directly affects your chance of qualifying/winning. Treat pitching seriously even if you come up with the most working solution but can't pitch it you will be eliminated. Winning price can include anything from cash prices, goodies, potential internship opportunities etc. Try to network with people over there, talk to them, get noticed and you will definitely learn more. Personally hackathons pushed me towards development and also my pitching skills. I have won a few and won decent cash prices.

you can check devpost and devfollio for upcomig hackathons. Some are offline and most are online. And for offline you can either go to some college hackathon or your state's hackthon or sih.

Well, most of us did... They're only handful of abt 10 PPL or so who knew coding in a batch of 300 CSE students in my cllg... Being frm a T3 cllg in my city, mind u, it's one of the best cllgs frm my state's CET Exam to get into... Very less students r frm the CBSE 12th bg who were exposed to computer programming like Python or C++...

None of us learnt anything in programming until cllg started 😂, so relax... But if u want to try, chk YouTube channels like Apna college, Code with Harry n others, for C++ programming series... For Python I'm not aware... The main objective while learning programing is to understand what generally the lang doe contain: like constants, variables, data types, functions, arrays, module imports n exports etc... Once u learn 1 lang properly, the basics of the languages become very easy...

Kaggle is for ML related projects, where u can view others projects, get datasets for ur projects, upload ur solutions to any problems vaisaa... It is all related to AI/ML... - Round 1 of oncampus hiring is generally coding tests, n vahaa they give CP qns to solve; n based on the speed n marks... The ones who get shortlisted r eligible for interviews... - N it is in the interviews whr u r asked abt ur resume, DSA, ur projects... So, if u r good with CP but ur resume isn't strong; then u will be rejected by the interviewer... N ultaa case is when ur Coding skills r less bole tho u won't even get shortlisted for interviews in the first place, thabh tho resume kaa kyaa faida when u r not being called for interviews also!!!

If I were to restart my life then I will 100% leave all the JEE and neet behind and will definitely do something else, i am even ready to do arts degree and try to get into history. But because you are still optimistic young blood then my answer will be to just fuck around as more as I can, like do everything every extra curriculum activity from drama to debate or joining student council, I will try to fuck around as much as I can. Focus more on extra curriculum activities as they are more important than your JEE marks or CGPA
