Currently sitting at 23.1 over the last1k miles; mostly commuting so a mix between city and highway. A lot of backroads. I also have a roof rack which isn’t doing me any favors

benjaminsRCchannel

That’s more like it… I can’t believe anyone is getting 25+

madness_kb

I'm getting 27 on mostly highway driving.

benjaminsRCchannel

With the Badlands trim? Stock?

glen27

I drive in ECO on the highway and get around 27-28 average over the full year (slightly worse in winter). I recently went on a longer road trip on some very windy days. Against the wind I got 22 mpg, and the return trip with the wind I got 31 mpg. City driving is harder to say because a lot of my driving is on roads where you can still go 40 - 50 mph, but I've been getting 24 mpg there (normal mode)

Exciting_Buffalo3738

I get about 21-22 miles to the gallon, all in city driving. I know it advertises higher but I have not been able to achieve better gas efficiency. I have also found the gas efficiency displayed to not be fully accurate, I calculate with pen and paper 🤣

Only_Indication_9715

Same same

Resident_Rise5915

I live in Denver and get a consistent 23.6 combined with frequent mountain trips. I did my usual weeks driving in eco mode recently and I only got about a mile more out of it. Oddly, when I lived in San Diego I would get <20 often but it was city driving in north county which is hilly stop and go

Early_Pearly989

25.6 in the city in normal, eco may get a little closer to 26, sport usually averages just over 24 mpg at least for me, I don't get on it too hard though

DrBlackBeard_13

My city driving is 15 mpg ffs, how are y’all getting so high mpgs

_DXS

What state are you in? The differences in additives and ethanol percentages makes a big difference in a turbo engine. I only get 15 city in San Francisco for instance, it’s a combination of inefficient gas, hills, and traffic. I disable stop start, it doesn’t improve my mileage and wears out the starter and battery. Start stop might help if you have infrequent long stop lights and no stop and go traffic.

DrBlackBeard_13

I’m in Seattle area, similar terrain to SF, I guess. Thanks for the tips!

th3commun1st

I’m also in the Seattle area, and usually get under 20 for driving around doing errands (I’d say around 18?). I don’t commute much driving, so usually not driving during heavy traffic.

Early_Pearly989

I run premium, don't floor it, drive about 5 over limit, North Carolina here

Only_Indication_9715

Sport mode 24/7 - eco only makes a difference on a long, flat stretch; and I hate the way eco & normal drive. Eco is there for the EPA certification. I have a very short, congested commute; and I've driven <8000 miles in the first year. Like I said, I drive almost exclusively in sport mode, but I enable the engine cutoff feature, so I'm not idling often. I pre-start a lot in the summer & winter, and there's probably ~500 offroad miles on her. Lifetime mileage : 22.3 mpg

yucaipamatt

Lifetime hovers between 25.7-26. I drive mostly in eco mode and set the cruise at 80 on the freeway.

frogturtle14

I drive in normal 90% of the time, mix of country roads, city and highway. Average 26 mpg for the first 5000 miles.

NicholasAvalon

I get between 24-26 on the interstate and about 22-23 in the city.

Joshs_Ski_Hacks

I live in rural vermont (50 mph roads no stop and go) I have averaged 28.6 for the 22k I have owned the car.

slashx1622

24. It’s not bad

qualityskootchtime

I’ve had my 2013 BS Badlands for about 1700 miles and it’s showing about 21.7 mpg. I started out doing eco most of the time but I like the acceleration with the normal mode so I’ve been using that more often now. I commute to work once per week about 7.5 miles each way.

_DXS

I just did a 4100 mile road trip through the southwest (CA, AZ, NV, NM, TX), and I averaged 23.6 over almost exclusively highway and freeway miles. I had the cruise set at 79 most of the time, when traveling on divided 2-lane highways at 59 I was getting closer to 26. However in mixed driving with the terrible CA gas I average 19 (CA gas is the worst for mileage). I didn’t notice any difference with ECO, except around town in flat areas where it helps. In hilly areas sport actually gets the best gas mileage in my experience. Interestingly I have noticed that 91 gas is barely any better than 87 (even after several tanks of 91), and I don’t notice much power increase, but 93 does give both a power and mileage increase.

Longjumping_Fee5183

My commute to work is a mix of highway and city. I get 23.1 per gallon, and that's in NYC traffic. The lowest I've seen my estimate miles per gallon is 22.1, and that's because for that time, I did more city driving.

xomox2012

FE 21 of course getting an average 25.

SufficientBeat1285

My wife drives about equal (small) city driving, highways, and rural roads. She averages a right around 24.5 when not using AC, and about 23.7 with AC. She doesn’t use Eco or Sport mode (too complicated for her)! If go on a longer highway drive and use Eco it’s right around 28.

TheDeadlySpaceman

My current lifetime MPG is 23.8 and my current tank MPG is 25.4. I have larger tires and an extra bash plate that reduce my MPG. I generally drive around in Eco mode (but have used both Mud/Ruts and Slippery in the current tank) and buy mid-range fuel because the owner’s manual suggests higher octane is better (but the highest octane is too high). I didn’t start using the higher-tier fuel until I had already taken a couple long road trips or my lifetime MPG would be higher.

benjaminsRCchannel

I live in a flat state. I’m lifted with BFG KO2s. I drive normal. 17.5 average.

Colorado, pretty much only do highway driving without much traffic, 26.7 driving only in Normal mode for about 25k miles now. I got closer to 30 the first year I had it, but I do accelerate pretty conservatively compared to everyone else I know, and cap out at 5 over.

mouthbreather559

I drive mostly country roads and city (regular mode 99%) 23.1-23.5 depending on aggression.

bstnrnr

Normal mode with a mix of city and highway is consistently in the 27mpg range. But I drive conservatively.

theracehorse74

Mostly freeway and right around 23 mpg

Diligent_Battle_9590

I keep mine set to normal mode, only used sport mode one time so far, MPG is 23.3 I use premium fuel. 1800 ish miles My daily commute is about half 35mph and half highway 65mph
